Kingsized played at my wedding on Jekyll Island and they were fantastic! We also had two of the Dames A Flame dancers perform which was the highlight of the party. They were so fun and nice about taking pictures with all of our guests. The band also was happy to learn our First Dance song for us as well. Would highly recommend them- Kingsized makes for a great party!

Kingsized got the guests at my reception up and dancing! They were such a fun band to have, and I really liked their willingness to learn new songs. Fun, fun, fun!

We had some extra money left over from our budget, and so we decided to get some live music!They were very professional and sounded great. We were very please overall with them.Attention to detail was great; nice to work !

We didn't want the typical run of the mill cheesy cover band for our wedding, so we were very excited to come across Kingsized. The lead singer, Big Mike, is full of energy, and they kept the dance floor packed all night long. Everyone from 20 to 60 seemed to enjoy the music. We'd hire them again in an instant.

Our perspective is a little skewed as we are Kingsized fans and were long prior to the wedding, but it was well worth the advanced planning to book these guys. Get started at least a year in advance if you want them, but they're worth the effort. Big Mike and the gang know how to pull off an event and make the entire crowd feel at home. They learned three songs just for our event and used the song from the father-daughter dance to close their recent Elvis Memorial Show down in Little Five along with a little Styx. They made the night of the wedding memorable beyond belief, but hearing Joe Cocker's "With A Little Help From My Friends" in a public venue/concert just sealed the deal in my mind. Nothing beats your own private Kingsized concert.

We are soooooooo happy with this band. They learned the songs we requested, they played all the songs we had asked to be played in the timeblocks we requested and played additional songs that were fitting around the ones we had selected. The got the crowd involved while not becoming a main act. I didnt want a band that would insert our names into things or do costume changes or essentially become a floor show. And these guys were perfect for what we wanted. All the guests age 25 90 complimented us on the band and the music. Not sure how you get that age range to agree, but Kingsized does! I was a little disappointed when they started breaking down the stage and instuments during our last set that was being played by the DJ. I am not sure if my coordinator told them that I had specifically requested this not occur, but you would think you would not do this while the party is still going if we had paid for the whole night. But honestly, this was just one tiny blip on a perfect evening.

Kingsized has performed hundreds of weddings and corporate events. The Kingsized Entertainment staff works directly with brides and event planners to incorporate the band’s performance into the event timeline and customize the set list to include special requests.

While Kingsized typically performs as a big band with horn section to cover a variety of material from Swing to Soul to Rock ‘n Roll, the band is also available as a smaller combo for more intimate settings. We can customize our services to fit your needs and budget.

Big Mike Geier is the Kingsized bandleader and vocalist who doubles as emcee for the evening, introducing the wedding party and making special announcements. Big Mike is expert at getting every generation on the dance floor. From age four to 104, your guests will be thoroughly entertained. We also provide DJ services. And if you’re looking for something a little different for your special day, we can bring along the Dames Aflame Dancers.

What is your band's usual attire?

Suit, tie, pocket square, dress shoes for all musicians

Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?

We can invite prospective wedding clients to hear the band at an upcoming wedding, upon approval by the bride and groom, or at one of our public performances in town. Our performances are listed on our website's calendar page www.kingsized.biz

Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?

Typically yes, if they fit or can fit into our style of music. For weddings we almost always can learn a new song for first dance or other special dance.

How much time do you usually need for setup?

2 hour minimum to load in, set up and sound check.

How much space do you usually require?

For the big band (8 piece) we request a 36 x 18 stage area, for a smaller configuration of the band we request a 24 x 12 stage area. We do not have to play on stage risers, either, playing on the floor is common. We are familiar with many wedding venues in the Atlanta metro area, and can work within the confines of almost any venue.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?

We can make arrangements to bring any special equipment upon request

Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?

Our bandleader, Big Mike Geier, is an excellent showman and emcee. We are often hired because of his skill behind the mic, whether singing or acting as bandleader and emcee

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

We typically request that a meal be provided for the band members, which they would eat either before they play or during a break. This is a negotiable point listed on our performance rider. If a meal can not be made available to the band, we will make our own arrangements.

Do you play recorded music during your break?

Yes, we play recorded music via ipod through the PA system

What is your overtime rate?

Additional sets are handled on a case by case basis

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?

Travel and Lodging expenses are handled on a case by case basis. Any performance 3 hours or more from the Atlanta Metro area will usually require an overnight stay, in most cases.
