Working with Cindy and the Keswick Vineyards family was easy and one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process. A number of our guests commented on the beauty of the venue--saying it was by far the prettiest wedding venue they've ever seen. While it is a little pricey, the team works hard at making everything easy on you and pictures cannot do it justice. Well worth the money. Cindy worked with us every step of the way. She allowed us to meet several times, was always responsive, and down right friendly. She is also a photographer and can take you to a few of the hidden sites on the proprty for pictures. I would highly recommend this venue to those looking to get married at a winery in Charlottesville, VA!

Oh Keswick! What can I say.... You made my dream wedding come to life! This place is so gorgeous that I literally smile ear to ear every time I step foot on the property! If you are looking for an outdoor venue with a romantic, elegant feel, this place is the way to go! Cindy is amazing and helps out so much along the way. I will never forget my fairytale wedding!

My husband and I live in San Francisco,CA and really wanted to find a location in Virginia near where I grew up but loved the idea of getting married at a vineyard.
Let me tell you, nowhere in California wine country could you find a nicer venue than Keswick Vineyards. The owners and event staff thought of EVERYTHING to make your wedding day run smoothly and many of the items that cause the most headaches they included in the contract, and all at an incredibly reasonable price. Chair and ceremony rentals- INCLUDED, gorgeous Sperry reception tent-INCLUDED (I think it looks like the tent from the movie the The Notebook) , lights and dance floor and sound equipment for your DJ- INCLUDED, a fully stocked "man cave" and bridal suite- INCLUDED. Also, they very smartly designed a platform that has excellent drainage and astroturf for the reception tent- this looked natural, but eliminated ladies' heels and shoes poking through grass and getting dirty, and all the tables and chairs sat evenly. How smart! It really is designed for the perfect flow and they executed everything flawlessly. And, nowhere else that we looked had this. So unique, I imagine it will soon catch on at other locations.
In customer service and professionalism, they set the standard. We had nothing but great service and clear, prompt communication from the beginning of the contracting process to the follow-up after wards- the owner even took photos from the balcony of their home with a birds' eye view and sent them in a CD. (They arrived at our home only 5 days after we did!)
Also, an important note- Keswick Vineyards' wine is outstanding. They do require you serve their wine, but as they don't produce a sparkling, you can serve your choice. Also, you can get a discount on all wine purchased for the wedding if you join their wine club. (check to make sure still valid)
The only reason I listed 4 stars for flexibility is due to the fact that you cannot have a Band at this...

As everyone else has said in these reviews, Keswick Vineyard is the most incredible place to have a wedding. My husband and I have lived in Charlottesville for several years, and when we searched for our venue, we were looking for a place that was outdoors, affordable, flexible and that reflected the beauty of Charlottesville that we have fallen in love with over the years. The setting is absolutely perfect--the mountains, the tent, the vines, and the different well-manicured areas for ceremony, cocktails, and reception. We loved that we could be outdoors but still be protected from the elements if necessary. We even picked the venue before we tried the wine, and thankfully the wine turned out to be AMAZING! We have purchased a ton for our own collection, and several guests left with a bottle or two as well. We will continue to be members of the wine club and return for tastings as often as possible!
Not only does Keswick Vineyard provide so many great amenities and rental items in the cost, but what doesn't show up on the list of provided items is the incredible warmth and family feel that the owners create. Cindy was always an email away and ready to answer any silly or small question I had throughout the entire process. She made everything so easy and smooth. We visited the property several times throughout the year, and we were always welcomed with open arms. By the end of the wedding day, I felt like they were a part of my family and I know that I have a lifelong friend in Keswick Vineyard. They treat each couple like they are the most important, and I think they genuinely feel that way! We are excited that we have an amazing place to celebrate every anniversary for years and years to come. And as promised, Cindy went around snapping pictures of the day and drove us around on the golf cart to the best picture spots :-)! The guests fell in love with Keswick Vineyard and will be talking about the best wedding they have ever been to for a very long time :-)!

Beautiful! You could not ask for a more impressive backdrop for your wedding. The staff was fabulous and Cindy was wonderful. We came on several occassions to show our families the venue and we were always welcomed warmly. Everyone was proffessional and helpful. Cindy even snapped some beautiful pictures of our big day and sent them to us. I could not have asked for more!

