Hands down... Kelvin is THE BEST officiant! He spoke from the heart and created a beautiful ceremony for us. He incorporated everything we wanted and more! We loved how he mixed in the Hawaiian culture.

We had the pleasure of meeting Kelvin right before our wedding on April 2, 2013. A little nerve racking for a bride, however he did an AMAZING job. We could not have been more pleased with our ceremony including very neat Hawaiian traditions! I also appreciated his flexibility including my family members and reading of scripture which was important to me. Kelvin was very good about responding to email leading up to our arrival. I highly recommend him as an officiant! You will not be disappointed!!!

Our ceremony was one of the most unforgettable moments of our wedding day. Every moment was so heart felt and genuinely emotional, all thanks to Kelvin and his beautiful ceremony. Our favorite part was when Kelvin told us to take a moment and look at each friend and family member and truly share that moment with them. As we worked with our wedding planner she recommended Kelvin, she said he was the best so we hired the best! On our wedding day I have never felt more connected to my partner, son, family and friends and a huge part of that was due to Kelvin's spirit, presence, and words. The ceremony was perfect. I couldn't ask for any thing more. He brought our wedding group in close, called on our ancestors and made us take the time to look at each one of our guests in the eyes to acknowledge their love and presence for us. I'm a yoga instructor so breathing is so important to my practice and he had us take a moment to breathe into the ha, the life force. We felt so grounded and our heart chakras were wide open! From the moment we saw a video highlight of a ceremony that Kelvin previously performed, we knew that we wanted him to be our officiant. Though both my husband and I are spiritual people, we do not follow a single denomination. And since we both grew up in Hawaii, we wanted to add some Hawaiian elements to the ceremony. We met with Kelvin a few months before our wedding, and he was very dedicated to creating the ceremony of our dreams. After meeting in person we knew we had made the right decision as his words and vision focused around our love for each other and making our wedding a special, spiritual experience and journey. At the rehearsal a few days before, we did a walk through followed by a surprise ring blessing which our family and wedding party knew nothing about. We didn't really know what to expect, though Kelvin told us it would be a emotional yet gratifying event with the people closest to us. We formed a circle and joined hands, Kelvin did a Hawaiian blessing and prayer. The rings were then passed to each person, who approached us to share their love and blessing for our marriage. Never in my life have I seen so many grown men cry, it was the most touching and loving experience we've had. After the ring blessing, the chaos and hectic nature of the wedding planning simmered and we all felt closer as one whole family, rather then 2 separate parties. My husband and I also felt like a weight had been lifted off our shoulders, calm and in a peaceful place to now thoroughly enjoy our wedding. A few days later we were married in front of 150 guests, and Kelvin performed the most beautiful and touching ceremony. We felt at ease and could truly feel the love for one another. After the ceremony, almost every guest commented that this was the most amazing and unique wedding they had ever been too. Thank you Kelvin for making our big day the best one yet! We stumbled on Kelvin when looking for a officiant that had a more traditional Hawaiian approach. When we arrived on the island, we were surprised that every person we spoke to raved about how wonderful Kelvin's ceremony would be. All I can say is that it was beyond our dreams. All of our guests commented on the spiritual connections that permeated throughout our ceremony as a result of Kelvin's unique approach to each element. We had been in communication with Kelvin only via email prior to our wedding. When we arrived in Kauai the week of the wedding, we met for coffee to chat and get to know each other face to face, creating a bond. We asked Kelvin to perform a Ring Blessing Ceremony following our rehearsal...WOW. The Ceremony was extremely touching, truly re-grounded the group; slowing us down to take time in the moment, remind us why we were there and reflect on our bonds and relationships with those physically and spiritually surrounding and blessing us.

The day of the wedding was another awe inspiring day. Kelvin's words are genuine and from the heart. The sentiment brought joyful tears to the eyes of everyone. The experience is hard to put into words - but the feelings and emotions that were created at the ceremony lifted our hearts so high as he helped us create our perfect wedding.

Kelvin had great communication, a wonderfully calming voice, and presented a beautiful ceremony for our wedding. Kelvin was amazing! From the moment we met him we knew we chose the right officiant for us. We met with Kelvin about 6 months prior to our big day and he asked a lot of questions and explained to us what his/our ceremony would entail. The ceremony was unique and inspired, and Kelvin seemed genuinely excited to do what he does. We left the meeting practically skipping back to the car we were so happy with Kelvin.
A couple months prior to our wedding we emailed Kelvin to ask for a transcript of the ceremony because we had some overseas family coming that did not speak English and we wanted to have the transcript translated for our guests. Kelvin promptly obliged.
Come wedding day Kelvin went above and beyond. In addition to his uniquely wonderful Hawaiian ceremony, he surprised us, mid-ceremony, with inviting my grandmother from oversees to join us at the altar. He then proceeded to engage in a prayer with my grandmother, and other overseas guests, in their language. We were blown away. I will have wedding photos of those few minutes where my face expresses total shock and amazement. What a pleasant surprise!

Kelvin was a dream come true. If you are looking for a person that can channel the spiritual side of your relationship as well as the universe, their simply in my opinion is no other choice. He made our day so special I have a difficult time putting it into words.

Kelvin was great! There are only 2 things I would do differently: 1) I would have asked for a small microphone so that the guests could hear Kelvin's beautiful ceremony. We had our ceremony outside and the waves were crashing against the rocks. Guests only heard a portion of the ceremony. 2) I would have asked exactly how the ceremony would go. We were surprised when some family members were asked to come up and say something. It was kind of scary because one person can be unpredictable. Fortunately, it went well. However, if I had the choice, I would have excluded that part of the ceremony.

