Delicious and beautiful cake!!!!

La Bonne Boulangerie was the bakery that Giorgios uses. We were told to make an appt with Corey for a tasting and to select a cake. Once we made the appt we were asked to come with some ideas. We met with Corey who runs this shop bakery and a few other places on Long Island with his family. We did not receive a tasting at our appt. when we discussed our ideas we were told that it would be a $500 upgrade. We love cake but were not prepared to pay $500 for something we thought was included. We were then shown the 5 included cake styles and a limited fillings menu. We spoke to Giorgios because we felt that the choices we were given from such a high end bakery were not up to par with the menu at Giorgio's. Everything worked out. We did give the bakery some money to upgrade to a cannoli cake which was delish! We "designed" a basic wedding cake and it was beautiful! Our final product was delish and our guests enjoyed the cake! In the end it turned out great...just a few kinks in the planning.

We were so pleased with working with LaBonne Boulangerie. My cake was absolutely delicious and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Corey was great to work with and made everything exactly how I imagined. They have such a wide variety of cake styles to fit every style. I would absolutely recommend this bakery to everyone and will be using them again in the future!

My husband and I had a unique idea for a wedding cake, a cake pop cake! Corey said he had never made one before but that he would definitely make it. The cake came out awesome and all of our guests said it was delicious. I have Celiac disease and therefore can't eat cake. However, they made me a layer of gluten free cake so that my husband and I could still have the cake cutting ceremony. They were very accommodating and the whole cake came out awesome. My husband and I were very happy with the end product! We would definitely recommend this bakery.

La Bonne Boulangerie was the included Baker in our package at Giorgio's Baiting Hollow. We visited the small bakery in Port Jeff to look at some cakes and pick something out. We had to wait almost 30 minutes as his previous appointment went longer than expected. This was the only part of the whole experience i wasn't pleased with. After looking at some designs it was explained to us that a standard buttercream tiered cake was included. We decided to upgrade to the tiered full fondant cake with accents for $475. We used one of the pictures of previous cakes as the base for our design then explained what we wanted to change to make it our own. I was a little nervous getting to see the cake for the first time at the wedding but it did not disappoint.. It was exactly what we wanted and everyone loved it.

Oh and it was delicious too. Most weddings i've been to the cake just looks good. This one was the whole package.

I cannot say enough about our wedding cake. It was gorgeous and tasted amazing. They baked it fresh the morning of our wedding! Highly recommended!

This was one of the bakeries that our original location used. We unfortunately had to change locations due to Hurricane Sandy and had to cancel our original wedding and cake. We canceled our cake about one week before the wedding was supposed to be, and while Cory was nice enough regarding having to cancel our cake, it has taken a long time to receive our refund. One other downfall was that when we went in for our "tasting" we brought two friends with us, and there was no cake to be had. He told us that if we wanted to taste the cake that we chose we would need to come back yet another time.

The cake and pastries from La Bonne are SOOO delicious and my wedding cake was no exception. I went to order the cake with a specific design in mind. DH and I met with Corey - he took his time with us and went over all of the details to finalize everything and pick flavors. My cake turned out exactly how I envisioned it. I wanted a specific monogram which was done perfectly and the quilting on the cake looked awesome. They did a great job.

My mother in law also ordered the cake for my bridal shower from this bakery. It came out beautiful and was so delicious as well. You really can't go wrong with this bakery! Everything is...

The cake at my daughter's wedding, October 28, 2012) was absolutely gorgeous and delicious. Everyone remarked how beautiful the cake was and took pictures of it.

The gentleman who helped us gave us loads of time to decide and was responsive to special requests both myself and my catering hall made. The cake was marvelous, expertly crafted and delicious!!!

The cake for our wedding was beautiful on the outside and sooo delicious on the inside! I've had wedding cakes at friends weddings before from this bakery, and they were always delicious! We can't wait to eat the top tier on our first anniversary!

The cake was gorgeous and delicious. I was a little upset by the lack of attention I was given when I had made an appointment to construct a surprise grooms cake for my husband. I kept being pushed to the side so customers could be taken care of ahead of me. I understand a business needs to be run but I had made an appointment to avoid this. I felt rushed and not welcomed after I had upgraded to a significantly priced wedding cake.

From booking our appointment to meeting with Corey to serving our cake at our wedding everything was wonderful. Corey made the entire process of choosing your wedding cake to the decorations on the cake easy and he was very accommodating. The cake was beautiful and everyone raved about the cake. It was one of the best cakes I have ever had. We also added a birthday cake to the wedding and it was all chocolate and amazing. We also had the mini pastries and everyone was better than the last. We now drive 45 minutes to go to this bakery for all our bakery needs. Everyone loves the cakes, pies, breads we bring from Corey. Truely amazing and wonderful people it can be overwelming to choose the right cake and filling and decorations but Corey explained everything and helped in the entire process.

