Kim Fox Photography

Photography was an important aspect of the wedding since it is one of the few things you have to look back on your big day. I blog stalked a number of LA/OC based photographers for awhile until I limited it down to just a handful. Kim was the first person we met with and as were leaving her studio, my then-fiance wanted to turn around and book her on the spot. I loved Kim from that intial meeting also, but I told him I still wanted to see what was out there. Well, fast forward through a couple more meetings and we ended up emailing her the next day asking if she would be our photographer! During the wedding day, Kim was professional and really focused the entire time. We had a very long day, hers was almost thirteen hours long and she never complained one bit. Our pictures were more beautiful than I could have imagined and we are so fortunate that she was there to capture all the important moments of our big day.

Kim Fox is the Rock Star of photographers. I guess the fact that she actually is a musician helps, but she truly rocks.

She and I have been through a series of wedding adventures together. From a rogue photographer who infiltrated a wedding and tried to sell guests the photos to a true Bridezilla to a missing caterer http://www.yelp.com/biz/... . I've encountered some of my best stories with Kim. In spite of many stressful situations, she is one of those photographers who takes everything in stride and keeps that smile on her face. She never seems daunted and just has fun.

I think it's part attitude and part talent that make her such a wonderful photographer. Her pictures are always amazing...even when she's sure they're going to be terrible. Somehow, despite any weather situation, sun in the wrong position or uncooperative bride, her photos are always artistic and fresh.

The last wedding I worked with her, I received a phone call earlier in the day. She just wanted to let me know she was 8 months pregnant and had the flu. Still, she was going to be at the wedding. Honestly, I never would have known she wasn't feeling well. She breezily bounded around the scene, snapping shots and chirping at the Bride and Groom happily. She never once complained. Kim constantly amazes me.

I whole heartedly LOVED working with Kim!! She was by far one of my favorite vendors!! Our pictures turned out AMAZING and she could not have been more unobtrusive during the ceremony/reception! She stuck to my list of must takes whipping it out frquently making sure that she was getting them all and she added a few herself that seriously were SO creative and fun!! THe thing I like most about Kim is that even though she is a seasoned photog that has done many many weddings she never makes you feel like your weddign is cookie cutter and all of her pictures do not look the same for all her weddings. Our experience with Kim Fox exceeded our highest expectations every step of the way. Kim’s portfolio speaks for itself, however we immediately liked her as a person when we met her—she was warm, friendly, outgoing, considerate, helpful and professional. We knew that this was the kind of person we wanted to work with. Kim was extremely responsive every step of the way, from coordinating a first meeting, to finalizing details of the timeline, to helping out with snafus, to getting back prints to us and getting our final book to us quickly. She has an outstanding “can-do” attitude, but also would speak up if someone’s hair was out of place, had their eyes closed, there was too much sun, etc. so that ALL of our photos turned out so well. She directed all of our family and bridal party with assertion to keep things running smoothly, but was never bossy or unfriendly. It was a real pleasure to spend our wedding day with her.
As for the work that Kim did for us, every single photo is truly a work of art. The creative genius and artistic vision that Kim has is unparalleled. We gave Kim creative freedom to do what she does best and did not want to spend more than 20 minutes doing all of the traditional, posed shots. The way that Kim captured each moment, each emotion, each detail, and of course, all of the hidden moments that we missed, truly lets us relive the day every time we see the pictures. The final album that Kim produced is absolutely EXTRAORDINARY. We could not believe the cost of these albums, but, Kim’s album is worth way more than what she charged. It is one of our most prized possessions, truly a work of art that we will proudly share with all of our future friends and family.

We absolutely loved Kim! She was so much fun to work with and our pictures are more beautiful than I could've imagined! She got through our shot list so quickly we had some time to take some fun pics before the wedding. At the reception she was just part of the party. I look at the pictures now and I had no idea she was even around for half of the pics that she got. She also did our engagement shoot, which was a ton of fun. She's an incredibly talented photographer and a genuinely amazing person. Highy, highly recommend.

The furniture was a great addition to my event. The guests loved it and I would recommend it to my future clients.

Kim was not very professional... Her work came out alright but next time i will go with a photographer with an acutal studio..

Kim did a fantastic job at my wedding. She is professional, friendly, very skilled and wonderful to work with. She knew exactly how to put me at ease, and did a wonderful job of moving through my wedding, capturing all the little details, and important moments. She has a fantastic eye, and a great style. I highly recommend her.
