La Promenade

Our wedding cake & Viennese hour desserts were from La Promenade.
Everything was absolutely great. The wedding cake was exactly how we had discussed, and the cake was delicious. The Viennese desserts were awesome. We had discussed some changes in the dessert selection & they provided everything without a problem. All of our guests enjoyed it. Thank you Julian & the La Promenade staff!

La Promenade did our wedding cake back in may of 2011. We went in for an initial visit to set everything up and it was smooth sailing from there. They were so patient with us alisp aid attention to every last detail. Our cake was absolutely delicious not to mention gorgeous! They did a great job and definitely left us and our guests wanting more!

We had La Promenade make our wedding cake. The cake was beautiful and more importantly absolutely delicious! Everyone there was professional and great to work with.

Julian was great! We scheduled a tasting and the samples were delicious. He was willing to modify one of the designs that was included with our venue. He also made us a groom's cake that was fabulous! I emailed him a picture & they made a wonderful replica of that design. We were so happy with the cakes! Pictures in my photo album!

The Cake looked great the only complaint i have is that when we went in for the tasting they didnt have the fillings we wanted. I just found that to be a bit unprofessional being that they had a 2 week in advance waiting.

I went to La Promenade because they make the cakes for the Brooklake Country Club. I met with Julian and he spent a lot of time going over and letting me taste the different cakes. On the day of our wedding our cake was delicious and super fresh! They did a great job!

La Promenade baked the cake for our wedding in July 2007 - or at least they baked a cake for a wedding somewhere, because it wasn't the one we ordered for ours. It tasted fine, but was the wrong flavor, wrong icing, and wrong filling. The bigger disappointment, though, was their lack of interest in making things right. Rather than offer to refund at least some of the money we had paid in advance (of course) as I would expect an ethical business to do, they offered to give us a small cake for personal consumption. Huh? I can bake a cake for us to enjoy at home, thank you; when you pay for something, you should get it. And if you don't get it, things should be made right.

I've worked with Lori twice now for both my daughter's bat mitzvah and my two sons' b'nai mitzvah, which are like running weddings. She was incredibly responsive and flexible, suggesting different options and ideas while tactfully telling me when she didn't think something would work. Everyone loved the food and La Promenade's cakes are incredible. They were great about giving us tastings of the food and we did separate tastings for the cakes. My daughter had very specific ideas about how she wanted her cake designed to fit with her 'vintage fashion' theme. It came out absolutely gorgeous and delicious at the same time, with different cake fillings on each level of the cake since she couldn't make up her mind! They even made sure we had the top level saved for when we got home.

Lori and the staff at La Promenade are incredible! I've had the pleasure of working with them at several events, and their professionalism, creativity and presentation of the food is exquisite. Whether it is a custom designed special-occasion cake, an intimate dinner party, or a large wedding, La Promenade will exceed your expectations. The food looks great, tastes wonderful and they can customize your menu for special dietary needs.
