Reviews for Kleinfeld Bridal
AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL SERVICE!!!
the sales rep. that was working with me was not qulified for the job, eventhough she has been doing this for quite a while.
I mentioned to her that I do not want laces, and guess what she brought up all the dresses w/ lacing on.
Anyhow, at least I had went through the website and had 2 fav. dresses, but when she brought those out, they weren't as good as I dreamed of, the quality of the dresses were not good.
oh! if you go there as the last appointment make sure you are done before 8pm, cause the sales rep. doesn't care if you are done or made up your mind or comfortable to leave without a fav. dress of all, she simply told me that the store is closing and I should better make up my mind!
what?
come on... you are supposed help me here...
anyway, I had an AWFUL EXPERIENCE there...
I wore a Jim Hjelm couture. I had a great experience at the Kleinfeld sample sale. I was able to bring my sister, BIL, niece and nephew and best friend. They even set up my BIL with the kids in the dressing room next to me so they could play. My saleswoman was extremely helpful and not pushy at all. I literally tried on up to 15 dresses. They knocked a few hundred off the already low price and I left with it the same day. Great selection and great service.
Ever since "Say Yes to the Dress" came on the air, I knew that I wanted to go there for the PERFECT wedding dress! Although they can be pricey, they listen to your needs and will work with any budget. I got an amazing deal and my gown, (as are the rest of their gowns) are like NOTHING else that you will EVER find anywhere else! David's bridal just can't compare to the intricate detail that you will find on each of the gowns that Kleinfeld Bridal Offers! It was an amazing experience! I found my dress on the first day! Even if you're not sure if they're in your price range, I tell EVERYONE I know just to make an appointment and just go try dresses on, you will NOT be disapointed!
I was very happy with my salesperson Vicki Conti… she let me look through the dresses and choose a bunch to try on. She also brought some that she had selected. In the end I wound up choosing my Amsale which I had seen in a magazine ad and had fallen in love with. My dress came in on time and when it was time for fitting I worked with Maria Molinaro. She was excellent and a pleasure to work with. When I bought my dress they were in Brooklyn and when I went for fittings they had moved to the city. I had no problems whatsoever.
Only go here if you want to blow 5K! There were a few decent dresses around 3K (and actually some nice ones in the back for 1K), but they really push you to the higher priced items. If you want to get a designer dress, they have the largest selection anywhere. I was brought the ugliest dresses, until they reached the 5K mark. Also, I felt the sales person was really high pressure sales, and I didn't feel like it was the royal service you should receive when you are spending thousands of dollars.
I made an appointment to Kleinfeld relatively soon after I got engaged. They were having an Amsale trunk show so I figured, why not go? I didn’t have any intention of buying anything—it was my first shot at gown shopping. I went armed with tons of ads and pictures of gowns I loved and met my salesperson, Audrey. If you go to Kleinfeld, you MUST request Audrey—she was fantastic and has a great eye! I showed her what I liked, she brought in some gowns and I didn’t like any of them… they just weren’t “me.” We went into the showroom so I could look at the gowns and she pulled a very simple Amsale gown… I thought she was crazy… it was so plain, it was strapless… nothing like the gowns I had in my pictures. She brought into the dressing room, told me to try it on for the hell of it. It was the 7th and final gown I tried on. I knew it was the one. When I came out of the room, I could tell that my mom, aunt and bridesmaid, Jenny, knew too. Then, Audrey came with the ribbon-edge veil that matched the gown perfectly and it just sealed the deal. I couldn’t have been happier with my purchase… and I was under budget!
My alterations went great. My seamstress was Anna and she lovely to work with. She made my gown fit perfectly and I felt gorgeous on my wedding day.
I am giving Kleinfeld an 4 because while they have a phenomenal selection of gowns, a more realistic starting price is $3000, not the $1500 they tell you over the phone. Also, while I loved Audrey, the rest of their customer service is a bit lacking, but don’t let that deter you from going there if your budget allows.
AMAZING!!! I WANT TO WEAR MY JIM HELM EVERY DAY! top notch service expertise and the dress fit my every curve. LOVE LOVE LOVE
As I walked into Kleinfeld (the 12th dress store I went to while looking for a wedding dress), my first thought was "wow... i will probably not be able to afford anything!" After talking with my consultant... she brought me a dress and as I put it on... I automatically knew it was "the one." It was my style and most importantly my budget. Kleinfeld, however, gave me more than finding my wedding dress. Before my dress arrived, my grandmother became very ill and I knew she would not make it to my wedding. Kleinfeld pressed and packed the sample dress and provided a driver to take me to my grandma (in the hospital) so I can try on the dress and show her what it was going to look like before she passed away. They treated me like family and for this I will forever be grateful to Kleinfeld!!!
