We used this vendor as they were provided through the hotel. Although the flavors and cake were delicious, I was disappointed in the colors that arrived. They were NOT what we had discussed. We had asked for peaches, pinks, white, mint. We knew that the chocolate would be brown obviously and were okay with that but the other colors were supposed to be springtime colors. I was very disappointed to see lots of dark brown and bright orange cupcakes. They were definitely fall colors and did not fit in with our color scheme at all. I wish they would have reached out to us a final time before making that decision.

PJ does an awesome job with her cakes and the best part is they taste AWESOME!

One thing is she doesn't respond to emails quickly but the patience is worth it because the cake is awesome and her designs are great.

PJ was very receptive to my cupcake idea. We wanted a non traditional "Cake". We had a top tier cake and the rest were different flavors of cupcakes! They were delicious!

When my fiance and I met with PJ, our two adult sons wanted to go with us. They were thinking, 'free cake.' My fiance's son was adamant that he absolutely did NOT want any kind of 'fruity stuff' in the cake. My son just wanted chocolate. (Although they sound like kids, they really are adults!) We tried three kinds of cake and even the boys LOVED it! They raved about the flavors and textures and even liked the fruit. We chose alternating layers of chocolate with chocolate cream filling and vanilla with fruit filling-and both flavors were moist and delicious. The design was beautiful with multicolors of blue fondant fading from cobalt blue on the bottom to almost white at the top. All of my friends and family raved about the look and the flavor of our cake. PJ is very talented and was great to work with. I encourage everyone to use her!

PJ was extremely helpful during the cake process. It was the BEST tasting cake I have ever had. I got plain yellow cake with plain vanilla buttercream frosting... but it was delicious! I've been craving it ever since! She made 4 vegan cupcakes for my vegan guests, and they loved those as well! I would recommend La Dolce Pesca to ANYONE and EVERYONE!

PJ was so much fun to work with!! our cake was hands down the best tasting cake i have ever had! we did the delicious champagne pink cake with white chocolate filling and a totally awesome chocolate with Oreo cake that blew my socks off!! i only wish i would have had the banquet staff save my honey and i a few pieces to enjoy later....:) i would recommend PJ to anyone who is ready for the fresh moist yummiest cake ever and bid farewell to the same old blah wedding cake they are used to!

PJ was great! Our cake was so delicious! We had a three layer cake and chose two different cake flavors with buttercream frosting. We got to choose from a few different vendors for our wedding package and we are so happy we chose La Dolce Pesca. We knew right away to go with her since her cake was so moist and the buttercream frosting was amazing. She has lots to choose from and will work with any type of design you are looking for. I am already looking forward to our year anniversary when she'll make us a new top tier instead of a year old freezerburnt one!

I hated the cake. As I was getting photographed with my bridal party, I saw the lady walk by with my cake, and mentioned to my Maid of Honor, "I hope this is not my cake, that looks unfinished and it looks ugly". She agreed. I don't know what happened but the cake was horrible!!! The flowers looked like a 5 year old did them. The leaves didn't look real and the color was like a neon green, which didn't match the other colors. The cake didn't have as many flowers like I had showed her in a picture. The red flowers looked like they were smashed and didn't look finished. The fondant had cracks and wasn't smoothed out. It looked like the fondant was melting. There was also a lot of white powder left on the flowers, they weren't clean or wiped down. Furthermore, when we had to cut the cake, I was embarrassed and hoped no one noticed the ugly cake. When I saw my wedding pictures, the cake looked as ugly as I remembered it. You can even see all the poor work they did. I was extremely unhappy with the cake.

La Dolce Pesca, offers the whole package when it comes to wedding cakes….great service, affordable, delicious tasting and gorgeous too. I was a picky bride and very demanding - PJ worked patiently with me making sure all my requests were honored.
When my cake made its first appearance on my wedding day it was an instant star. Not only did it look exactly how I envisioned it, but it was so yummy. I can't tell you how many compliments I got. Thanks PJ!!! I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

PJ was amazing to work with! I tried many cake bakers and hers were the best tasting by far!!! I changed my mind about a dozen times and she was so patient. The day of my cake looked exactly as I had imagined it and it tasted amazing! I am still getting compliments on it.