Beautiful venue, exceptional service from all event planners and even the owners of the vineyard!

Absolutely gorgeous venue. My new wife and I (still sounds crazy) looked at several venues in and around Charlottesville, Virginia...so glad that we ultimately decided on Keswick Vineyards. Not only is the wine amazing, the vineyard, pond, mansion, and reception tent were perfect for our picturesque wedding!

Keswick Vineyards created the perfect setting for my husband and I to have our dream wedding. Not only is the venue absolutely breathtaking, but the people were incredibly accommodating, helpful, friendly and flexible throughout the process. I was really impressed that I had flexibility in making choices about how and where I wanted my ceremony and cocktail hour and how I would like to use the reception space. In addition, the owner Cindy was there on my wedding day helping me and my family, while also taking pictures which she shared with me later. These aspects make Keswick out of the ordinary in the wedding world in a really wonderful way - Keswick has the professionalism and experience of a commercial wedding venue with the friendliness and comfort you expect if you got married in a family member's backyard. I loved getting married at KV, and I can't wait to celebrate anniversaries there and hopefully one day take our children there to show them where we got married.

My husband and I fell in love with Keswick Vineyards at first sight. Between the Edgewood estate, the ceremony site right next to the vines, the pond (with swans!), the fountain, and the blue ridge mountains in the background, we could not have imagined a more beautiful or stunning location for our wedding. The owners, Al and Cindy, have dedicated their lives and home to providing this amazing venue, and they have cut no corners. Unlike other vineyards in the area, a couple has access to Keswick for the entire day of the wedding, so we were able to get ready, relax, and enjoy the beautiful property -- Cindy drove us around in a golf cart so we could take pictures at different spots all over the property. Cindy even followed us around with her camera and handed me a CD of pictures at the end of the night!
In addition to the beautiful venue, Keswick Vineyards is a great Virginia winery. Their tasting room is welcoming (to people and dogs!), and their wines are great. We were excited to serve such delicious wine at our wedding!

Keswick Vineyards is a beautiful venue and was the PERFECT place for my outdoor wedding. The staff there is top knotch - they meet your every need and were so attentive during my entire planning process.
The venue is set up perfectly. The evening started with the ceremony on the lawn overlooking the vineyards and blue ridge mountains. Guests then made the natural transition to the east lawn for coctails and appetizers. The final transition was down to the tent for the reception. The venue is the ideal place for an outdoor wedding yet still offers the charm of Colonial Virginia with the picturesque house and accessible carriage house for guests. Having the top floor of the carriage house available for guests to relax and for babysitters was definitely a plus.
This is one of the premier spots to get married in the Charlottesville area!!!!

Our wedding was the night after the natural disaster thunder storms that downed trees and knoecked power out across the mid-Atlantic region. The owners of the winery (Al and Cindy) and the event coordinator were up, cleaning up the premesis and making repairs so that our event could happen. They ran the whole event on generator power (the 1st time it was used!). Our guests had no idea there had even been difficulty at the venue. They remained blissfully unaware of how hard everyone was working behind the scenes, switching power sources to make sure that our wedding was exactly as we wanted it. Guests enjoyed taking pictures around the premises, and the babysitter used the upstairs rooms. Our whole wedding was stunning.

Barbara Lundgren and the Keswick family and staff were wonderful. They helped us get everything ready and setup and had multiple plans for rain and/or heat conditions the day of our event. And what a beautiful location! Thank you all so much for making our daughter and son-in-laws ceremony and reception so wonderful and awesome. Especially thank you all for your input and suggestions and helping us to make good decisions when we weren't exactly sure what to do - and not being pushy about it. Thank you all so very much.

What can I really say that you can't see in pictures of Keswick?! It's BEAUTIFL! I was most excited about the venue that we chose to have our wedding at. Barb was a joy to work with and we met Cindy (one of the owners) several times ahead of our wedding day who showed us around. The wine is fantastic and you will have some of the best photos you can ever imagine! Cindy also provided us with a CD of photos that she shot herself. You do take a risk with the weather and I worried about that the most but for us we got lucky!
GUEST

