We ordered our chocolate favors from Lake Champlain and what a great choice! Their chocolates are delicious and our guests loved them. We ordered a few varities in bulk to give our guests a nice assortment - chocolates of Vermont, milk & dark coins, and milk & dark hearts. Their chocolates are a little pricey so if you have the budget for it then it's totally worth it. And during certain times of the year their shipping prices are outrageous so make sure to look out for this. I ordered from Amazon to save money on shipping, but when I went back to order more I noticed they had taken them off Amazon and the only choice was to order directly from Lake Champlain.....and pay the overpriced shipping. Luckily we had some leftovers so we are still enjoying them!

Unfortunately during the warmer summer months, we do have to ship any chocolates outside of New England overnight. We've found that's the only way to ensure they don't arrive melted (oftentimes, we even include ice packs!).

Yum! Yum! Yum! We did goody baskets of chocolates for our out of town guests in their rooms. We ordered everything through Lake Champlain. We have family in Vermont, so we have been a big fan of this company for years, even before you could buy it in NC. Their truffles are the best.

I can't say enough about how great they are. They worked with me when my date got moved so that my chocolates arrived fresh packed. When they did arrive they where bubble wrapped and packed with Nordic Ice containers wrapped to prevent any possible dripping. You could have tossed the box down a flight of stairs and left them out on the doorstep all day the chocolates wouldn't have been messed up. I even got a free sampler of their gourmet truffles which where wonderful. I think I will get those for Christmas gifts now. The chocolate hearts (I got some milk chocolate some dark and some dark with mint) where a huge hit and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for favors. They are worth every penny you will spend.

We chose the Vermont sampler for our wedding favors and they were a huge hit! It was the first wedding I've been to where the favors were fought over and none were left behind on the tables. Delicious chocolate and gorgeous presentation! We bought chocolate hearts and a few wrapped chocolate squares (for kosher guests). Order was rapid and shipping was marvelous, in an insulated bag since it was summer.
A recommendation is to get your own organza bags in bulk online and fill them yourself to save your budget.

I want to ship to an address in the United States, but I live in another country. Can I still order?
Absolutely! Call our Customer Service Center at 1-800-465-5909 and we will be happy to help you!
Do you ship chocolate outside of the United States?
We limit our shipments to the 50 United States. Our experiences with international gift taxes and customs delays as well as refused and returned packages have forced us to institute this policy. Chocolate can also melt in transit, and this is more likely when shipped outside the United States.
Do you do make custom gift baskets and chocolates?
For large volume orders, we can tie a customer-supplied ribbon or sticker, or include a customer-supplied item within one of our baskets. Lead time runs 3-6 weeks from time of approval. Contact our corporate sales department at corpsales@lakechamplainchocolates.com for more information.

What kind of chocolate do you use?
All of our chocolates are crafted from Belgian chocolate.
How long will my chocolate last?
When properly stored, solid milk chocolate will last approximately nine months and solid dark chocolate will last approximately one year. Filled chocolates, such as truffles and pralines, will last approximately two to four months.
Do your chocolates have allergens in them such as soy, nuts, dairy, and gluten?
All of our chocolates contain soy lecithin. The only exceptions are our cocoa products. Some of our products contain nuts, dairy, and gluten. It varies by product. We cannot guarantee that any of our products are entirely free of trace amounts of these ingredients. All of our chocolates are manufactured in the same factory with the same equipment, which could pose the risk of cross-contamination. We will be happy to assist you with the ingredients or nutritional information on any of our chocolates. Please email info@lakechamplainchocolates.com for assistance.
Are any of your chocolates kosher? Are they pareve?
Our dark chocolate is both kosher and milk-free, containing only cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter (which is not a milk derivative), soy lecithin, and vanilla. We do not add milk to our dark chocolate. All dark chocolate & dark chocolate mint items (bars, hearts, squares, and coins) as well as the dark chocolate almond bars and the Select Origin dark chocolate squares, are dairy-free.
All of our products are certified Star-D Kosher by the National Council of Young Israel in affiliation with Star-K Kosher Certification, with the exception of our hot chocolate, unsweetened cocoa, and Tanzanian Chocolate Sauce. You may check the full listing of our Kosher products on their website at www.star-k.org. Due to the manufacturing process, we cannot guarantee that any product is entirely free of minute traces of dairy, as there is a potential for cross-contamination. This prevents our products from being pareve.
