From the time my husband and I met Michael we felt comfortable that he was the right choice for our wedding. We did an engagement session with him. Due to bad weather, it was postponed numerous times but Michael was flexible and they turned out great! During the wedding he did a great job despite my blinking husband! The pictures look awesome and everyone is pleased by them! He is very reasonably priced for what he gives you! I would recommend Michael to anyone!

I used Michael Kulik's photography services for my wedding in 1994, as did my middle sister and we absolutely LOVED him! He has a winning personality, is very personable and captures the BEST scenes of the wedding. He ensures that the bride and groom circulate the room to be casually and candidly photographed with all of the guests in a way that just feels sociable and smooth, and all of my guests commented that I made the time to visit and speak with each of them! He was flexible and creative, willing to travel a bit from the venue, to take some gorgeous shots against the fall foliage, by a watermill and endlessly patient with all of my variety of requests to have this relative and that relative included in various groupings. He recently photographed my baby sister's wedding and he was just as charming, professional and skillful as I remembered when he photographed my wedding. I had the pleasure of working with Michael from Kulik Photography in the past. He was the photographer at both of my sister’s weddings. I loved both of my sister’s wedding albums so it was an easy choice for me to go with him for the most special day of my life.
Michael Kulik was an incredible asset to our wedding experience. From the very first meeting we had, he came prepared and was very professional through the entire process. He also has such a friendly side to him that made me and my entire wedding party feel so comfortable. He took photos that I wouldn’t have ever thought about. Before we arrived he was already there “scoping” out the area to figure out where the best photos could be taken. The only problem I had was choosing which photos I wanted in my album! Over 500 pictures and all of them were incredible. I greatly appreciate how Michael went above and beyond in every way. He was there long before the wedding started and stayed until the very last shot could be taken, literally the very last shot! I still feel bad that you didn’t get your dinner . Michael was only the first photographer we met with but we ended up cancelling several meetings with other potential photographers, because we knew he was perfect. Michael has a very laid-back and easygoing personality, but he clearly takes his work very seriously. His prices were better than almost anyone else we found, and the photos turned out great. He even threw in an engagement session for very little extra.

On the day of our wedding, it ended up pouring. We had planned on taking all of our photos outdoors. Michael was flexible and he was willing to do whatever he could to make the day perfect. We ended up taking most of our formal shots indoors and then Michael and several of the bridal party trooped outside. Though we got soaked, the photos turned out amazingly, thanks to Michael's great skills. We were so glad he was willing to stand in the pouring rain for us!

Michael has a great sense of humor which put us both at ease and made the photo sessions fun. He was great at keeping us moving through the entire reception so we could see everyone and have time to enjoy it. He even gave us the idea of the Anniversary Dance that went over very well.

Michael was always prompt and very responsive to every question, big and small. He knows his stuff and was a lot of fun to work with. If you're deliberating between Michael and anyone else, go with Michael, you won't be disappointed.

Michael was fantastic! I could not ask for a better photograper. I really liked the fact that he still gives out good ole fashioned 4x6 prints and not just a cd like all of the other photographers we sifted through. Michael aims to perfectly capture your event. After our wedding we had a large group of people who had to be organized into different sets for group shots. He did a tremendous job of getting them organized and, even more amazing, getting them all to smile. He has excellent endurance and a passion to get the best possible shots of your event as possible. He has an eye for creative posed shots with his 25+ years experience. Michael strives to understand and meet the expressed needs of his clients. He also provides helpful suggestions of poses you may not have considered. We were very pleased with the quality of his work and the photos he delivered.

Michael did a wonderful job photographing our son's wedding. Our son is an accomplished amateur photographer so he knew what he wanted. Michael delivered every picture on the list and came through with excellent results.

