I absolutely LOVED working with Kristen. She is so nice, funny, and overall great to work with. My husband and I first met Kristen at her office in Warrenton. We were immediately impressed by her work and loved her personality. Our engagement session happened to be on one of the hottest days in June, but our pictures turned out beautifully. You couldn’t even tell we were sweating like crazy! Kristen is also super flexible. She adjusted a few things within our wedding package and even stayed a bit longer to capture our late night snack at the reception. 5 days after the wedding she posted a few pictures on her blog to hold us over until after our honeymoon. The few pictures she posted are absolutely stunning! I can’t wait to see the rest! I would highly recommend Kristen for your wedding. Her work is amazing and she really makes you feel comfortable while being photographed. Kristen, it was just "awesome" working with you! ;)

The photography for the wedding was very important to us. We met with several photographers, but when we met with Kristen, we fell in love with her photography style and her great personality.

At the wedding, Kristen did a great job of helping us feel relaxed and comfortable. This really comes across in the photographs. We look natural with genuine smiles. Kristen and her assistant also did a great job helping us move quickly and seamlessly through all the (sometimes stressful) family and group photos. They made sure everyone knew where to be and moved everyone through quickly without feeling rushed.

John and I really enjoyed (even though we thought it might be awkward) the time after the ceremony when it was just the two of us walking with the photographers. It was a great chance for him and I to debrief and have a moment together away from all our guests. We also were so happy that we did a first look (even though I had been initially opposed to it). Kristen did a wonderful job capturing the moment while making us feel like we were the only people in the room. The photographs really capture the overwhelming emotion and happiness.

All night Kristen and her assistant did a great job of always being nearby and close enough to capture each special moment without being intrusive or in the way. They were there to capture my adorable nephew and niece dancing or if guests wanted group shots, but we never felt like they were in the way.

We absolutely loved working with Kristen and whenever we decide to start a family, we will definitely call on Kristen's photography...

My fiance and I had the pleasure of working with Kristen Gardner over the past year and a half. I originally met Kristen when she photographed another wedding that I was in, and loved her easy going, friendly and flexible style. After attending this wedding and looking at photos on her amazing wedding blog (which you must visit), my fiance and I contacted Kristen about our own wedding. From the beginning, Kristen was attentive and flexible. We first worked with her when she did our engagement photos about 7 months before the wedding. She made us feel at ease and we loved the photos when we received them. We also received a few unexpected lovely surprises from Kristen during the months leading up to our wedding, including a super cute save-the-date cookie and a "relaxing night in" package that came with a movie and some treats. We were so impressed with Kristen's thoughtfulness and special touches. Prior to the wedding, Kristen asked us to provide her with a list of family photos that we wanted to make sure to get. With the help of the other photographer that Kristen brought to the event, they made sure to capture each and every one. In addition, Kristen has a great way of photographing other special things like the rings, shoes, etc. Also, Kristen was very flexible regarding her packages. She included an extra hour in our package and let us know that we could always add on the album afterwards. About a week after our wedding, Kristen had some of the images up on her blog and we love them. We can't wait to see the rest!

Kristen Gardner is AMAZING! I never knew my wedding could look so beautiful, and her brilliant eye had a lot to do with it. I still look back on my wedding photos on a regular basis and think how happy I am that I chose KG as my photographer, because I will never get tired of looking at the pics!

Qualities that make Kristen awesome: she is incredibly sweet (sent us a pre-wedding "date night" package that was pretty much the nicest thing ever), she is so easy to get along with, she is responsive, she feels like one of your old friends is just at the wedding and happens to be taking pictures, and most of all, she is so talented.

I would recommend her to anyone I know getting married, and plan on doing that with each of my friends just so I can hang out with her again! :)

When you work with someone over more than a year; planning, meeting, and discussing, you not only get to know that person as your photographer, but you also get to know them as a person. Kristen Gardner is not only an amazing and skilled photographer, but such an amazing person! She was so wonderful over the past year +, answering my emails and questions, and meeting with us whenever we needed it. She put such a personal and caring touch to everything she did for us.

I have been following Kristen’s work for more than 2 years now, which started well before I even got engaged. I knew her photojournalist style of shooting was exactly what I wanted, but her natural ability to capture the most amazing moments that you didn’t even know existed, blew me away. She was so wonderful to work with and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Kristen Gardner, the person and the photographer.

Kristen did a fantastic job at the wedding taking our photos. Emily, myself, and our family loved how she handled taking photos of the family. She was relaxed, calm, gave clear instructions, and captured all of our to-do items. I have heard of some photographers getting upset with people not being around for photos but she would change around what to capture while waiting for all parties to be around. Also she didn't mind other family members crowding her taking the same photos while she did. She also was 7 or so months pregnant which was very impressive!

Kristen was fantastic from day one. She was kind, professional, flexible, and gracious in answering every little question I asked before my wedding.

She gave us amazing engagement photos and captured every moment from our wedding day. She was very professional throughout the entire evening, found great spots to take photos, and seemed to take at least one photo of every one of our guests. Kristen and her assistant braved the bitterly cold weather with us for many outdoor photos, all of which were stunning.

I very highly recommend Kristen for your wedding and any other portraits you wish to have. I certainly plan on using Kristen for future milestones in my life.

Kristen is a very talented photographer, and she has a great personality to go with it. Kristen was flexible with us in building a photography package that fit our needs. And, she was willing to go whereever we chose for our engagement photos. We are more than impressed with the end product. I had seen Kristen's work from a few of my friend's weddings and knew that we wanted her for our wedding before we even found a venue. She offers a lot of different packages to fit with any budget which we found really helpful. Her work is stunning and speaks for itself. We communicated with her from abroad for 6 months only over email but eventually got to meet with her at our venue. It was her idea to meet there and worked out really well so she could get ideas for shots in advance. Kristen was so flexible and positive throughout all of the planning and a joy to have at our wedding on the actual day. Both she and her assistant were so easygoing and sweet that I almost forgot they weren't guests! We're really happy with the pictures we've seen so far and could not recommend her more highly.

Kristen Gardner is a rare photographer. Her professionalism, talent, and personality encouraged both my wife and I from the start. Kristen met with us and was incredibly efficient in her communication (before the wedding day, during and after the event). There was little clarification needed. She was also very flexible and willing to work with a tight budget, as we had to drop a couple of the extras that are usually included. We can vouch for her incredible talent to capture even the "little moments" of the wedding, as she and her husband both did. Kristen and her huband were just simply amazing to work with. Kristen's felt like one of my friends at our wedding and she captured every moment beautifully.
