La Bove

This is a great vendor. The place is beautiful. This place has 2 wedding rooms. The one we used was for a smaller reception (under 50 people). They also have a larger room upstairs for larger wedding parties. They have a gazebo on site for the Ceremony. Liked this idea, since we had several senior citizens who had a difficult time traveling from church to recpetion. I rated this place 4 stars because the owner assured me that on the day of the wedding the gazebo would be decorated with hanging baskets of flowers and the surrounding area would have beautiful planted flowers in season. It was not. They had 3 hanging baskets (not 4) and the ones they did have were half dead. Although the surrounding area was beautiful, the flowers were scarce. If I knew this ahead, I would have brought my own flowers to suplement.
That said, the inside dinner room was beautifully decorated. The food was outstanding. The service was great, although our server forgot to serve our chocolate covered strawberries. By the time she remembered, our guests were ready to leave. Also, we had access to an adjacent room for our cocktail hour. The room was supposed to be set up with tables and chairs for our guests to mingle around. There were NO tables or chairs and subesequently our guests had their coctails at their tables in the dining room. Not what I expected...........
All in all, the food was so outstanding, it sort of overshadowed the complaints we had. I would reccommend this place, but I would be sure to get a confirmation on certain things ahead of time. I would arrive an hour early to assure those things are done right.
