We requested appetizers and an open bar cocktail hour, a seated dinner for 207 guests with an open bar and wine/champagne service during dinner, as well as assistance with serving the cake. The food was perfectly cooked and the right temperature. I don't know how they delivered this with a seated dinner of that size, but I can't imagine the food being any better. Guests have been raving to me about how it was the best wedding steak they have ever had. I would recommend them to anyone. Very professional and on top of it. Expensive but worth it for the best.

We used Larkin's on the River as our caterer because they owned our venue, Larkin's Saw Mill. We could not have been happier. Billy, our contact, was out of this world when it comes to customer service and personal attention. We could email him and get a response within a few hours. He constantly went out of his way to make sure our day was a special event. The venue was beautiful on it's own but they have serious attention to detail that made my job, as the bride, so much easier. I would recommend this caterer/venue to absolutely anyone.

Larkin's was absolutely wonderful to work with. Not only were they always able to meet with us when we needed/wanted to prior to the wedding but our reception was incredible because of their staff and the service we were provided. The food was delicious and we could not have been any happier with how we were treated!

We chose Larkins and worked with Kristina. Kristina managed to meet our expectations. Some of things are being customized. The food was delicious! I would recommend Larkins.

As a full time grad student, I didn't have much time to focus on all the little details. With Larkin's, I didn't have to worry about a thing! They are event experts and made sure that everything was perfect. We had a small (~60 ppl) reception in the Cabaret Room. The room was gorgeous and the service was great. The guests raved about the food! Thelma even taught us how to Wobble. :-) My one and only complaint was that a planned change to the buffet menu didn't happen. The roasted potatoes were delicious, but I really had my heart set on mashed potatoes.

We are out-of-towners, so it was extremely important for us to have a reliable and professional venue, that would just take charge of any situation. We had a wonderful experience with Kimberly, and others as they led us through every step of the process. We learned that not all venues in Greenville are as professional as you might expect, so it was a real relief to work with such real pros. Once our side of the planning was done, all the ideas, table arrangements, and rental item decisions were made, we knew that they would just make it happen and they did! Our wedding was a complete success, and we didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. Thanks to Kimberly, Christina, Michelle, and all the staff who made our cocktail hour and reception absolutely unforgettable for us and our guests!!

Loved this place. Not only for planning purposes was this venue agreeable, they were able to be so flexible with my situation! The staff was professional from the beginning. They followed up with email and phone conversations. The day of my reception they were gracious enough to stay on the phone with me for almost an hour as I navigated downtown greenville. I totally told everyone south main instead of north main. They made me little nightmare go away! They vale parking was the BEST THING EVER! The food was great, the staff that night at my reception dinner was hospitable and helped the night flow. Thank you Larkins on the River for being amazing!

We had our reception in the Wyche Pavillion at Larkins on the River. Wow was it beautiful! It got even better later into the evening as the chinese laterns were swaying in the breeze. Billy was who I mainly worked with and he was the best! From the very first phone conversation to the end, he was nice, professional, flexible, and very informative. He even took care of my small bar tab after I told him how long my mother-in-law had to wait for her valet. The only negative that I will say is that I had a candy bar as my favor. At the very end, two waiters helped themselves to the candy bar. I alerted Billy to this situation. They even gave us two wine glasses as a gift! Thanks for great food, service, and a magical day to remember!

Larkins on the River helped to make my special day one to remember. My guests are still raving about the wonderful food. The staff were so nice and very accommodating on my wedding day!

Larkins was a great choice to do my wedding catering. Christina was extremely responsive and helpful in my decision making process. I was very satisfied with my food and beverage choices, as well as the decor provided by Larkins. My guests were quite pleased with the food and I was so thankful for the attention to detail Larkins provided. They made the day run smoothly and effortlessly. I highly recommend Larkins for both catering and venue options.

Larkins provided quality service and flexibility. We had to change the venue at the last minute due to weather and they met the challenge. Some of the servers were a bit "snappy" when it was time for the wedding guests to be served, but the guests took it in stride. The food was good and fresh and enjoyed by all. Overall, I would definitely recommend them and have no reservations with my recommendation.

We used the Shirley Roe Cabaret Room for our wedding reception. It was absolutely wonderful! The food was amazing and people loved it. The staff was wonderful and made sure everything went smoothly. Planning was a breeze with them because they got to know us and knew exactly what we wanted! Anytime we wanted something changed, they gladly changed it. The room was absolutely beautiful! Every detail was perfect. We are very glad that we chose Larkin's to host our special day!

Contacted them for a quote for my reception. Prices were competitive but not real flexible for what I wanted.

Our reception was held at the Wyche Pavilion and it was like a fairy tale. Everything was what we expected and then some. We didn't get to taste any of the food, but the guests were raving about it. Thank you so much for all you did!

We used Larkins as our catering company and they were amazing! The food was delicious, the presentation was flawless and the entire presentation and event went so smoothly with their help. Kimberly was always available when I had questions either through email, phone or a personal meeting. They were willing to customize anything to fit your own unique style. I would absolutely recommend Larkins for any future brides :)

Well Larkins did both the rehersal and the reception and both were great!! The staff is awesome and went above and beyond.. I was very thrilled with them. I wouyld use them again. I must say I had never been there to eat, but I think I will go there for dinner soon.

