I was disappointed with some aspects Kehoe’s services after the amount of time and effort I put in to it. I spent countless hours on consultations, walk-throughs, and calls over the course of five months to make sure that the many details of a multi-event wedding were in place. While the consultant was always very professional and organized, there was a wall of “we can/cannot do this” that it always came down to. I appreciate that to a certain extent because it was good to know that they were professional, but when it came to the creative elements of my wedding, it felt more like I was ordering widgets and not creating something beautiful. This approach to their service was at the heart of the disappointments with the décor.
After sending pictures and discussing in excruciating detail, the flowers in my bouquet were wrong and clashed with my dress, and the garlands used for the main part of our ceremony were made from cheap chrysanthemums held together with fishing line- mine broke in the middle of the ceremony. The biggest disappointment was the lighting, which was not sufficient- guests could not see people giving speeches, our logo was stretched across the entire dance floor, and the “wash of color” in the tent made large circles on the tent walls. I had been asking about this, up until 2 days before the wedding, and always heard back that it was sufficient. They did keep reminding me we had a tight budget (which was in the $40K range), but I had made it completely clear that we were willing to add in critical places like the lighting and that we were relying on their expertise to provide what was needed. Kehoe told us that they felt a complementary one-step upgrade on our centerpieces would have made up for the botched lighting; it did not.
Décor was the most important aspect of my day and I’m sad to say that I will always look back and remember that it fell short. And even worse, that I saw it coming and felt like I couldn’t do anything...

We worked with Renee Price at Kehoe Designs and she has been absolutely AMAZING! Not only is she lovely and professional, she genuinely enjoys every project she works on. We gave her a vague idea of how we wanted our reception to look and she has made the reality even more spectacular than we could have imagined. She is truly an artist and we were really lucky to be working with her. I HIGHLY recommend Kehoe.

Kehoe Designs – Renee Price – Floral and Décor: A
Kehoe does beautiful work, and overall, Renee was great to work with. Early on there were a couple hiccups in the planning process (original proposal was 3x my clearly stated budget, issues with translating what was shown in the sample showing onto the proposal). But all was cleared up quickly, and I have to say, the décor was beyond what I had hoped or imagined. Right now I don’t have my final pictures, but look in http://tinyurl.com/RoseWedding2 (towards the middle of the slideshow) and you will see some beautiful floral pictures that a friend took. You can also see the Chuppah they specially constructed for our wedding – very clean lined and modern – it was really stunning in the space. Renee was creative with my budget (which was comparatively small for Kehoe) – she designed the chuppah as well as the Lucite “troughs” that lined the aisle. They were filled with floating candles and flowers, and together with the runner, made a very contemporary, but warm feeling to the room. In addition, as I didn’t want a traditional wedding feel, Renee designed 8 or 9 different arrangements for me to have on the tables – each one was inventive and used flowers, fruit and candles in interesting combinations. http://tinyurl.com/RoseWedding has a photo of the candy bar they assembled (I provided candy and containers, they provided table, decor and arranged the candy). Everyone was blown away – although that may be partly due to the fact that I bought over 100lbs of candy ;-). They also did some simple uplighting, which was beautiful once it was darker outside.

Renee from Kehoe is wonderful and truly patient to have dealt with me!
She made our wedding like a dream come true. Kehoe is quite expensive, but if you've got the money, they can make ANYTHING happen! They do huge corporate events that are out of this world, but they also do small budget events, as well, to my surprise.
The main reason I went with Kehoe instead of other florists is because they do event design that is very artistic and out-of-the-box. I wanted more than just flowers; I wanted a florist who could also take care of lighting (pin-spotting), furniture rental that is typically not standard for weddings, and manage overall decor to get a cohesive look. I wanted a very chic/loungy feel to our reception. So, she designed a lounge area near the entrance of the dinner/reception area with modern white sofas, minimalistic white cubes, with pillows matching our wedding colors, cymbidium orchids and other flowers submerged in glass vases, votives/candels to get just the look I was going for. We loved it, people loved it!
We had high and low centerpieces that alternated between the tables. Again, I received a lot of comments on how unique our centerpieces were. Not the typical "flower in a round vase" type of thing. We had square tables w/ either
1) smooth dark wood box hosts loose succulents, moss, peonies and natural river rocks. Three tall glass vases are filled with burgundy cymbidiums and a floating candle
2) smooth dark wood box hosts loose elements (as above) and a manzanita branch tree adorned with 20 cymbidium orchids as well as hanging green amaranthus.
Anyways, check out the Kehoe studio in Chicago and flip through their portfolio. It's truly amazing.

I felt like I was walking into a dream. This company is more than amazing. My father first told me about them and I couldn't believe I could get them for my wedding. I described what I wanted and they went beyond that. I gave them full control over everything. I figured they are the experts and know what works. I just told them the vision I had and they saw even more. My ceremony was a winter wonderland and the reception was sleeping beauty. We had Black magic roses everywhere. Even the workers at the hall had never seen anything so beautiful. There were other parties going on that night and everyone had to look at our decor. I got the jaw drops I had been wanting.

I wanted a Winter Wonderland and they delivered! Vince and the team at Kehoe design exceeded my expectations!

I couldn't have been happier with my flowers! Kehoe had creative ideas the whole way, and they really brought the party to life with the decor. We used brightly colored gerbera daisies and everyone loved it!
Loved working with you guys! Thank you for your quick turn around.
