Overall I am pleased with our purchases from Kay Jewelers. My husband bough my engagement ring there, and they were very helpful in choosing the right diamond, as well as warranty plans. When we went to buy our wedding bands, though, there were a few problems.
We purchased a plan, 10k yellow gold band for me, and had one special ordered in a comfort fit. My husband specifically wanted a plan tungsten band, and although they did carry a few, we had to special order his as well from a catalog. However, they never called us to tell us our orders were in, and when I went to check, they said that it turns out that they aren't able to get the ring that he wanted. I was disappointed that they simply never called us about it, but the lady that worked with us was very helpful in choosing another band. However, the issue happened a second time; they tried to place an order, but then found out the catalog company no longer carried what we wanted. So, I ended up purchasing his ring from an online company.
We did get engraving on my bad, and there was no problem with that.

My husband went out and picked my engagement ring without me and I could not have been happier but when we went back to Kay to find bands I could not have been more disappointed. I wanted a band that would match my ring and could not find anything. I ended up going to a hometown jeweler who made my dreams come true and understood what I was looking for and make sure that the band was wide enough to be next to my engagement ring and that the diamonds went completely from side to side which was exactly what I was looking for.

The service here was great. They gave us the attention we needed and special care even though we were not looking to spend very much money. The staff was helpful and friendly and made sure that we had just what we needed. We ended up with wonderful wedding bands for a reasonable price. I didn't think we'd be able to afford diamonds in my wedding band but they had just the right thing for me. Their extended warranty is fabulous.

We were walk-ins, and had a low budget and very specific tastes. The jeweler was able to find us two perfect rings in our price range, and Kay's has a trade in policy if we ever want to get nicer rings when we can afford them.