Kelvin conducted a beautiful marriage ceremony in the Hawaiian tradition on Shiprock Beach in Kauai. He combined the elements of a traditional religeous ceremony with those of the Hawaiian culture with beautiful results. We felt blessed to have him do the ceremony!

We had a small family wedding at the Plantation Gardens Restaurant in Kauai on 17th January 2012. We cannot thank Kelvin enough for the fantastic and professional ceremony that he conducted. Everything from the lei exchange, to the blessing of the rings by family members and the coconut water sharing ritual was just perfect. My husband and I didn't have a location or time picked when we came to Kauai, just a date. Kelvin was completely fine with leaving it open ended so we found a spot that spoke to us as a couple. He gave us a few ideas and the first few days on the island my husband and I just explored, eventually finding the perfect spot... mountains, crashing waves, now one of our favorite spots on this earth. The ceremony, traditional Hawaiian, spoke of the earth, wind, water, our ancestors as well as those to come in the future, our journey together, the depth of our love, our spirits coming together for this moment and continuing on together the rest of our lives. I wish there was a way to rate Kelvin even higher than 5 out of 5 stars! He was the best wedding officiant a bride could ask for. My ceremony was 11/13/10 and it was pretty stressful trying to plan things in Kauai from my home in California, but I was able to read a few reviews on Kelvin and communicate with him via email and he sounded exactly like what I was looking for. My wedding site coordinator was also married by Kelvin and she ultimately helped me decide to pick him.

My wedding ceremony was hands down the best ceremony any of my guests had ever been to and every single person and my wedding came up and told me how beautiful the ceremony was and that they would never forget my wedding. There was not a dry eye at my wedding! The ceremony was so touching and covered everything that is important to us and it was delivered in such a genuine and heartfelt way.

I can't say enough good things about Kelvin, you will not be disappointed if you are able to get him for you wedding!!

Long Overdue Review

Kelvin married my husband and I on October 5, 2010. Our wedding consisted of just my husband and I, our two kids, and Kevin's family; his wife who was also our photographer, their beautiful daughter and his sister who was visiting Kauai and came along to help watch the kids while the ceremony took place (thanks again!!)

Kelvin has an amazing spirit and has a clear connection to God and the earth. This same energy came pouring through during our ceremony. The incorporation of natural elements from the earth in our ceremony; i.e. water from the ocean, salt, and coconut water, amplified the already strong spiritual presence that enraptured us.

If any of you really Know Kauai, you know of the spiritual energy I speak of, and having Kelvin as your officiant is like having all of that energy embodied into one man--- he's amazing!

It was truly one of the greatest days of our lives. My only regret is not writing this sooner. Immediately upon our return, we began with the renovation of our home and expansion of our business. We got swept away in the usual "Main Land Madness". Luckily we have this day to look back on and remember, and to remind us of how life is truly supposed to be lived.

My husband and I were married by Kelvin Ho on the 28th May 2010 in Kilauea, Kauai. It truly was the best day of our lives.

While doing our research on planning a wedding in Kauai, Kelvin's name kept popping up in Hawaiian wedding stories we found online and in bridal magazines. We also found wedding videos posted on wedding videographers' websites of Kelvin's service. Watching Kelvin and the couples he married gave us goosebumps. We knew we had to meet this man!

Upon meeting Kelvin you could feel his presence. He was so lovely to talk to, he was calming and the most spiritual person we have ever come across. We felt that we made a great connection with Kelvin as he explained that his service involves honoring our grandparents and those loved ones that have passed, our parents and bringing two families together. We walked away from our meeting feeling that we were truly blessed to have him as our officiant. We were in safe, understanding hands.

Fast forward to the day of our wedding. As my husband and I stood before our friends and family with Kelvin, we have never felt so calm and comforted. Not only did Kelvin invoke all the love and happiness of all the people around us as if we were in large group hug, but he also made us feel as if we were the only people there; before each other looking into each other's soul and heart. We connected with every word he said, we connected with every person present...it was the most amazing spiritual moment we have ever had.

Kelvin made our parents feel so proud and involved as he asked them, unrehearsed, each to come forward to bless our rings. There was not a dry eye in the crowd.

After the ceremony, every person in attendance commented on how blown away they were by Kelvin's service and that they had never experienced anything like that before. They all truly felt it was the most AMAZING ceremony they have EVER witnessed and that they personally felt a part of it.

Not only did our four groomsmen, but several of our friends commented that Kelvin was the most soothing man they have ever met and "would it not be great to have him read you bedtime stories".

We will never, ever forget what Kelvin has done for us and we hope he can someday assist us with renewing our vows. We are so fortunate and blessed to have had Kelvin share our special day with us and we am 110% certain that you will feel the same too.

When we decided to get married, we knew it had to be in Kauai, the place we love most. Its beauty and the kindness of its people restores our bodies, minds and souls every time we're lucky enough to visit. And Kelvin embodies all that is good about Kauai. We bought him breakfast a few days before the ceremony so we could get to know the man who would be such a crucial part of our important day. As one guest later put it, Kelvin is a gentle and loving soul.

He's probably done thousands of wedding ceremonies in the last 25 years (including one for "Friends" star Matt LeBlanc, according to People magazine), but the enthusiasm and reverence displayed during our ceremony made it seem like he was performing it for the very first time.

The highlight came at the end (I don't want to spoil it), but you do something so simple and sweet that I will remember it forever. The ceremony was symbolic, spiritual and deeply moving. At no time did it veer into anything totally "out-there," which would have made our conservative parents uncomfortable.

Kelvin also let us personalize the ceremony with prayers from our church, vows that we had written, a speech and some readings by our family members.

As my 60-something, Catholic father-in-law said in an e-mail: "The Hawaiian rite was the most moving experience I have had in a long, long time ... perhaps ever."
