Katherine was more than I could ever have asked for. At first, I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money on a day of coordinator. But in hindsight, I don't know what I would have done without her help. She brought staff with her and she took care of every single detail. There are things she thought of that I would never have known to think about and it made a huge difference. I have sisters and we will definitely be using her again for those weddings.
My husband and I planned most of the wedding ourselves and handed things over to Katherine as the event came closer. She was able to speak with me about all of our plans and seamlessly execute our vision. She took me through each minute of the event and we discussed exactly how I wanted every detail to come out. As a result, my wedding went off without a hitch. We had concerns with the weather as I was having an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. She dealt with my concerns and the logistics flawlessly. Her staff took care of everything that my husband and I needed during the ceremony and reception. Her value is enormous. Anybody considering hiring a wedding coordinator should definitely devote the space in their budget to Katherine.
I’d like to express our great appreciation and respect for Katherine Butler and her assistant Amanda from Katherine Elise Events for a job well done. Katherine served as our day of coordinator on our wedding day, and we are absolutely indebted to her for how successful our wedding ceremony and reception was. From organizing our ceremony rehearsal, to timing out the important events on our wedding day, Katherine went above and beyond her call of duty at every level.
First, some back story. My husband and I essentially planned our wedding ourselves in the city we live in currently and almost our entire guest list came from out of state for the weekend. We couldn’t expect our close family and friends to have the resources to be in charge, and WE ourselves didn’t want to be in charge on the day of the wedding. We weren’t trying to make a huge production out of our wedding, and we wanted to keep it simple, but we also felt it was very vital that we have someone to help us out with the logistics. However, we also had a limited budget. We had signed a contract with a different day-of coordinator about 9 months prior to our wedding. A few months after signing, this vendor backed out of our contract. We had negotiated a discounted rate and service agreement, and I was completely at a loss. I figured there was no way we could find someone at that point who would be willing to help us. I turned to the vast network of bridal resources on the internet for help/advice and found Katherine. We met, discussed our ideas for how we wanted the wedding to be and what we needed help with, and she offered her services at a price that I can still hardly believe. She was SO willing to help us out and go out on a limb for us. At this point, we were feeling a little burned by our experiences with wedding vendors, but I really felt after meeting with her that we should trust Katherine. As it turns out, it was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding process and we were SO incredibly lucky the way everything worked out. I have NO doubt that Katherine’s services greatly surpassed anything the other vendor might have done for us.
Katherine stuck with us every step of the way, even when things didn’t go quite as planned. She was there to give us support/advice when our catering company went out of business six months before the wedding, and then when our new catering contract was SOLD to another catering company a month before the wedding (yes, this all really happened, and yet still everything turned out perfectly! Moral of the story, brides: DO NOT WORRY!). Katherine always reassured us that things would work out, and she was definitely a source of calm during the slightly crazy times. To top it all off, a month before our wedding, Katherine herself had some family issues to attend to which required her to move across country. She *STILL* honored our agreement and came back for the wedding, which is such a testament to her work ethic and the kind of individual she is.
On the day of our wedding, every aspect of our wedding planning that we had discussed with Katherine was executed perfectly, and with such attention to detail and professionalism. Additionally, Katherine took care of all the details that we had not even thought of, and she did everything always with our best interests in mind. My mom is *still* talking about how amazing it was that she didn’t have to worry about anything! Afterwards she was just so impressed that, “Katherine had taken care of everything!” My mom and our family in general had so much fun at the wedding, and everyone was completely able to relax and be stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!
It was also obvious that Katherine and her assistant made it a priority that my husband and I were able to enjoy our guests and our party and they made this easy for us by constantly making sure we had food and drinks and anything else we needed before we even had to ask. Additionally, Katherine was extremely thoughtful and involved us in the process of the carrying out of the day when she knew we would appreciate it. For example, it meant so much to me when Katherine sent a text with a photo of the flowers after they were delivered but before we had arrived at the venue. These special touches let us know that Katherine had everything under control, but also showed how much she shared in the excitement of the day and how it was playing out.
It was abundantly clear that Katherine is highly skilled at event planning has a multitude of experience in carrying out her events. Katherine is incredibly reliable and we had 100% trust in her and her abilities. We would recommend her to anyone for their event planning needs. We were blown away at her level of professionalism and count ourselves lucky to have had her on our side on the day of our wedding.
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!!!!!! Katherine was the best. I was pretty lost at first w/ the term DOC when I had another wedding planner quote me an astronomical price for Day of coordinating services. Katherine sent me a message and it went from there. Once we met up at the venue she came[ up with and idea on set-up and she made my vision come to life on the Day of the wedding. I was oblivious to anything and everything that was happening around me the day went very smoothly. Every time I stopped to offer help and she saw that I was stating to help she stopped me and told me to get back to enjoying the day!!!!. Katherine made sure we ate and drank and was merry. I even had a few of my vendors say that they loved her because she was on point and wished many others could be like her. I would definitely use Katherine's services again they were professional and Nice. I feel more secure when a business is run by family and this team is the best. I would recommend this company to anyone in the Tri-State are. Thank You!!!! Thank You!!! Thank You!!!