Corey at La Bonne Boulangerie took my random cake ideas I threw at him, gave his opinion on how to use them for the best outcome and created a masterpiece. It was like he looked into my head and saw the most beautiful cake that I have been dreaming about. Not only was the cake stunning to look at, it tasted wonderful as well. I can’t wait to defrost the top piece in a year and have some more!

The cake was baked fresh that day arrived to the venue ahead of time and was moist and delicious. Cory was also very nice to work with during the design process. Would recommend the quality and appearance of the cake.

We came in with a very specific idea of what we wanted when we met with Cory. We gave him a photo of exactly what we wanted, and on the day of the wedding, the cake was everything we wanted. It was delicious and absolutely beautiful. Couldn't have asked for a better cake.

Our cake was excellent. It was beautiful and received a lot of compliments in both appearance and taste.

Our only minor comment/complain would be with our cake topper. iWe ordered customized cake toppers to look like our pets. While we got a lot of compliments on them we were disappointed in them. We had hoped they would reasonable our pets. They looked very cartoony and were not what we expected/requested.

Although the cakes and pastries were delicious at the wedding, there were so many different kinds of cake fillings to choose from. We would have liked it more if we could have sampled a few of the fillings that were going into our cake

Wonderful bakery to work with!

Cake came out great. It was one of the few things that went right at our wedding.

I thought they were severely overpriced since they didn't finish my cake. They forgot to put my real flowers on the cake and instead there was a pink fake tacky flower which did not go with our theme. It's in part also to my florist and the bakery not communicating but since I paid extra (for what I think is a standard wedding cake today), i think it's the baker's responsibility to get the cake right. I don't know how it tasted bc I didn't get to dessert. They are very busy bakery, well known, good but overpriced. Time with the consultant was brief and rushed which is probabily why they messed up on our cake.

Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful a work of art. We choice cannoli and chocolate mouse as our filling's. People are still talking about it! Thank you La Bonne Boulangerie :)

The staff were very friendly and Cory was great, listening to our wants. Everyone loved the cake and so did we. We went simple with the flavors, since their quality is exceptional, there was no need for any additional bells and whistles.
Can't wait for next year to eat on our one year anniversary!

cake was nice . kind of like the picture we provided but not exact..it was good but nothing exceptional. top layer was gluten free nd a little dry . but thy were nice to deal withand fillings were good

Our cake was incredibly beautiful and delicious as well! It was so fresh that guests were remarking that they never had wedding cake so fresh! Corey was patient and extremely helpful during our consultation.

The cake was absolutely delicious. However, the decoration was very far from the quality discussed and expected. There was no feedback to indicate that the requested decoration was beyond the capability of the vendor, leaving us dissatisfied with the its appearance. In general, the feedback regarding the decoration was sparse and under-involved. Despite the deliciousness, we do not feel the cake was worth the value charged.

I can't say enough positive things about La Bonne Boulangerie. We contacted them in a panic with less than two weeks to go before our wedding after being completely dissatisfied with another bakery. They were flexible in arranging a time for us to meet. We met with Corey exactly a week before the wedding. He was kind and extremely professional. He took time with us and reassured me that the short notice was not a problem. The delivery charge from the bakery in Port Jeff to Mattituck was extremely fair and actually less money than any other delivery charges we paid that day. On the day of our wedding, our cake looked EXACTLY like the picture I gave Corey. I was extremely happy. The minute my husband and I put the knife into the cake we could smell it - it was incredibly fresh. I love red velvet cake and have had it from many bakeries on Long Island and in the city and I can say this was the best I've ever had. The cream cheese filling was also better than any other I've had. We loved our cake and got tons of compliments from our guests. We also continued eating it after the wedding until we had to go on our honeymoon and were sad to leave it behind! I can't wait to defrost our top tier a year from now! I also hope my husband goes back to buy my birthday cake this year. You can't go wrong with La Bonne Boulangerie!

My wedding cake was gorgeous!!.. I never gave a picture I just described what I wanted and it was perfect!! I also had a striped bass groomscakw made and it was amazing! Everyone was going crazy for it!!

Corey was great to work with, I would use them again in the future for functions. Great tasting cake and it looked amazing! He was straight forward on the process and taught you what the steps were. He was honest and very direct.

The cake design was simply amazing! It looked like the centerpiece of the whole wedding. Everyone was talking about it, the guests were just in awe, and I would highly recommend them!

Overall, the cake was great. Unlike most wedding cakes, which are generally awful tasting, the cake in this case was very tasty. I received a number of compliments that the cake was really good.

Instead of getting the traditional wedding cake I ordered 5 different cakes which were unbelievably delicious, beautifully decorated and way more than we expected - we were pleasantly surprise and a lot more cake than we needed - very highly recommended!!

