Kohl Mansion

Had our wedding at the Kohl about two months ago and were impressed by the venue and the staff the entire time. While emails were sometimes short I never felt like the staff was unprofessional or unhelpful. Especially as we got closer to the day of the event they went out of their way to help us with other vendors.

Of course on top of great staff you get the amazing venue itself, unlike a lot of other city venues it has its own parking, plenty of space, lots of different rooms and what we were really looking for a place for an outdoor ceremony (with a room in case it rained) and a beautiful indoor reception.

It is pricey, but I am glad that we went a little over budget on this part of the wedding, it was definitely worth it.

I loved the airy feel of the mansion. The grounds are very well kept and there are tons of places for the guests to explore. The ceremony can be held indoors next to a grand floor-to-ceiling windowsill looking over the grounds, or outside on the grass court amongst the trees. The dance floor and cake display are separate from the main dining hall.

The neighborhood is very posh and feels very high class. The mansion is an all-girls catholic private school during the week. And for all you dog lovers out there, yes dogs are allowed! =)

I love how the place feels so private and intimate. I wanted to have my wedding here, but it comes with a very hefty price tag! They also only allow you to work with vendors on their preferred list.

Kohl Mansion is amazing. It has a very peaceful and quite mood.
The ceremony can be held indoors and also outdoors.
It's a little bit pricy, but I'm sure it worth it.

Kohl mansion is a beautiful place with a spectacular area for an outdoor ceremony. While the location is beautiful, it does come at a price but at least the money goes to the private school there. The coordinators are not the most responsive and not really the best at communication. I emailed them for an inquiry and asked her to email me her price list, and got a very curt response from Terri. So I emailed Diane instead who was much nicer and mailed me some beautiful pamphlets of the mansion. I asked to visit during the weekend but Diane unfortunately was not available and said that Terri would meet with me instead. FI, his mom, and I went to Kohl Mansion and thought is was very lovely. We wandered around for awhile and finally had to flag someone down and ask if we could meet with someone. The person, confused, went to find someone who eventually came down, was very nice and gave us a 5 minute tour, and then left us by ourselves. I guess she forgot we were coming or were too busy to talk to us? Anyway, I think the setting is absolutely gorgeous and would have given it 5 stars, but I guess don't expect to get a lot attention from the coordinators there.

The Kohl Mansions is a great place, I wanted to have my wedding here but I was turned off by the snotty ness of the people. It's very trendy and upper class, which is also how these people act when you call about having your wedding here.