Michael Kulik photographed my daughter's engagement pictures, wedding, and Rehearsal Luncheon photos. The engagement photos were fabulous and extremely reasonable. Michael took a ton of pictures that morning in his lovely back yard which is magnificently landscaped. You can read my previous review regarding the May 27th rehearsal luncheon. Those pictures were gorgeous. He is discreet while he takes his shots. There were many photos that I had no clue that he had taken. Now for the wedding day-- Michael listened, he heard, and he performed everything we asked for and then some. Let me say that the wedding couple was very picky and somewhat demanding. However, Michael, the professional that he is met all and I mean ALL of their demands. Here is an unrelated story: My eldest daughter was married and we had a horrible photographer, NOT Michael. I explained to Michael that it had been 32 years since a picture was taken with myself and my own 4 siblings. Michael took this photo for me and it is LOVELY. I am so grateful to him that we have this photo to cherish of my own brother and 3 sisters! We now have an album that will be fantastic to share for years and years to come He is a professional and makes super quality pictures. HE WAS AMAZING! A bride would be a fool not to hire Michael! Hopefully, he will be available for you, but don't drag your feet in nailing your date. I nearly missed having him do our wedding pictures by 45 minutes...actually, he had to forego a couple of weddings on May 28th because we were lucky enough to call him just in time to photograph our wedding for May 28th. Michael did the wedding photos for my daughters wedding this past May 2011. I am beyond pleased with the final product!! The photos are beautiful, clear and professional. He was a pleasure to work with and from the moment we had our initial meeting with him I had a good feeling about him. On the wedding day he was there early and took photos from the beginning to end; to include the getting ready part. These are photos that will be cherished for a lifetime. Also, Michael includes numerous prints in his package; and this is mostly unheard of now with vendors only wanting to give you a CD and you still have to pay to get the photos printed! Photography for Michael Kulik is not a job it is a passion. He is a true professional in every sense of the word and comes very highly recommended. This is the fourth event that I have had a hand in organizing where Michael's services as a photographer wowed me. The first time I met him was at a charity event. The event was not local for him, but he came in, took a look around and got the job done. He got great pictures of people who never even knew he was there. Group shots were organized and executed in the blink of an eye. He is fantastic to work with, has great ideas for shots, knows what will work and what won't. He wants his subjects to really be the focal point of the picture and it really comes through in his work. He has a great personality and really knows his stuff. He had a list of the pictures that were wanted and nothing was left out. Celebrities at charity events are definitely more difficult to deal with, they are getting paid to be there and they are not as concerned about details. Mike was able to read them, make them feel comfortable, and enjoy being there. The opportunity to work with Kulik Photographic has always been a rewarding experience and I look forward to being able to call on his services again. This was not a wedding shoot, but a family shoot. Michael took many versions of each picture, giving us the maximum options for prints. He was able to retouch a couple of the shots to make us look even better! And has generously provided prints in multiple sizes for the family. I would and have recommended his work.

During the worst snowstorm since 1932, Michael was probably one of the only photographers working a wedding that day. Not only was he at the church before we arrived, he kept everyone in the wedding party calm eventhough some of the wedding party never made it to the church. The photographs before, during and after the ceremony were wonderful and exactly what we wanted. Because the limo company cancelled at the last minute, Michael even took the bride and groom to the reception. Michael has that "can do" spirit that made this country great. We highly recommend Michael and his professionalism. He went above and beyond to make our daughter's wedding a day we will always remember.

What can I say, Michael ROCKS...as a person and a photographer! Reading all of the WW reviews, there was no doubt that Michael would perform an outstanding job. Following one phone call to him, it was set and I knew that his personality was a perfect fit for our event. He was always accessible for any last minute questions that I may have had. He met with us prior to the wedding and took wonderful engagement pics that we used on our guest sign in frame at the wedding. The day of the event, he was prompt and professional and extremely helpful in making sure everyone got where they needed to be. The ceremony ran late and Michael did his best to get us in and out and on to our reception as quickly as possible. At the end of it all, we ended up with so many pictures that it was extremely hard to narrow down the selection. Great shots from an outstanding photog! Not to mention his "those that serve" discount made me love him even more!