The contract with our wedding venue included a wedding cake, free of charge, from this bakery. It could have been a hit or miss, but luckily for us, La Bonne Boulangerie makes delicious cakes and pastries. The only downside was that the complimentary cake had to be chosen from one of five standard designs, with no customization allowed other than the addition of fresh flowers (provided by your florist). So for us, I had my heart set on a fondant cake (love the look of a smooth finish) but unfortunately, the five designs were only of buttercream frosted cakes. So we had to pay a few hundred more for the fondant option, which also gave us additional filling and design options. It was worth it in the end because our cake was beautiful and tasty (not many wedding cakes are), but the prices at this bakery are a tad high. When we went for our tasting, we also bought a box of pastries home and I have to say, they were also quite delicious.

My husband and I choose the red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting as our wedding cake and it turned out moist and delicious. We were very happy with the bakery and our cake. However, there are only 5 "standard" wedding cakes to choose from, and anything different, even if the design is just as simple, requires steep upcharges. La Bonne Boulangerie has the capability to make magnificent cakes, but they were too pricey for our typical wedding cake, and we were not willing to pay an increased cost to have our own design, as simple as it was. There is also upcharges for anything besides the basic flavors, however the price increase on this was more reasonable which is why we upgraded to the red velvet and were very happy with this decision.

La Bonne Boulangerie provided us with the most AMAZING wedding cake! Not only was it EXACTLY what I had asked for- but they went above and beyond to make sure it was stunning and delicious! I have never heard so many people rave about a wedding cake- but they did for ours! :)

La Bonne Boulangerie did such a fantastic job with my wedding cake. Working with the staff there made it so easy for me. They are professional, experienced, talented and delightful. They do such fantastic work and are so incredibly accommodating. I cannot wait to use their services for all of my events in the future!

Outstanding!!!! The wedding cake and the cupcake tier was the most stunning and delicious we have ever had!!! No need to waste money on the "fancy" new york city names when the cake cost a fortune and dont taste good!! They are hands down the best!!!!!

Our cake was STUNNING!! Exactly what we wanted! It also tasted great too!!!! It was quite an upcharge from what was provided, but it was SO worth it!!!!!

My cake came out horrible!!!!!!! It did not look like the pictures I gave to them, it came out so messy like the cake through up pink ribbon all over. That was the first thing I noticed wrong on my wedding day, but I didn't let it bother me that day. I called them to file a complaint but never received a phone call back. I am extremely upset because we paid for the $550 upgrade and did not get what the upgrade meant- professional design. If I knew, this I would of went with a much cheaper offer. So disappointed in this, I wish I could upload a picture so you can see the difference. I did not receive one compliment on the cake at all. ughhh soo mad!!!!!

Our wedding cake, as with most wedding halls, was included in our package. However, the usual run-of-the-mill cake would simply not do for our wedding day, and we wanted people to enjoy the cake - instead of saying "Ehh, it was a wedding cake". We had a vanilla cake with chantilly cream and berries. One word - YUM! I still get calls from friends asking where we got our cake. We plan on ordering the same cake, smaller of course, every year for our anniversary. On a side note - we use this bakery for everything else as well. It is simply delicious and we highly recommend them to anyone who asks!

I got my wedding cake from here, and it was AMAZING! The time and attention to detail really showed and i was more than amazed when I first saw it, it was even more beautiful than I expected. The catering crew at our venue who have been doing weddings there for 10 years told us our cake was by far the most gorgeous cake they have had there! It's not about looks when it comes to something edible, and I have to say the taste was equally as great!
We also ordered donuts to give out at the end of the reception and they were incredible, very tasty! Corey and his crew did a fantasitc job and were extermly pleasant to work with, he worked with us to custom design the cake as well as offer donut selections they usually do not make!

I LOVED MY CAKE! It was AMAZING!

Our cake was a beautiful 4 tier all-white cake with our initials monogrammed on it. The filling was half chocolate mousse and half strawberry which everyone got a taste of both. They gave us great advice from the beginning and accommodated our last minute changes perfectly. Highly recommend.

My cake was gorgeous!!! My cake was baked at the store in East Norwich, NY and really was a work of art. I brought in a sample of what my flowers were going to be and they really matched it. The cake was delicious and beautiful. We also bought my cake for my shower there and everyone still talks about how pretty and delicious it was. La Bonne Boulangerie is an awesome bakery and whether you want an everyday sweet or a fancy cake that is personalized just for you, I highly recommend them. They made my wedding night sweeter than it already was :)

Although we got our cake from their sister store Dortoni's (they are not vendors on Wedding Wire), the cake was beautiful and tasty. They got the "blue" color perfect. I was NOT fond of the taste of the fondant, but I believe it was a personal choice. Highly reccommended!