This was the best tasting cake I have EVER had!!!!!! It was beautiful as well! PJ also made our cookie favors which turned out beautiful and tasted just as good as the cake!

My sister and I had a double wedding last year and La Dolce Pesca created two AMAZING mirrored cakes! They are not only GORGEOUS but also delicious! They had huge bows on them with sparkly pendants in the middle of the bows. One cake had a red bow and the other have a brown bow... they looked amazing sitting next to each other on the cake table. The guests all raved about the flavors as well. Each cake had two flavors and they were so yummy! Thank you La Dolce Pesca! :)

My design for the cake was pretty simple, so I wasn't worried about any baker having trouble with the simple, elegant look I was going for. Instead, we spent a lot of time visiting bakeries as the "taste" of the cake was very important to us. PJ was not only able to accommodate our requests, which included flavors not listed on her website menu (Tiramisu and Chocolate Kahlua), but she was reasonably priced (more cake per square inch as her cake tiers are thicker and she counts each person's slice bigger than other bakeries) and by far the best tasting cake we tried in the whole area. The cake turned out beautifully and tasted amazing! It was the real star of our reception. I can't wait to order one for our first year anniversary!

PJ was amazing. We went into the appointment with our colors and a few ideas, and she took what we said and ran with it. We didn't really know what we were looking for except we knew we wanted cupcakes. PJ suggested we have a two tier to cut into and we are so glad she did! The cake and cupcakes matched our decor prefectly, modern with cut out circles and squares in black and red. We had three different flavors: lemon with lemon mousse, chocolate with chocolate mousse and, my personal favorite, pink champagne with white chocolate mousse! All of our guests said their cupcake was the best thing they had ever had, regardless of what flavor they chose - I believe there was actually arguing on which was better! Make sure you get more than just the first bite as a couple!

PJ was great. She was very flexible, brought tons of pictures for us to choose from, brought delicious samples, and made our experience wonderful. The day of the wedding when I looked at my cake I was blown away. It was absolutely breathtaking. I loved it and it tasted delightful! I also changed one of my flavors a few weeks before and she didn't bat an eye. She was very flexible!!! She is extremely talented!

I do not recommend using La dolce pesca for your wedding. I should of known from the beggining when we scheduled an appt with her and she never showed!! We waited outside for 1hr and she never showed up. We called and called and she never called us back and never responded to our voicemails we had left her. We finally decided to call her from a diffrent # and she answered, We confronted her with the situation and said she had never recieved any messages or missed calls(how weird...). We ended up booking her for our wedding. The cake we choose was a 5 tier white cake with champagne colored designs and Bows. Instead we got a 3tier, orange colored mess!!!!!!!!!!!

We had 2 choices for our wedding cake, that was included in our reception package. The other vendor (Roberts) did not do fondant, so we were cornered into using PJ. I met her at the eat, drink & be married event that the resort hosts. she was totally unresponsive after 2 emails and 2 voicemails. I had to get the resort involved to get her to call me back. We met for our cake tasting and I was REALLY disappointed. She had 2 flavors for us to taste. Call me crazy, but I was ready to taste 8-10 flavors. So, we just went on a whim and picked something that sounded good based on her recommendation. I had a photo of exactly what i wanted, so there was no room for error based on communication. It turned out great though. It tasted great and she did a nice job of decorating it- even adjusting our cake topper to make it more balanced.

La Dolce Pesca made an exquisite cake for my wedding.They where a pleasure to work with from the tasting and all the way through.Based on what i sampled from the tasting i went with a three tiered Vanilla cake filled with Butter cream.I loved the way it turned out.I was very beautifully designed and they set it up very nicely.It was even delivered to my home for a small fee.I highly recommend them for any kind of cake for your wedding.