This place is great, you have it all day and you are the only wedding there so it is personalized just for you. Everybody is sooo nice and the owners, esp. the wife Cindy, are very involved in helping out. Cindy even takes pictures the day of your wedding and will send them out to you. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the wine is great!! All of my friends and family felt as if the venue was the prettiest they have ever seen!! The price is also pretty reasonable for everything it includes :) I could definitely not have had such a beautiful wedding without Keswick Vineyards as the back drop!!!
GUEST

Absolutely beautiful and totally fit the vision for what I wanted on my wedding day. Also, awesome to work with... really went above and beyond on the wedding day! The owner of the venue even took pictures of our wedding and sent me a CD 2 weeks after the event... an awesome and unexpected bonus gift, especially since it would be quite some time until getting my professional photos! Highly recommended :)

Keswick Vineyards is a like venue that you would see in a movie. It's a dream wedding venue. Our wedding was perfect because of this beautiful venue and the staff that comes along with it. Barbara Lundgren is a true professional that knows everything about weddings and the owner, Cindy Schornberg, is a pleasure and really takes the time to know each couple that gets married there.
The perks that come with the price of this venue are incredible. First, you have the venue from noon until midnight (12 hours!) and it comes with the huge sperry tent, ceremony chairs, reception (chivari!!!) chairs, all the tables you will need, bridal suite, groomsmen suite and amazing lawns that can host your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one place, while providing different setup options. There is really nice astroturf in the tent, which is great - no sinking heels and no wet muddy grass. Our guests commented that it was a nice addition. Our caterer also commented on how nice the facility, tables and chairs were.
Keswick is relatively new in hosting weddings, so we were able to see and use the new, quality features. Another nice feature is that the event space/tent is separate from the tasting room, so there is no need to wait until the tasting room closes to start your wedding. The event space is closed to the public offering you all the privacy you need.
The venue is simply gorgeous. Our guests loved taking pictures of themselves all around the vineyard and in front of the estate house, especially at sunset as the sun set over the Blue Ridge mountains. With all of this included, it is well worth the price as opposed to what you would pay at any other wedding venue in the area!
As far as coordination, Barbara is very responsive and she was always willing to let us visit Keswick to plan our event. We made multiple trips to picture what our wedding would look like, even with our parents and our vendors. Keswick lets you walk the grounds as long as you make an appointment. They also provided things we needed for our wedding day that we didn't think of like a wedding day checklist and insurance policy info.
A wonderful benefit of having Cindy (the owner) involved in our wedding, is that she took her own pictures and shared them with us. She also took us around the vineyard in a golf cart with our photographer. We recognize we would not have received that personal attention at another venue. She is wonderful.
Our friends and family have told us that our wedding was the best and most beautiful one they have ever been to; and that Keswick looked like something you see in the movies. We would do it all over again if we could and we will be going back there for our...

I am shamefully late in writing this review. Keswick Vineyards was the perfect place for our wedding back in May 2012. Barb and the team at Keswick were wonderful about making our day personal, beautiful and worry free. They worked seamlessly with my other vendors and have a fantastic routine.
Our family and friends had a wonderful time and my husband and I would absolutely recommend Keswick Vineyards to anyone looking for a lovely setting for a romantic, garden style, vineyard wedding. The owner of the mansion was so friendly during the rehearsal and wedding day...she befriended my in-laws and sent us some beautiful pictures that she took during the events...some of the most memorable!
Love Keswick and the beautiful Virginia countryside...can't wait to get back there and celebrate our anniversary!

What can I say about Keswick Vineyards?? From our initial visit to meet with the wedding coordinator until the ceremonies and reception were over, my wife and I were absolutely ecstatic with the estate. Beautiful historic home and grounds, amazing vineyards, and the setting for the reception was perfect-a very, very large, heated circus type tent with clear sides, indoor/outdoor carpet, large parquet dance floor and room to seat our 160 guests comfortably. An added bonus was the presence of Cindy Schornberg, the owner of the estate, who hung out with all of us for most of the day. What a friendly and gracious host!!! If we had more daughters, each one of them would get married here if I any say in the decision. If you are looking for a top notch and classy venue, look no further than Keswick Vineyards.

This was a beautiful venue to have our wedding! It was helpful for us to have a location that provided us with all the tables and chairs we needed, as well as the tent. That made coordinate other aspects of the wedding much more simple and stream-lined. Guests were delighted with the ambiance, the good wine, and the beautiful landscape. We are very happy with our decision, and recommend Keswick Vineyards to other brides and grooms for their special day!

