Reviews for King's Hawaiian
Oh this place is so yummy!!! Their Paradise Cheesecake is so good - it's got (I think) lime, guava and mango flavors. Everytime I go here, I have to stop at the bakery to buy something, anything. It's so delicious, but always crowded. Yet I still come back for more.
My dad loves the King's Hawaiian Bread, so as a treat I ordered his birthday cake from this bakery. My whole family loved it. We ordered the Hawaiian Paradise cake and it was light, fluffy and yummy! Highly recommend this bakery!!!
This is my favorite place for cakes of ALL occasions. Their prices for wedding cakes are unbeatable!
We ordered the Paradise cake with fresh strawberries for the wedding and it was delicious!! My only problem was that the design of the cake wasn't quite like the picture I had given them. The color of the cake design and the design itself was a little off, which was disappointing. But, in the end, everyone enjoyed the cake, which is the most important part.
I wanted a fairly simple cake and I didn't want to spend alot. I got a quote from Rossmoor Pastries for about $900.00 for 200 people. I read about King's Hawaiian and we decided to check it out.
They gave us a pricing sheet, some cake and let us do our own thing. I loved that they weren't there pressuring us to buy. The cake was really tasty and the prices were even better. We ended up with a simple four tier cake with black ribbon for about $475.00, delivery included. It got to the venue on time and it looked and tasted great.
Loved the cake! Paradise cake is my favorite cake ever... Got many compliments on the decoration as well as the taste.. super affordable.. They dropped it off at the reception location..the black frosting started to melt onto the pink... they came back and had the whole cake refrosted before I arrived to the reception.
We used King's Hawaiian for our engagement party and the cake was amazing. However, Porto Bakery in Glendale beat them so we went with them as our wedding cake. King's Hawaiian is still good.
one thing we knew we HAD to have at our wedding was their paradise cake... our guests raved about the cake and it was beautiful. A+
Their most popular favor is the Hawaiian Paradise Cake! Yummy!
Our wedding cake was gorgeous and tasted wonderful. We ordered a orange chiffon cake with peach filling. The cake is light and not too sweet. The frosting is non-dairy and pleasant tasting. Our decorations were yellow hibiscus flowers along the side of the cake. The price included the sugar flowers. We got a 3 tiered cake and a sheet cake to feed our 250 guests. The price was around $400. Very affordable for such a nice cake.
I did a lot of cake tastings...I love cake!
I went to Torrance Bakery, Great Dane, Rossmoor, For the Love of Sugar, and Mayers. All of them were disappointing, I must say. I thought I was really going to be blown away by the cake tasting experience, but I was underwhelmed. It was a lot of cake, but it was all mediocre at best... it’s like the dessert section of an all-you-can-eat restaurant...they look good, but taste crappy.
I went with Kings Hawaiian Paradise cake, as it was the best (by far) out of all I tasted. There was a snafu with the delivery - I specified black ribbon and it got delivered with yellow ribbon. Luckily, one of my friends caught it, called them, and they were able to fix it right before the reception started...
They are pretty easy to work with, and very affordable! Despite the problem with the ribbon, I'd recommend them. Why pay more for subpar cake?
I've tried so many awful wedding cakes in the past (I'm looking at you, Torrance Bakery) that I didn't want to mess around for my own wedding. That's why we decided to order King's Hawaiian Paradise and Chocolate Dubosh cakes and everybody loved it! The prices are beyond reasonable too. We went with a sakura blossom decoration, which looked very pretty and delicate.
This is the yummiest wedding cake I've ever tasted!
Delivered the wrong cake to a wedding. Although they acknowledged it, the manager, Adam wasn't very professional about it. We confirmed the dimensions and delivery several times that week...and still the wrong cake!