I loved Kleinfeld. I bought my dress at a sample sale using my coupon and they never treated me any differently than anyone paying full price. My saleswoman was so helpful in helping me figure out what looked good on me and I found the perfect dress the first time I went shopping!
Ehhh, it's a wedding factory type of store, they treat you great during the sales process, knowledgeable sales people, great selection (of course they entice you to go above your price). Once you get the dress, it takes forever to come in (which is normal), but the customer service dramatically drops down after you buy the dress.
Is there really any other place to get a wedding dress ladies?
The service and selection is unbeatable. Prices are high, but not unusually so for a couture shop. I went during my designer’s trunk show, and I got to meet her. The tailoring, although very expensive, was wonderful. Every girl there was a joy to work with.
I purchased my wedding dress (a gorgeous Pnina Tornai strapless dress with corset back), veil (simple two layer with silk edge) and headpiece (Garcia) at Kleinfeld in NYC in November of 2006 for my September 2007 wedding.
I went to Kleinfeld with my mom, sister and niece "just to look". I didn't even bring my wallet b/c I didn't want to buy anything that day. I worked with Samantha, who was great!!! She asked what I was looking for (I told her no strapless, nothing too frou frou or bride-y). I tried on about 5-6 dresses, all very straight and with straps. I wasn't crazy about any of them... Then Samantha came back in with THE DRESS! A big, poufy bride-y dress that was strapless and I LOVED IT! I felt like a bride and my Mom cried :) Oh and I had to call my husband to get his credit card info but he didn't answer so I just went back the next day to order it.
My seamstress was Maria (the tiny blonde Polish Maria, there are a bunch of Marias) and she was so sweet and patient. I had 4 fittings total and everything was perfect when I picked the dress up two days before the wedding.
I also purchased my veil and headpiece at Kleinfeld. I didn't intend to buy them there, but I felt pressured to by my mother-in-law and the manger (who just "happened" to stop by when I was debating). But I was very happy overall and highly recommend Kleinfeld to brides...if not to buy then just for the experience.
I ended up getting my second dress for my reception here and was very happy with the quality and the service.
Overall, I was very happy with Kleinfeld's. Their selection is unparalelled - I tried on many dresses at different boutiques and found them all here, so I could try them all on together and compare. My purchase was also hassle-free: I had a discount that I had forgotten to mention when I bought the dress and I called later and they took $500 off my bill without me even having to show them the coupon, no questions asked. The drawbacks: the sales associates can be pushy and the wait for fitting appointments are lengthy. But my dress was delivered early and I was very happy with the result, so I would definitely recommend purchasing a dress here.
Terrible experience. During a very special time in my life that should have been full of joy and excitement, I found myself burdened with the stress and anxiety of a missing wedding gown and a multitude of other problems that were the direct result of carelessness and ineptitude on the part of your staff. Even as I draft this letter, I am still awaiting the replacement of a set of earrings (they arrived broken), which I returned to your store over two months ago with confirmed receipt by “Michelle”. I wish that Customer Service could be of assistance, but I have never in the many times I’ve called and emailed, received a response. When the most distressing event occurred – the “misplacement” of my wedding gown a mere day before my intended departure for my nuptials, I have even emailed your own respective email addresses that are posted on the Kleinfeld website and no one replied.
They were fantastic. I loved my dress and the fitting were great. The dress ended up being a teeny big and fell down when I danced a bit, but I never would have known that during my fittings because it fit like a glove then. Guess I dance a little too hard!!
We went to Kleinfelds only because we had heard so much about it, some good and some so so. They were having a sale and a trunk show for Amsale. When we walked in we were greeted at the front desk by a wonderful lady. She showed us to the floor and a wonderful little Italian woman, whose name escapes me, helped us. She was wonderful to say the least. She even asked us if this was the first dress my daughter had tried on, to which we replied, and she said she needs to try on more, go make your other appts. and if it is meant to be it will be here. Well we went to two other shops and everything else paled in comparison to the Amsale dress and the help we received at Kleinfeld Bridal. I am a professional photographer and I now recommend them to every bride we see. No one can compare to their selection and help. You can be my other daughter will go there first!