Michael was great to work with for our wedding! He was incredibly easy to get along with and was really flexible with all of our needs. The prices were very reasonable and we got the rights to all of our pictures once the order was complete, which was super expensive or impossible everywhere else we looked. The quality was great and we got copies of all the proofs so we could see exactly what we were getting before we ordered any of our pictures.

We really enjoyed working with Michael for both our wedding day and engagement photos.

When hiring a photographer I not only look for the artistic side I look for someone with what I call personality adaptability. Our pictures were incredible, never had a better artist - angles, shadows, rare moments, textures, just things you don't even know or think about. Michael made everyone comfortable, even those who over indulged if you get my point. My nephew has already hired him for a special event. I highly recommend this photographer for any purpose.

Micheal was a wonderful photographer! He's very polite and professional, and he takes beautiful pictures. We're very happy with our photos. For the DC area, I doubt you'll find a nicer photographer who delivers such quality photos for a similar price!

Mike was great and got a lot of great shots! Although my nephew (only 2.5 years old) was scared by his booming voice and all the activity, Mike was still able to get some great shots of him which I found impressive. We have a large family and large wedding party, so it took a lot of time for pictures, but Mike was very easy to work with and made it much less hectic than it could have been! Overall did a great job!

Michael Kulik was an excellent photographer. I could not have asked for more. He showed up early on my wedding day which allowed me to have some pictures taken at a nearby lake (which was previously not discussed) before the wedding. Mike was happy and willing to accomadate this request on the spot. During the ceremony, I didn't notice him taking pictures at all, and was delightfully surprised when I saw that he took pictures from every angle possible without anyone really noticing him moving around. I think he has a really good eye for how wedding pictures should be done. He had never visited the wedding site before, and he quickly picked out the best places to take pictures. He took a lot of pictures in a short amount of time and everyone was really impressed! The quality of the pictures are fantastic. I would very highly recommend him!!!

Mike was very professional on his work before and after the event, and always maintained a great attitude. His responsiveness was great, after booking his services I did not had to worry any more about my wedding pictures as I felt comfortable that he was going to do a great job. He took his time to show us his work, and give us tips that we could use at the reception. Those tips were truly appreciated and implemented. One thing that I valued in addition to the tips was that he would always answer my questions on a timely manner.

If you are looking for a photographer who takes great photos, works quickly, and can keep your entire wedding party and family organized for the many group shots you'll need -- Michael is definitely your guy. We chose him because he has an excellent reputation and is competitively priced. We also chose him because we wanted a photographer who could move through the portrait photos quickly so that we could actually enjoy our wedding and not have to be taking posed pictures all night! Michael was also very easy to work with to coordinate our engagement pictures and the wedding day schedule, and is very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. Michael definitely keeps his commitments and turned around our photos (over 600 of them) on time. He takes great care in his work and you won't be disappointed.

On our wedding day we experienced some delay due to some hairdressing and makeup artists issues and we had to make a few last minute adjustments to our plans for photos (between the wedding and reception)...but due to Michael's speed, efficiency and overall organization...we were able to come up with an alternative plan and we were very pleased with the results.

It was a pleasure working with Mike. His wit and sense of humor only added to the day's celebration. He was a true hit with the families. Mike was very responsive making the photography planning process stress-free. I would definitely recommend his services.

We were fairly pleased with our pictures. The photgrapher gives teacher and military discounts which was very nice. He gives you a choice of three photo packages and is flexible with extending the time if you need him longer. He gives you many options with your photos. You will receive all the pictures he takes in 4x6 color copies. All of them can be reprinted in black and white. You have access to your photos online for two years.

He is quick moving and takes many photos. At the reception he was great to remind us to eat etc. and make sure we had a good time without taking time away for posed pictures with family and friends.

If you do choose to use him, I would suggest you ask for a variety of vertical and horizontal pictures at both the ceremony and reception. I felt we had a lot of vertical from the ceremony and very few horizontal, then vice versa at the reception.
