Lani Elizabeth Fine Design in Flowers

I will admit that Lani Elizabeth's flowers are nice and full. But there is more to it than just that. I've met with several other florists and I didn't find Lani Elizabeth particularly friendly or warm. They're all about business. They have a nice studio in Los Gatos with some cool flat screen to project the flower pictures so we could collectively discuss them.

The quote came--a bit on the pricey side, but to be expected as their arrangements are full. We had several phone calls as I had questions about the quote, so we were in discussions about my flowers. Then the craziness began when Elizabeth and I started "phone-tagging" after all those discussions. I finally reached her about 1-2 wks later to finalize my quote when she told me she had booked another bride on my wedding day and couldn't work with me anymore!! Seriously--after all those conversations. Other vendors I've worked with had the courtesy to tell me that another bride was interested in that date so I would be aware. Not this vendor. While I had been considering them as a vendor, out of the blue, after many conversations and then many "missed" phone calls and unreturned phone calls, they tell me they have already booked another bride! Like I said before, they're all about business and probably booked that bride because the job was bigger. I know the economy is tough out there, but have the courtesy to directly tell a bride you're working with that there is another bride that may be interested in the same day and return my calls! All you brides out there--beware of getting trumped by a bigger floral job if you're talking to LE.

On a different note aside from customer service, I felt that LE doesn't have expertise on flowers. They only know what looks good. From the multiple other florists I talked to, they all told me this one flower bruised easily and that they would never use it. LE didn't tell me anything about that and were going to use it. I don't know much about flowers, but when 4 out of 5 florists won't use it, and LE will--it tells me something about their flower knowledge.

My wedding was held on June 27 09 and what I can say about my flowers for my wedding was that they were EXACTLY how I envisioned them. I gave Elizabeth several swatches of colors that I would be using and sent her inspirational pictures and they really pulled it off, better than I had hoped for! I didn't want to be without my bouquet and in fact, my photographer had to ask my to keep lowering it for the pictures! I didn't even part with it for the bouquet toss...I just stole one of my bridesmaids' bouquets! I don't know what else to say except that you can't go wrong with such a talented team! Thanks guys!

Lani Elizabeth recently created the floral design for my wedding in May. They worked closely with me to ensure that I had the arrangements that I desired. They produced amazing centerpieces, bouquets, and ceremony decorations that lasted well beyond my wedding day. They did a particularly nice job of decorating a fountain which was the backdrop to the front of the aisle. My pictures of the space are wonderful and many guests complimented the decor.

They also worked with me to keep costs down. They were extremely professional and helpful on the day of and I highly recommend them.

The flowers and decor were so much more than I thought they would be. The bouquets were beautiful and had so many flowers in them. We had flowers on the cocktail tables as well as on the dining tables. They were gorgeous and very substantial. They were worth every penny. The huge urn at the church full of flowers was definetely a centerpiece of the ceremony. They were so creative with our ideas and I did not have to pick every petal. I gave them the concepts and the colors and they created! They included elements that I would have never thought to combine and they turned out beautifully. They truly are artists.

One of the things that I appreciated the most about Lani and Elizabeth was that they were willing to work around my low/mid level floral budget. And when my ideas began to soar outside of my price range, they worked with me to come up with some alternate concepts that were within my budget instead of just going with my vision and slapping me with a surprise bill down the line.

All in all, the flowers were stunning and they didn't break the bank. I would definitely recommend Lani Elizabeth Fine Design in Flowers to any bride.

I had a limited flower budget for my wedding, but the flower arrangements and simple table-scapes they created were just lovely and perfect for the occasion of my New Year's Eve wedding. I could not have been happier with my floral designs, all thanks to Lani and Elizabeth. We had a fall wedding and the colors we choose were classic autumn colors. The flowers they found were exquisite! The ideas they presented and final products they produced FAR exceeded my expectations. We received so many compliments on our flowers. They designed the bridal bouquet, all attendants flowers, pieces for the church as well as decorated my wedding cake. It was all breathtaking. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