Larkins was absolutely amazing! Everything that I wanted, they were able to do. They even helped me save money on linens and chairs! Anytime we wanted to change something, they were very flexible. They executed the event without anything going wrong. They knew us (bride & groom) by our first names and were very willing to go above and beyond for us. As for food, only one word......PHENOMENAL! Truly, the good was amazing. Not one person complained and they LOVED it! The shrimp and risotto lollipops are the best! Talk about knowing how to throw a party! Leave it up to Billy and Christina and they will throw you the best party ever!!

When I went to see the venue and signed the contract I was pleased. I was assured of certain wants and needs. I was in contact with my planner constantly.
They allowed us to do a tasting which I would recommend because we had to switch a few items out. Also, they under cook the meat...so I would not recommend getting beef because it was raw both nights.
Also, they did not set up the room in a timely manner in order for me to set up for the wedding. I was happy and pleased until the two days prior when I had to deal with them on a constant basis. Also, at the ceremony some of my guests showed up that RSVP'ed no and one of the planned yelled at my mother for not having the guest count!! But when we looked in the audience people had skipped seats etc... so instead of asking people to scoot down the planner yelled at my mother on the wedding day.
Also, with the bar...we requested kegs behind the counter and weer told no then a few weeks before the wedding we found out that they were allowing another couple to have kegs at their wedding. Also, my husband's mom paid for a set amount open bar and the contract said no shots allowed. The bartenders had been letting people take shots and just told the people not to tell anyone....the venue it's self is nice and the food is good. I think they need a staff change and maybe more understanding of what brides and their families go through to try to make things run smoothly.

My wedding reception was held in the Cabaret room - an exposed old brick room with high ceilings and a large wooden bar which was just amazing! It had the masculine feel I wanted for my husband, but a very invited, warm feel I wanted for myself. The space was perfect, I never felt crammed in (I had a buffet, dj, dance floor, welcome area/guest book table, cake and toasting section, AND 10 tables!) The staff were exceptionally nice and the food was delicious. The planning portion was very friendly and open to my difficult demands (beer to toast with due to husbands allergies!), and were very easy to contact when needed. Overall, it was a phenominal experience and did not have a single worry all night!

We had Larkins as our caterer. The food was truly scrumptious! Our guests could not stop talking about it. The staff were very gracious and professional. They were also very flexible. We had an outdoor reception and we weren't sure if it was going to rain.They worked with us and were able to roll with the punches. The event went smoothly. It was perfect!

We all walk by there at least once in a while, but to actually get married there is another. The folks at Larkins were right on time with the set up/decorations. It looked great and wouldn't change a thing. I highly recommend using this beautiful venue for your wedding.

Our wedding could not have been any better. We were extremely happy with everything. We had our ceremony outside in the Courtyard and the reception inside on the 3rd floor in the Cabaret Room.
Billy Watson was wonderful to work with prior to the wedding date. He rented all the equipment we would need (chairs, dance foor, etc.), worked with us to create the best posiible menu for Todd and I and our guest, was very professional and was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had.

The day of the wedding, the staff at Larkin's were outstanding, providing great service and seemed very happy to be apart of our wedding day. The food and drink were way beyond any expectations. LOTS of our guest have commented of how wonderful the food was, they were in no way expecting what they got! That of course makes us happy, because it helped our guest enjoy our wedding day too! Of course Todd and I were too busy during the wedding, we didnt have alot of time to eat...let alone taste the food...no worries, Larkin's had packed a huge bag of food to go and sent it to the hotel room we were staying in that night (even including a piece of cake)!

I have only wonderful things to say about Larkin's on the River. A beautiful venue, wonderful people, outstanding food!

The reason I gave this a 3.8 is because we had to switch event planners in the middle which made things quite confusing. The actual day turned out to be great...it was just hard to get in touch with them sometimes.

We used the Wyche Pavilion for the ceremony and reception. After much deliberation, we figured out what part of the Pavilion we wanted to stand for the ceremony, and the tables were arranged accordingly.

When we told them all we were serving was cake and tea, they offered to cut the cake for us for a fee per slice; we refused, but the day of the wedding one of the staff did end up cutting the cake for no charge.

Larkin's was so great to work with. The wedding was beautiful and we got so many wonderful comments from our guests about how beautiful the building was, and how delicious the food was. Kimberly was very helpful during the planning process, and allowed me to make many changes. I would recommend Larkin's to anyone getting married, you won't be able to find a more gorgeous place.

Gorgeous venue with excellent catering and a very helpful staff! We had our ceremony in the courtyard followed by a reception in the Wyche Pavilion. Both parts of the wedding were perfect! The courtyard is a great location for an intimate wedding ceremony at a very affordable price, and I can think of no better venue for a wedding reception than the awesome Wyche Pavilion. From the very beginning, Kimberly was there to not only make recommendations but also to listen to my ideas and incorporate them every step of the way. Larkin's also provides a fabulous catering service - my guests can't stop talking about how great the food was and how much food was actually there to enjoy! We were initially upset about not being able to purchase and bring in our own alcohol to cut down on costs; but there are several beverage packages to choose from, and the bar service was great! The wedding day went extremely smoothly and the staff at Larkin's executed everything beautifully! Highly recommend!!

