We found out about Nightingale Photography from a coworker that had her engagement photos done by Christina. Her artistic style was exactly what my wife was looking for. Christina was our photographer for both our engagement session and wedding day and we also hired Richard, her husband as our videographer for our wedding day. Together they make a dynamic duo! Can’t express enough how fortunate we were to have Christina and Richard capture the priceless moments of our BIG DAY! Nightingale Photography is simply AMAZING!

On the engagement photo session: we had a great time in the city. As a typical guy, I never ever in my life thought I would be a model type LOL, Christina made us so comfortable that both my wife and I got really into it. The pictures turned out great, we received several compliments from friends and family. From that moment on, we knew that we picked the right person to capture our big day.

On the day of the wedding, Christina and Richard arrived earlier as expected to our resort, apparently they were scoping for scenery around the area where they can take shots for our groomsmen and bridesmaids sessions. Aside from our after wedding party pictures, couple pictures, I honestly lost track of Christina and Richard throughout the day. They were never in your face, in your way, or caused any inconvenience to us or anyone at the wedding. They were all professional and respectful of everyone’s personal space.

They did a great job capturing every aspect of the wedding to the point that my wife and I can pretty much relive our wedding day through the pictures and video. How many people can truthfully really say that. Both the pictures and video turned out awesome.

Christina is simply awesome and a joy to work with. We used her for our wedding in Sonoma this past wknd. Her talent, eye, and creativity as a photographer speaks for itself. Christina was very easy and fun to work with. She made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. Her style of photography is very distinct which was the deciding factor for us. She is also very engaged with her clients and paid close attention to the minutia of details.

Simply put, Christina Hernandez was everything we could have asked for in a wedding photographer. We had a small wedding (10 people) on the patio of our apartment. Christina came over for two hours and took lots of great shots including couples shots around our neighborhood, groups shots of our family, the ceremony, and small reception. We had never used a professional photographer before, but Christina exceeded all our expectations. Her friendly energy put us at ease in front of the camera and she really took the time to think about where the best photo opportunities in our small space would be. Her photos captured all the special moments of our day, not to mention made everyone look fantastic. She even went beyond her photography duties and was there to help us out with little things like keeping an eye on the small children in our group and even helping distribute slices of wedding cake. I was shopping around for a wedding photographer when I first heard about Christina through a colleague, who mentioned that one of her only regrets about her wedding was not having discovered Christina before she got married.

I was immediately curious, given that I'm a journalist, and I tend to trust other journalists who typically have a particular eye for that special place where beautiful images meets visual storytelling. After interviewing her and reviewing her work, my husband and I hired her almost immediately.

Christina's photos are gorgeous-- well composed, artistic and poignant. While she has an authentic documentary style that recalls events of the wedding as they unfold, she also puts her own signature on each photo, whether it's through a unique angle, expert composition, flattering lighting, or post-production finishes.

During the planning process, I also learned the real importance of anticipating not only how the photos will turn out, but the journey in getting there with a photographer. Christina's ebullient personality not only made her a delight to work with, but she helped put a camera-shy couple at ease (giving us specific directions for poses) during our initial engagement portrait session, prepping us for the big day.

We really wanted someone who was fun and outgoing, like us. And, we wanted our pictures to be candid and funky. Christina was perfect! We knew she was the one for us after our consultation. She laughed a lot and put us at ease. We had our engagement photos done by her and were blown away! We looked like we were from a magazine. Ok, our wedding pics? AMAZING!!!! Not only did she do the formals in a cool way, but she got all these real moments we will treasure forever. So fun to see all the fun people had around us, all of us getting ready, ceremony, detail, reception, etc.. She really has a unique and fresh way of seeing the world. i cannot say enough about christina's professionalism, cheerful attitude, and fabulous eye when it comes to taking amazing wedding photos. we hired her for an engagement shoot along with the wedding itself and were not disappointed. we got so many great images that i will treasure for a lifetime--and i say this 5 years after our wedding date in 2004. christina was able to capture those amazing wedding moments with an approach that will never go out of style or look dated hanging on a wall--just fresh, beautiful images that embody the true emotions of the people in the photographs. we have since used christina for family shoots and for our daughter's first birthday photos--i will not trust anyone else when it comes to capturing our family's history. 100% recommended!

I remember meeting Christina and falling in love with her work at the first bridal fair I went to in the beginning stages of my wedding planning. Her photographs have a unique style that fit perfectly with what my fiancé and I were looking for (we did not want the boring/typical formal/stiff shots). She seemed too good to be true and I left with her card thinking there is no way we could afford such an amazing photographer. As my search continued for the perfect photographer, without much luck, I decided to just go ahead and give her a call. She ended up driving all the way down to meet with us at a local cafe with more examples of her work. We were hooked! Not only is she an amazing artist- Christina is a fun, warm hearted, flexible, and understanding person. She makes you want to smile, and in her line of work, this is good! She worked with us to create the perfect package to fit our needs (and wasn't too expensive or overpriced at all).

We ended up taking our engagement photos at the boardwalk and had a blast! Besides a bunch of great pictures we were further validated in knowing we made a great choice in choosing Christina to capture our wedding day. We really clicked with her and knew we would work well with her and that she would do a fantastic job in capturing such a special day for us.

We were right!!! She captured everything we wanted and more! Our pictures are BEAUTIFUL! There are so many, and so many perfect ones, that I still haven't finalized my choices for our book (our wedding was over 6 months ago)! Thankfully she has been very understanding and patient with us! She has been so helpful, professional, and kind through this whole process. We can't wait to work again with her in the future...the way she captures children is priceless!

Christina was amazing. We wanted to find a photog who had a "different" style, not the cheesy poses. She loves cool backgrounds and edgy environments and I feel like our pictures REALLY show who we really are. We went to a wearhouse district in Berkeley for engagement shoot and had a blast. After hours spent poring over scores of online photography portfolios in search of a wedding photographer, I came across Christina's site. I was immediately struck by her artistry and gifted "photographer's eye." We were equally impressed by her warmth and friendliness when we met her in person; we hired her on the spot. I am rather uncomfortable in front of the camera, but by the end of our engagement photo session, I was completely at ease (a fact that definitely came through in the photos). As a result, on the day of our wedding, I hardly noticed Christina's presence, even in the most intimate of moments, like when my husband and I saw one another for the first time. Throughout our wedding day, Christina maintained a perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. We have received endless compliments on the beauty and artfulness of our wedding-day photos. Our wedding album is breathtaking and of fine quality; our parents love their smaller versions of our album.

We found Christina's prices extremely reasonable and recommend her highly. In fact, my sister-in-law has hired Christina to shoot her Spring 2010 wedding. We look forward to working with Christina in the future for baby and family photos.

I was searching for a photographer who had a sense of style and whose work didn't look like the others. I found Kristin! She was so casual and fun. We did an engagement portrait with her and she really helped us get ready for the big day. We shot the pictures in the alleys of Chinatown and had a blast. They look like magazine photos! When our friends saw the photos Christina took of our wedding they thought we looked like movie stars (which believe me we don't usually!) She really captured the essential beauty of the moment with all of her shots- of the wedding, of our families, of the laughter and tears. We decided to hire her again and photograph our daughter. The portrait she took is on the wall in our living room- it is fine art with the subject being our daughter! There is nothing staged or stiff in her work- I just don't know how she does it! Really!
