When my husband and I began our search for a wedding officiant, we weren't sure what to expect because we didn't have anybody to approach that we had a personal relationship with. In searching for an officiant in the Sonoma County area, we came across A Beautiful Ceremony Napa Valley's website. From my first contact with Kimberly Thompson, I felt like I was talking to a long time friend, and my husband felt as immediately comfortable with her when we met over a Skype session.

I can only say that I have been waiting months to write this review. I have nothing but great things to say about Kimberly Thompson of A Beautiful Ceremony. Kim is not only a great minister and officiant but an absolute pleasure to work with. Once you hire Kim to peform your ceremony you can rest assured that you will have both an meaningful and beautiful ceremony, as well as a someone who will manage that ceremony from start to finish.

We hired Kim to perform our wedding after an extensive search. Our budget was very tight, so after our initial conversation, I regretted that we wouldn't be able to have her peform the ceremony. However Kim is so great. She worked within our budget and I am so happy that she did. We actually recieved a lower quote afterwards, but I knew that Kim was who I trusted to peform our ceremony.

Kim is a great communicator and email and calls from time to time to check up on you and make sure that things are going okay. She has an extensive portofolio beatifully written work. She will work with you to help make your ceremony unique and meaningful. Kim goes through each draft of the ceremony, double checking all the details so that on your wedding day your ceremony will be perfect. She even meets with you at the county clerk to make sure that all your paperwork is completed and correct!

On the day of our ceremony Kim did an amazing job performing our ceremony. As always she was professional and pleasant. After our ceremony many of our guests commented on how nice it was and how much they enjoyed it.

There is one simple anecdote that sums up the dedication and love that Kimberly has for her couples. The night before we were going to meet her she went out on a industry mixer at a new local restaurant. Hours later she was feeling ill - she had food poisoning. Despite feeling awful - and not looking her best - she refused to cancel on us. She was even early for our appointment the following morning. Kimberly was her usual warm, outgoing self. She made the process of obtaining our marriage license pain free. In fact every interaction we had with her was delightful.

One additional factor that makes our experience unique is that we had to plan our event from thousands of miles away in Michigan. And also due to budget constraints we were never able to visit with our vendors in person. However, from the first time we spoke with Kimberly we knew we had found the perfect officiant. She quickly understood our vision and helped us to tailor the ceremony to fit our specific needs. Her response time to e-mail was incredibly quick and efficient. She was always professional and organized.

We are both in the hospitality industry. David is an executive chef at a luxury hotel and Christina is a social catering manager at a boutique hotel. David cooks for dozens of weddings throughout the year, while Christina plans them. Due to our background, our stanadards for hospitality are extremely high. My wife and I really cannot recommend Kimberly highly enough. From the initial point of contact Kimberly provided us with all the reassurance we needed that we had found the right officiant for our ceremony. Kimberley was able to provide us with a plentiful supply of text with suggestions and useful guidelines for the preparation of our vows.

On the morning of our wedding Kimberly took time out to meet us at the county court office where we applied for our marriage license. The officiant provided gets all those stars. The cake and food were great too! Also the coordinator was excellent. The photographer and florist, however, do not come recommended AT ALL, find someone else. Over half of my pictures are OUT OF FOCUS, and the florist not only didnt want me picking the flowers for my bouquet, but I specifically told her to give my fiance a white boutonniere, and she gave him HOT PINK!!

After my first telephone call with her, I knew that she was the perfect person to make our marriage official. Perhaps what impressed me most about Kimberly was her genuine interest in us. I come from a South Asian family. My name is long and difficult to pronounce. Most people try to pronounce my name and invariably butcher it. Don't get me wrong, Kimberly butchered it too on her first try :) However, she was absolutely dogged about getting my name correct by the time of the ceremony. Her persistence led her to ask me to leave a message on her phone with me repeating my name. She would listen to this message over and over again to perfect the pronounciation. Who does this? Kimberly Thompson does this because she's a professional. I'm happy to say that on the day of our wedding, she prounced my name perfectly!