Larkins is a beautiful venue. We had our beautful ceremony outside in their quaint courtyard and our 85 guests simply walked up the steps to our reception. The ceremony with the exposed brick gave a Charleston-like feeling in downtown Greenville. Overflowing waterfalls gave a perfect backdrop for ceremony pictures. The food was impeccable. The ambiance was cozy and rustic. The exposed beams gave our room character. The linens and the staff were wonderful. I would highly recommend them.

Holding my wedding ceremony and reception at Larkin's on the River was the best decision we could have made. The staff, everyone from the event coordinator to the waitstaff, was incredible. Their attention to detail was impeccable and they took great care and me and our guests. The food was amazing, nothing like what you would get another wedding. The locations they have available are stunning and need very little to set the scene for your dream wedding. I recommend them to everyone and could not thank them enough for the incredible job they did!!!

Kimberly and the staff at Larkin's made our wedding day the perfect day. No matter what our request, they followed through. The catering was amazing, no shortage of food, and they sent us home with bags to eat later that night. The decor from Larkin's was beautiful, and included flowers and lighting that helped set the stage. The venue is the perfect location and we would not have changed anything. The staff was very supportive and helpful and made the evening flawless. The wedding was so wonderful I wish we could go through it again. Although I was stressed (as any typical bride) the staff helped me realize the important aspects and helped me relax. I would and have recommended this staff and venue to others looking for event space and wedding locations. I appreciate all that they did! It was absolutely beautiful!

This was my reception venue, in the Shirley Roe Cabaret Room. Billy and Christine made everything perfect. They really wanted to take the stress off you and do whatever they could to make your vision come true--with the least amount of work for the bride! They were truly wonderful to work with and the venue was so romantic! I highly recommend using Larkins!

Everyone told me how delicious the food was that night and they are still talking about it 8 months later. Most weddings I go to, the food is only average. Larkins’ selection was amazing and they totally worked with me to create a mix of items I wanted that were not on their normal buffet choices. They totally let you create whatever you want and are great to work with. The prices are reasonable and they will cater to your every need.
Wyche Pavilion is by far the most amazing venue in Greenville, SC. The history of the old coach factory is amazing and the exposed brick is absolutely beautiful. Larkins was fantastic to work with. They handled every detail from chair rentals to food to alcohol to set up and break down. Kristina is amazing to work with. She literally gets it all done.

Larkins was great. They have such a beautiful venue and all of our guests from New York were very impressed with Greenville. It is right in the heart of downtown and the Hampton Inn is so close for guests to stay. There were only a few minor glitches in that the person we set everything up with was not the same person that was setting up our event. This created a few miscommunication errors. Everyone was very nice though, and the venue is unbelievable. The food was amazing and everyone loved it. You can get extravagant deals on catering or affordable, which was a nice option. We really enjoyed it and it was all we dreamed it would be and more.

This is an EXTREMELY beautiful venue and the "one stop shop" they provide by doing everything from linens to bartender to catering to chairs, etc. is a huge load off of a bride's mind.

We got married in the ballroom on the third floor of the restaurant and then went outside to the outdoor Pavilion. I would recommend getting the full greenery package as well as the chinese lantern package. This venue is absolutely beautiful at night with everything lit in soft candlelight and the lanterns overhead!

The food was fantastic and the presentation was beautiful! This is truly one of the most beautiful places in Greenville!

The only negative thing about this type of venue is that it costs a little more because you can't buy anything outside of Larkin's. For example, if you wanted to buy wine at the discount/bulk stores and get a better deal you can't do that. But I will say that it was a very stress free and much more of a simple way to do it if you have the means to do so.

We really didn't have any stress knowing that everything would be taken care of.

Incredible! We were supposed to have our ceremony outdoors and our reception in the pavillion. Unfortunately, it rained horribly on our wedding day. The people at Wyche were thoroughly prepared, and brought everything inside Larkin's for a beautiful ceremony. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, our servers were very nice. The location is beautiful!

With several places to host your wedding and reception on their grounds, the Pavilion is by far our favorite place. The view is one of a kind. The history of the building, exposed bricks and view of the river is next to none. The staff is very helpful. The food is amazing!

We do many events for Larkins and from the venue to the catering you will be totally impressed! The decor in the many locations just makes a wedding day very special. I have spoken with many of my brides and all have been very happy from the first time visiting to their wedding day. The staff are some of the most professional I have ever worked with. Visit Larkins and you will simply be impressed!

A beautiful location inside and out at the Wyche Pavillion. Wonderfully attentive to the brides wishes. Excellent food! We know we will always get great shots when the wedding or reception is at Larkins!

We've done so many events with Larkins and their staff is always so helpful and professional. It's a beautiful site and a good one to work with from a planner's point of view.