You’ve never had a good, quality cake or cupcake until you’ve tried one from PJ of La Dolce Pesca. Perhaps the most looked-forward to event in the wedding planning process is the cake testing. For me, it was just another meeting to mark off of my to-do list and minor decision I had to make – not being a huge fan of cake or cupcakes in the past. But after my experience with PJ and her amazing skill, I am surely a big fan now. More often than not you hear of wedding cakes being dry or tasteless, that one food item that guests will likely turn down or just eat a forkful of and be done. However, to my husband’s, our guests, and my amazement, our cupcake tower (in lieu of a traditional wedding cake) was one of the highlights of the evening! With the cupcake idea we were able to pick an assortment of flavors, we chose two. The pink champagne cupcakes had perfectly matched icing, not so sweet that it overpowered the taste of the cupcake, but instead complemented the flavor perfectly. Trying to stick with a winter/holiday taste palette, the spice cake cupcakes that PJ suggested were excellent. The icing with these mellowed out the spice flavor just enough to create a delectable balance of sugar and zest. Moist and delicious, those cupcakes had our guests going back for more – and more! My husband and I are still asked where those cupcakes can be found…six months after our wedding! That alone speaks volumes. PJ is extremely accommodating when it comes to working with couples - working within our budget was never an issue, taking our taste preferences into consideration was a must for her, and thinking outside of the box when it came to decorating was exactly what we wanted. Each cupcake was topped with edible arrangements of snowflakes and curly willow-like strands – each hand crafted by PJ – that fit our winter theme amazingly well. If you’re aim is to have your guests enjoy the entire wedding experience you’ve spent so much time planning, La Dolce Pesca would be the perfect au’voir for the evening. With each anniversary my husband and I have, I will definitely be going back to PJ to recreate her tasty mini masterpieces…

A notable experience with La Dolce Pesca – couples are able to pick which cake flavor they would like to pair with which icing or filling, and there are several to choose from. Many may be more familiar with bakeries that have predetermined selections (white cake with vanilla or chocolate icing; strawberry filling with only chocolate cake, etc.). La Dolce Pesca allows you to customize a selection to fit your unique preferences. The possibilities are endless, but with the helpful suggestions from PJ the experience is never overwhelming.

Our wedding cake from La Dolce Pesca was not only beautiful it was delicious too! I heard nothing but compliments on the cake and PJ was very easy to work with. My husband and I ate our wedding cake top after returning from our honeymoon because it was so good! Plus, PJ offered to make us a small cake for our one year anniversary!

1-4-10 Update: Our anniversary cake was beautiful & DELICIOUS (& free I might add)! Wow. I can honestly say that we've never had such a moist & tasty cake before. I don't think I was in the state of mind on my wedding day to truly enjoy the cake because, oh my gosh, PJ's cakes are so so good. We practically sat in silence for ten minutes as we enjoyed every bite. Yum.

La Dolce Pesca's cakes are delicious. We chose pink champagne cake with white chocolate mousse filling and devil's food cake with cannoli filling...so tasty! She also made the cutest grooms cake. My husband is a huge Phoenix Suns fan and she made a Steve Nash jersey cake.

I can not say enough about how awesome this was. The cake (and cupcakes) were BEAUTIFUL and delicious and she did it so last minute. Like two weeks. SHE RULES!

PJ was a fun person to work with.I really liked her ideas and she was very flexible with requests.It was a wonderful experience sampling her cakes she is very talented.My wedding cake was breathtaking I loved the attention to detail and the set up.I was so happy to share it with my family.Our delicious wedding cake is definitely something I will want to remember forever.

Our cake tasted wonderful but was not quite what I had envisioned. It was delivered on time though and was priced according to the competition.

PJ did a great job with our cake, it turned out exactly how we wanted it. One of the things that I like about her bakery is that they will make you a mini cake on your one year aniversary so you don't have to freeze the top layer.

The cake that PJ created for our wedding was gorgeous and absolutely delicious! We met with several other bakers and no one was as professional or friendly as PJ. I was afraid that were we to choose the cake based on aesthetic appeal it wouldn't taste good or vise-versa, my fears were unfounded - the pictures are beautiful and everyone was raving about how scrumptious the cake was.
We could hardly wait for our anniversary to pick up the fresh cake PJ made for us so that we didn't have to freeze our top layer!
After our wedding I was able to call PJ to provide a cake for a friend's baby shower and again, she exceeded my expectations with the design of the cake as I had provided her with little input other than colors and a quote that I wanted her to incorporate. Overall I would highly recommend La Dolce Pesca for any bride-to-be!

