Update - 4 Stars:
I came here to try wedding dresses on, despite the less than stellar experience I had had with my friend, the store itself was nice and I was in the area. As it turned out, I had a very nice experience here. I had one associate who helped me the whole time, the dressing room was beautiful, the selection of dresses was good (not amazing, but not bad), and the sizes were pretty good as there were only a couple that were simply too small for me to try on. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and I plan to come back here during my dress search and decision process.

Original Review - 2 Stars:
Stopped here randomly one day with my friend (she was the bride) while looking for bridesmaid dresses. Beautiful store, very clean and elegant. Dressing rooms were spacious and fantastic. I felt their selection was low, but despite that, we found a dress.

Tried to get the dress for me and other bridesmaids here, but when we got no responses from them (guess they didn't need our business?), we called the Tustin store and they were more than happy to help us out. So we went there instead.

The salon is beautiful and spacious. Second shop for me to try in the search for the prized wedding dress and I was optimistic about my sales associate. I was extremely interested in one of the dresses, however, I inquired as to whether adjustments could be made to the remove some of the detailing on the train and possibly the fabric. Her manager called the designer while I was in the store and I was told I would receive a call back regarding my question. I have yet to hear back, but don't believe it's the right dress for me. The sales associate also suggested I order dresses that I did not "love" and have drastic alterations made through her store, with no promise the dress would look as I would like. All in all, I did not like this approach.

This was the third bridal shop I had been to, and the first one where I found - not just one - but two beautiful dresses that I adored! This was also the first store that I had been to where I felt like a bride and was lavished with attention - all without an appointment! When I walked in without an appointment, Angela graciously took me in and showed me several beautiful options. Angela, by the way, is superb! Seriously, you should make an appointment with her because she is very attentive, makes great selections based upon what you want and your budget (several times she helped steer me away from dresses that were way out of price range), she is funny and very reassuring, and she lets you look at yourself in the mirror as long as you want! Overall, this store gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling, A+!

I went to La Soie for a couple of appts to try on dresses and for jewelry. It is really a nice experience that I think each bride should have.

They give you lots of attention and really attend to you well. The girls that work there are very nice and accommodating. I worked with a sales girl a couple of times who was wonderful - I ended up not getting my dress there as I found it at another store for $800 cheaper and the other store included the alterations. And La Soie would have been $800 more for the dress plus several hundred more than that for alterations.

the manager was quite pushy though - I had the dress on that I was thinking of purchasing and she actually wouldn't let me take it off. I think she was trying to force me to say I would buy it, I kept asking to get out of the dress, to bring my sales person back and she wouldn't, she kept me in the dress for an extra 20 minutes until my bridesmaid finally got really fed up and took me out of the dress while the manager or assistant manager was standing there. That was NOT a good experience.

But other than that. la Soie is a very nice place, a very good experience for brides, I did get all my jewelry there and they were an amazing help matching the tiara and necklace, earrings to my dress. and finding the right veil.

I just recommend, if you do find your dress there.. call around to other stores - I'm sure they have it cheaper (by a lot).

La Soie Bridal has some great dresses to choose from, from a good range in budgets. I easily found one within my budget ($1000-$1500). I also really liked working with the ladies at the Torrance store. Angela was the best - she always remembered me and what I was looking for (I came in multiple times). Anastasia (in the office) was also really good at getting back to me quickly whenever I called or needed to book a fitting. Since, I've recommended them to another bride who went went them as well and used Angela as well.

I purchased my wedding dress here for my March 2009 wedding. It was a La Sposa dress in the $1500 range. Their selection is beautiful and decently priced. This is a great place for those girls who are looking for a bit more high end dress with beautiful details and cuts that will not cost them a fortune. They carry well known designers such as Maggie Sottero, La Sposa, Pronovias, etc. all in a mid-range price.

I loved that the dresses I saw here were more unique and special than those everyone is familiar with at David's Bridal. I also had visited Mon Amie in Orange County and although they carry more higher priced designers (Lazarro, Jim Hjelm, etc) I found the dress designs to be very similar. I also felt less time pressure at La Soie. The dressing rooms are very spacious and the sales girls were very attentive. I worked with both Melanie and Angela and both were friendly and helpful. They also carry great accessories. I would not recommend it for bridesmaids dresses since their selection is small. However, if you are searching for a wedding dress you should visit this store.

I didn't buy my dress here, but I had a great experience trying on dresses here, with Angela. I didn't want to spend over $1500 on a dress and Angela showed me soooo many beauties in that range (some even for under $1000). I'm a picky girl with Fred Segal tastes, so I was really amazed by the quality of dresses in my price range!! The dresses looked very fancy-- lace and beading was exquisite, and the cuts very flattering. Angela had a good sense also of what would look good and what wouldn't, but let me try whatever I wanted and as many dresses as I wanted. I really think I found "the one"!

Also the store itself is clean, elegant and large. The dressing rooms are huge, clean, and swank. It is the kind of place where you'd think the dresses would be overpriced-- but as I mentioned above the prices are excellent. Worth the drive to Torrance!!!

I had a great experience at La Soie. The salesgirls were not pushy at all, and I actually had a lot of fun with them. I loved that they didn't try to push dresses on me... they'd make suggestions but not in an obnoxious way.

I had fallen in love with my dress, originally, at Jobyna's bridal in Glendale... it was 30% cheaper at La Soie.

La Soie is by appointment only, they do so to allow enough time for each bride to try everything they want in the store. The ladies in there were very helpful and gave good recommendations that fits your body, your style and your budget.
