Kevin's professionalism, creativity, calmness and ease to work with were exceptional. During the wedding day, it felt like he was not there, that is how good he was. At times for family photos, for example, however, he was very clear with directions and was very good at letting people know what was best without being "bossy" and overbearing. He was also great with kids. The outcome was beautiful posed shots of us the couple, family, the bridal party, etc. as well as candid shots throughout, both in color and black and white, with an amazing frame for the latter. They all looked natural and captured the moment perfectly. No awkwardness whatsover. We love looking at the pictures over and over again. Kevin has outdone himself and we would recommend him with no hesitation. Sure, he is not cheap but when it comes to unforgettable memories of your wedding, it is all worth it.

Absolutely 5 stars! Kevin is one of the best photographers around hands down. He was able to get so many creative shots on our wedding day, we were so happy. We also loved the museum album that we got from him. It's very classy and elegant and a wonderful way to remember your day.

On the day of, Kevin was very professional and relaxed. This might be personal preference, but I thought his personality really fit well with mine and my DH's. He was able to get us to relax and take great photos. He took a beautiful shot of us on the steps to our church. The angle he took it at accentuated my long train and the lighting on us was perfect. We liked that photo so much we got it blown up and framed and it hangs in our study now =D.

Amongst the photographers in the Bay Area beyond, Kevin has the most consistent reputation for quality, vision, creative eye, and craftsmanship. Still doing film while others are moving toward digital photography, he is a master of photography...simply unmatched. What makes him unique is his cool demeanor....amazing taste level...from the moment I walked into his studio, I knew he was the ONE! And you will know...His studio is in SOMA....and it's filled with beautiful Black and White photography including really beautiful baby portraits as well as some travel work. I especially loved meeting his cute white Bichon, Chin Chin....Also, he is really well respected amongst the vendors...so many people assured me that my decision was perfect. I could not agree.

Kevin's work has stood the test of time. He remains true to his craft and a pioneer in wedding photography. His website is constantly updated with fresh new images of which his new portraits are so clever, fresh, and relevant. The best part of hiring Kevin Chin is his finished albums. They aren't those yearbook types which are here one day, gone the next. They are equally refined and well made like everything he touches. A true one of a kind.

I had first heard of the great Kevin Chin long before I began my career in the wedding industry. I recall having asked my girlfriend about her wedding planning, and she had proudly listed out all of her vendors. Her eyes lit up when she named her photographer. She admitted that she was the most excited about this particular vendor. "He is one of the best wedding photographers! He's very well-known!" she exclaimed. Years later, I would meet this photographer that my girlfriend had gushed over... After meeting Kevin Chin, going through his portfolio, and having the pleasure of working with him, I understood why my girlfriend was so excited. Kevin Chin certainly is one of the best. He is superb at his craft and is masterful with film. He is always calm, composed, and professional. He is a true gem.