Our wedding at Keswick was absolutely perfect. Nearly two months later my husband and I are still pinching ourselves because we just can’t believe how flawlessly it all played out. Our search for a wedding venue was, well, exhausting! But as soon as we visited Keswick, we immediately saw the beauty, casual elegance and incredible value. It was an easy decision from there.
The summer of our wedding was their first full wedding season, so we did live through some new venue bumps in the road along the way, but we were always grateful to Cindy and Barb for their honesty and open line of communication (side note: the “bumps” we encountered are smoothed over now!).
On the day of our wedding both Cindy and Barb were available all day to us. We did have an event coordinator, but it was so helpful to have the additional hands on venue related assistance. Barb was great about helping our grandmothers get around on their golf cart and Cindy also took us out on the golf cart with our photographer to get photos all over the vineyard during cocktail hour. She was so sweet and you could tell she genuinely loves having couples get married at their home, which made the day all the more special to us.
It was really important to us that we pick a venue that was naturally beautiful so that we didn’t have to fuss with added decor - Keswick was the perfect choice. I mean, their tent is insanely beautiful and to rent that alone at another venue would cost way more than the rental fees at Keswick. We had the ceremony outside in front of the vines with the mountains in the background - gorgeous! And there are countless photos opps - the vineyard, the house as a backdrop, the tent, the the lovely grounds with lush grass and trees, the fountain in front of the house, the pool in the back of the house, the old water tower turned carriage house...just to name a few!
A huge advantage that Keswick had to us was that we could start our ceremony as early as we wanted. At some C’ville vineyards you have to wait until the tasting room closes, so your reception time is limited, but because we wanted a longer (six hour) reception, Keswick was perfect! Music needed to stop at 11pm, but we had our ceremony at 4pm so there was plenty of time for a leisurely cocktail hour, dinner and LOTS of time for dancing! It was so wonderful to not have to rush through our reception just to fit things in. I’ve had so many friends tell me they don’t remember entire parts of their wedding, but because we had the luxury of time, we were able to savor every moment!
If you’re looking for an elegant, yet natural vineyard setting for your wedding, Keswick is hands down your best bet.
PS - Random tip for out of town brides planning a wedding at Keswick: there is an amazing weekend rental option just ten minutes away - rent it for your family or wedding party! Its close proximity to Keswick made our wedding weekend all the more enjoyable because had an easy place to go for a post-reception after party and also for our rehearsal dinner. It worked perfectly!

Keswick Vineyards is the most fantastical place for a wedding! My guests were constantly awed by the surrounding beauty of the venue. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect backdrop to my perfect day!

Keswick Vineyards made for the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. And their wines are fantastic! We could not have picked a more perfect place!

We had our wedding at Keswick Vineyards in May of 2011. Keswick is a beautiful venue for an outdoor wedding. The grounds and the Sperry tent are gorgeous, not to mention that after dinner, the sun sets in the background over the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Everything about the setting at Keswick Vineyards is perfect, and it’s an added bonus that all the tables, chairs, and tent are included in the rental price. The owners and the event coordinator went way above and beyond for our wedding. They were very meticulous and made sure everything was perfect throughout the entire process…and it was perfect! They do not have onsite catering but we thought that was great because we were able to shop around for the best one…which is, hands down, 20 South (and Paradox Pastry for the Cake…and Jamie Reinicke for the photographer)! Our wedding guests raved about how gorgeous Keswick Vineyard was and how amazing the owners and wedding coordinator were to them. They really made all our guests feel very much relaxed and part of their family. My husband keeps saying “It’s a shame that all our guests are just going to have to settle for knowing that they attended the best wedding EVER, because they will never be able to have a better wedding than we had!” I would recommend Keswick to any bride and groom! Thank you, Keswick! It truly was the best day of our lives…so far…

My wife and I loved the venue. The tent is just amazing and the setting for our ceremony was spectacular in the setting sun. The wine must be provided by Keswick however this actually made things easier for us. They have an amazing selection of many fine wines. The Host and Hostess were very pleasant and easy to work with, It felt like they were family.

