Reviews for La Soie Bridal

I loved my experience at La Soie. There usually aren't very many brides there at one time so the sales girls are a great help.
I bought my dress at another salon and brought my dress to La Soie to get altered. My dress came in 3 months later than expected at the other salon so I was not interested in any more of their services.
Their seamstress is amazing. I only had 1 fitting with her and my dress was perfection.
BTW, the store is beautiful!

My friend (who was the bride) and I visited the La Soie in Torrance, but when they were less than responsive, we contacted this store. We bought all of the bridesmaid dresses here (5 in total, I believe). The associates were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, there were problems.
1. Dresses took longer than expected.
2. 2 of the 5 had problems (one had a snag across the bust which was not repairable, and one had a brooch-type beading on it when we had requested they all be without this and all the others were)
3. Due to having to send one back (they paid for the removal of the beading on the other), it was a very noticeable mis-match in color from the others AND took a very long time to get back (like less than 2 weeks from the wedding!)
These things all seriously stressed my friend out, which was unfortunate since she was stressed enough with the wedding planning! Again, the sales associates were great and did everything they could (and hopefully followed through with not carrying that line anymore) but at the end of the day, my friend was caused unnecessary additional stress and one of the bridesmaids had a different shade dress than the rest of us.
I think they have a great store and are great people, but I'd be careful to order VERY early and/or possibly talk with them about your preferred designer as it may be a difficult one, like ours was.

I loved La Soie! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. There are some bridal stores in the OC that are packed or have snooty employees, but not here. I was so surprised by the unassuming and warm nature of the people here. They allowed me to browse freely without being in my face the whole time, and helped pick out some beautiful dresses once I told them what I was looking for. I fell in love immediately with the first dress I tried on. I tried on a few other beautiful pieces as well. The lady who helped me didn't mind that I wanted to be in the dressing room by myself and told me to let her know whenever I needed help. This boutique store is smaller than a place like Mon Amie, but I thought their selections were prettier and this place is definitely much more organized! Easy to find what you're looking for and get assistance when you need it. Highly recommended!!

I loved my experience at La Soie. I bought my wedding dress and my bridesmaids' dresses at the Tustin location. However, I have gone to both the Tustin and Torrance locations to look. I had such a difficult time trying to find a dress. I looked at about eight stores total and tried on more dresses than I can remember. La Soie was by far my favorite shop, with the spacious fitting rooms, the large selection of dresses, and the friendly, helpful staff.

I loved my experience at La Soie! It was the second place I've gone dress shopping. I've been there twice so far - I initially was eyeing Pronovias Diamante, and they didn't have the dress in the store that day (they have another location in Torrance), so they offered to let me come back the next day to try it on.
The girls who helped me, Sheena and Esther, were genuinely nice and very patient. I was initially a bit scared off of bridal dress shopping in general after reading so many negative reviews for places, but it was great here. The store itself is very spacious and clean, and the dressing rooms are very large and attractive. The samples are in very nice condition, and they have huge selection, which was fantastic. They're also very flexible about how many dresses you can try on (I tried about 10, but they told me some people try on over 25-30), and they were very nice about letting my family take pictures and giving us style names/designers of dresses, along with prices. Awesome service.
I ended up falling in love with a dress from Enzoani's Blue line, instead of the initial Pronovias. I'll update when I make my final decision, but I'm 90% sure I'll buy my dress here.
UPDATE: I ended up ordering my dress from Mariposa as they had the same one for $550 cheaper - but the service here was great!

I got my wedding dress at La Soie in Tustin. The staff at La Soie are very professional, friendly, and are excited for all the brides. They made me feel very comfortable when trying on my dress. It doesn't get too busy here, so it's a nice place to go as compared to the big chains like David's Bridal.

The girl who helped me was very patient, she let me take my time with each dress and I tried on about 10. However she didn't really go find others that I might like or give me much advice except to pressure me into ordering one.
The store itself is very nice and the dressing rooms are huge and private. They have a great selection, but things are really crammed in, so you have to almost take each one out.

The only reason why I picked La Soie is because of its proximity to my home. I could have gotten a better deal and service elsewhere. They eventually let me negotiate a price for my dress that was more in line with what other stores were selling it for, so I went ahead and bought it from them. However, they said that they clean and steam the dress before the wedding, which turned out to be just a steam, and I was led to believe that their alterations would be reasonable, but they were not.