When I booked PJ I was very excited because her cakes looked and tasted wonderful. Everything went smooth up until the day of my wedding. My cake was horrible it was nothing like any of her other cakes I had seen. You could see the cake through the frosting. The swiss dots and irredesant frosting I requested was not on the cake. The big bow that was supposed to flow down the side was only on the top tier. She ran out of pink fondant on one side and replaced it with a piece of real ribbon that did not match. It was so horrible I made the hotel staff cut it up and take it away as fast as they could so no one could see it. When I told PJ about it she admitted to me that she outsourced the cake due to personal issues. She did refund part of my money and offered to make me an anniversary cake but almost 2 years later and I am still upset about the disaster.

The lady I worked with was so sweet and the cake was delicious. Just make sure if you book her she is really clear on what you want. My cake design was very different from the picture I showed her so just make sure you are clear on exactly what you want. It still tasted good but looked like a cake made for a kid's birthday party.

The owner of La Dolce Pesca was amazing. She designed a stunning cake for our wedding. It was brilliant. She even recreated the top layer for us on our anniversary. The cake was moist and flavorful. It was a white cake with bavarian cream and strawberries. It had buttercream frosting and was accented with fondant ribbons and orchids. I like cake in general, but this was the best cake EVER!

We actually got married 2 years ago and La Dolce Pesca was the company provided to us through them. We were told we would get an anniversary cake because they only make enough cake for the number of guest attending, meaning there would be no extra for us to take home. I was already dissapointed about that. Then I call them up on my 1 year, and they said no problem, submit what kind of cake you want and the date you want it through our contact form online. I did this and never heard from them again. This contact was 2 weeks before our anniversary and I called, and called, left numerous messages and no one ever called me back. They make wonderful cake but this experience ruined my anniversary and any memory of the cake.

With such an impressive portfolio and fantastic word of mouth reviews, my husband and I chose La Dolce Pesca without any other tastings or comparison shopping. The owner, PJ, was very accommodating and our tasting appointment was booked around our busy schedule. At the tasting PJ presented us with four cake flavors and after devouring each piece, we wanted all four in alternating tiers! I showed her my Martha Stewart Weddings inspired cake design that included detailed damask print and multiple square tiers. She worked with me to create a beautiful color combination to suit my wedding style and design. On the day of the wedding PJ was right on time, professional and showcased her creativity! Our florist created an awful, extravagant floral topper that did not suit our beautiful cake. PJ took the topper apart, pulled from another bouquet and created the perfect finishing touch. The cake was amazing in every single way. It looked better than I pictured and tasted delicious. I recommend La Dolce Pesca to everyone for weddings, showers, parties, birthdays or just a sweet something special!

PJ is my sister but I can honestly say that she really makes the best tasting cakes I've had in the Valley. Her flavor combinations always come together so well that you can't go wrong. In addition, she is an artist. Her cakes are beatuful. For my wedding she made a beautiful 3 tier white cake with beatiful purple flowers. It was perfection and tasted absolutely delicous. The guests all loved the cake and the pictures of it look to be straight from a wedding magazine! Thank you la dolce pesca!

I chose La dolce Pesca to make a birthday cake for my mother's 60th surprise birthday party. I was very specific in my design and even paid her extra to help ensure that the cake was made special. The cake that she gave me was no better than a 10 year old's after school project. There were many details that were forgotten, the happy birthday message was one of them. There was holes in the fondant in several places, a really bad patch job, and exposed rice crispy treats that she used for detailing ( even though I ordered cake) and then the cake was served on a piece of cardboard. The cake's flavor was also dissapointing, most of it went uneaten at the party. I emailed the owner to discuss my dissappointment and so far, it has been two weeks and she has completely ignored me. I would definately not reccommend her to anyone for any occassion.