WHat can I say other than this is the one and only Kleinfeld. The place people travel to from all over the world go shop for a bridal gown. My experience with Kleinfeld was wonderful. I was able to meet the designer herself (Pnina Tornei)while shopping for my dress. My bridal attendant was very savy and new what I would look good in. My bridal dress was the 2nd dress I tried on and it was a huge success. This is definitely the place to shop. Don't be fooled by impostor salons!
This is where I got my wedding gown. They had a marvelous selection of dresses and the associates were wonderful. My only complaint is that I often had to wait about 20 minutes even though I had an appointment. This is unacceptable when paying a premium for the dresses.
great experience, fantastic selection. while expensive, worthwhile one stop shopping and you know you are dealing with pros.
I had started my wedding dress search at Kleinfeld's just because I had heard so much about it and the huge selection that they have. The first time I went I brought a few of my friends with me and ended up finding the dress of my dreams. However, the sales person I had was absolutely awful. First of all she asked me my budget I told her $5000, the first dress she brought back within minutes was first of all hideous (nothing like what I described to her) and second of all $6000. Then she brought a few more back and it was clear she hadn't listened to a word I said, so she allowed me to go in the back and look at gowns. I picked out a few and then a few from the Augusta Jones trunk show. I tried on 2/3 before i found one i really liked. Then i kept going and found the gown from the show that I loved. She could tell that I loved it and she started pushing like you wouldn't believe. But due to the fact that we could not get the store camera to work and my mom couldn't see it via computer I had to pass. Although first she gave me speech after speech how I wouldn't be able to find it again, especially at this price (2500) etc etc. But luckily, one of my friends I had with me was in fashion and said you will have no problem finding this dress whether while its in a different location or when its available for good in stores. So we left.... I ended up buying the gown at an amazing boutique called Exquisite Bride in Princeton, NJ for 1800 which included everything including alterations!!!
Then I came back for a sample sale which had about 30 hideous gowns on sale total. This time I had Camille who was very nice, but also rushed me quiet a bit since she understood I was not buying because my mom wasn't there. Then, my mom and sister came to NY and we went back to Kleinfeld's and again saw Camille. Although she was very nice and patient, I still felt she was pushing a lot and I was just not ready to settle on this gown because it was a bit too yellow first of all and secondly they wanted a flat fee of $600 for alterations!
All in all I felt that Kleinfeld's does give you a very neat experience IF you are going to assure then from moment #1 that you will buy. As portrayed in their TV show they are all about they sale. They are very impersonal and to them you are just another bride. I would not recommend Kleinfeld's, because they are extremely overpriced and very overrated.
Rude and demanding, it gave the feeling of a factory line for brides. The salespeople at Bergdorf Goodman were far more accommodating, kind, and made one feel fabulous from the day I looked at dresses, to the fittings and when I picked up the gown.
Would you prefer to be valued or would you like to feel as if a favor has been bestowed upon you for simply letting you in the door? I went the former route and never regretted it, especially not when I was sipping champagne at Bergdorf's and being attended on like a princess.
worst experience ever. The sales girl was extremely rude did not even assist me in picking out my gown i felt like a lost soul walking around the store. the stores location is perfect, the receptionist is nice but thats where it stops, my sales girl did not assist me with putting on my gown she was rude when i sad i didnt like it, after the 4th gown she started rolling her eyes and making rude coming, after rushing me out she told me to try a different place. Which is exactly what i did. I went there because of the good reviews that was posted online and also because of the amount of gowns they had but was really disappointed with the service. I ended up finding my perfect gown at monicas bridal in brooklyn, if you have the time i suggest you check it out. Good luck girls! and congrats.
If you ever have a chance to buy your dress in NY go to Kleinfeld. They were awesome from start to finish.
I never thought I would get my dress here, but the service was so good and attentive that I decided to go with a Kleinfeld gown. It was not just the gown, it was the service and all the "extra" attention to detail they provide for their brides... def worth it.
We have worked closely with Kleinfeld's over the past 7 years on various runway shows, bridal expos and in store events. I have found their staff to be informative, intelligent and courteous. I have not only had the oppurtunity to work with them, I have had the priviledge of seeing their work on my beautiful wife in October of 2007.
Kleinfeld Bridal is modern in style and classic in elegance...