I am a native of Charlottesville who has enjoyed the beauty of our local wineries for years, so when it came time to get married I knew immediately where we would have our celebration. There’s nothing else like a vineyard wedding…to be outside in the Virginia countryside is the best! In fact, we chose Keswick Vineyards because it would be entirely outside. A tented reception was just what we wanted and we found the most beautiful Sperry Tent in a fairytale setting at Keswick Vineyards. The entire experience was perfect! Even when I encountered a “bump in the road” (as all brides do) the team at Keswick Vineyards was right there to smooth things out and as a result my wedding was a dream come true. Our family and friends still talk about what a wonderful venue KV is for a wedding. I’m so glad we chose this special place in the midst of gorgeous farmland with the mountains surrounding us…I highly recommend it to all future brides!

It's hard to believe that just 365 days ago my wife and I shared the happiest day of our lives at the beautiful Keswick Vineyards. We were the first couple to host our wedding there that was not related to the proprietors Al & Cindy Schornberg. As such, it was a new experience for all involved. Thankfully, everyone made it through with flying colors.
Stephen Barnard, the winemaker, first welcomed us with open arms, and throughout the process helped guide us along. Stephen was our main point-of-contact until Keswick hired an events planner several months into our planning. During these months Stephen graciously provided his time and personal experience (he and his wife were married at Keswick the year prior). He helped us pair their wines with the caterer's food. On the day of, Stephen also played chauffeur, driving the wedding party around the vineyard for photos.
Just a few weeks before our big day Barbara Lundgren joined the Keswick team. She provided a steady, if somewhat heavy, hand to ensure that the entire wedding process ran smoothly. Barbara also brought and applied her wealth of knowledge about keeping day-of disasters at bay; her work ensured that our day could not have gone any better.
Cindy Schornberg provided a surprise service for us by working as a parking attendant for our arriving guests. Many of them were shocked when we told them they had already met one of the owners.
We decided to have our wedding at Keswick when we visited in January. Even with snow on the ground and leave-less vines, the beauty of the vineyard won our hearts. It was ten-times as spectacular eight months later with everything in bloom.
Another advantage we saw in Keswick was the ability to personalize the entire experience. We could choose any
caterer. We could sell back unopened bottles of wine. There we no prior decorations in the Sperry tent to plan around; it was a blank slate for our stylistic prerogative.
To this day we still brag about how wonderful our wedding at Keswick Vineyards was. ~Chris & Laura

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Keswick Vineyards and it was absolutely perfect! We have received so many compliments from our guests on how it was the most beautiful wedding they have attended. The ceremony was right outside in the vineyard with the blue ridge mountains in the background and the reception was held under a gorgeous sperry tent next to the historic mansion. In addition to the natural beauty of the setting, we also really appreciated how helpful the staff and owners were. They made everything as stress-free as possible and the whole day went smoothly and without any problems at all. The fact that you have the venue for the entire day meant we were never rushed and having all the rentals included is a great value (both in terms of budget and in having less things to coordinate!).
Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this venue if you are looking for a beautiful vineyard setting, a good value, and a friendly and helpful staff that sincerely cares about making your day perfect & worry free!
What an amazing venue for a wedding! I have performed there many times and the in-house sound systems are just right for a wedding ceremony and reception. The Schornbergs have the perfect set up for a wedding or any type of event, and the staff is always a pleasure to work with.
Gorgeous venue and wonderful staff. One of our favorite venues to perform. Highly recommended!
The location is gorgeous, the amenities for a bridal party are top-notch, and Cindi & Al (owners) are two of the nicest people I've worked with.
Wonderful location to get married at in VA Wine Country. Cindy and Al Schornberg run this family owned business. Cindy will be at the Vineyard to welcome you and make sure you all have a perfect wedding.
Beautiful venue...can't wait to get to do another wedding cake at this location!
One of the most stunning venues in Albemarle County! The tent is gorgeous, the views are amazing, and Barb makes planning an event there a joy.
Keswick Vineyard is one of my favorite places to photograph weddings. Not only is the estate and vineyard absolutely BEAUTIFUL, but the staff and owners are always so helpful and professional! Highly recommend for any event!!
I went to visit Keswick Vineyards on a Sunday with my niece (who is looking for a wedding venue) and what a gorgeous place it is...even though we didn't have an appointment...everyone was warm and welcoming for us to look around.
Keswick is one of our favorite venues in Charlottesville! We would highly recommend Keswick Vineyards for their superb wine, beautiful location, and friendly staff!
