La Rose Alterations

I wore my mother's wedding dress from 1962. Although it was pretty much perfect as is, I wanted to make a few changes. Rose and her girls are THE BEST!!! And the cost is unbelievable in value. Everyone told me altering the dress would cost more than buying a new one. Upon hearing how much some people have had to pay just to get their new dresses altered, I was blown away. My groom's outfit ended up costing 3x more than mine!
For my alterations, I had the butt bow removed and brought in a picture of a twist type of bow. I wish I could attach a picture here- The bow Rose created was AMAZING!!! I attached my great grandmother's brooch to the knot which gave it that extra pop. I had the most comments regarding the back of the dress. Such a beautiful modern take on an antique dress. Rose found the perfect material to match the vintage i.e. yellowing of the color of the dress.
Being a dress from the 60s it was a little loose in the hips. Rose slowly and delicately took in the dress on the sides. The end result was a beautiful fitting hourglass shape through the hips.
Rose- Thank you for taking such care of my mother's dress and for helping me make it my own!!! It truly is gorgeous.

I am forever thankful for this alteration shop for saving my wedding dress. After having gone to another wedding alteration shop that ruined my dress 1 week before I was to take my wedding pictures, I came here to refix the mistakes. The owner was professional and did an excellent job! The dress was completed on the day promised, and was even better than I can imagined! She was able to design the bustle to my satisfaction.
