Reviews for Laura Miller Design

EDIT:
Happy when I met her, unhappy on my wedding day!
It pains me to know that I had to run into a vendor like this. During our meetings, she seemed like she would/could deliver. I am the type of bride that will outline everything that I want so there is no room for mistake. Laura even acknowlege this trait and was thankful for my organization because through that, she knew EXACTLY what I wanted! I really don't want to get too into it because it just gets my blood pumping so I am going to just have to bullet note this...
- CAKE TABLE - I reluctantly paid $300 for roses for my cake and a thick bed of rose petals for the table. The rose petals were suppose to act like a table linen. Not one spec of table was to be shown. When I walked into the cake table room.... what did I see? A bare table with about 20 rose petals scattered across! Unacceptable!
- MY BOUQUET was lopsided!!! She told me I had to hold it a certain way or else the front will look odd. WHAT?! R u kidding me. I also ordered feathers to be placed at the base of my bouquet. But what did I get?.... Feathers you could buy at a local craft store that was randomly scattered throughout my bouquet.
- BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS - Where a half dome. I ordered a ball.
- GROOM BOUT - Ordered two orchids, he only got one. Which by the way was the wrong orchid.
- CRYSTALS - I hand made about 75 crystal stems for Laura to put into the flowers for the low centerpieces. We dropped them off a few days before the wedding. For some odd reason, she thought she didn't have to include them. Instead she told me at the hotel the morning of that she didn't want to use them and left them with my DOC!!
- I paid (5) $125 for a full balls of roses... what did I get? A flat "almost" half dome. The guest referred to them as the "flat centerpieces"
- When she came to my hotel to drop off the bouquets... she was very rude. She gave me directions on how to hold my bouquet so it wont be lopsided and then she walked away.... and then she quickly turned around and said "Oh, and about the crystals you dropped off, yea, we didn't use them!" and then walked away!
During my honeymoon, I decided to email her in hopes that she can find a way to rectify this matter.... don't worry. She didn't. She offered me 150 measly dollars for her mistakes! She said I hardly paid her anything. Ugh, so is she saying my $3600 bill was hardly anything?! WOW! I take offense to that! I'm done. I'm disgusted and I will never recommend this vendor to anyone. I actually ran into one of Laura Miller's clients. She recently married this year and turns out she was very unhappy with her service and product.
If you know what's good for you... don't book with Laura. I never had a problem with any of my vendors. In fact, great relationships have taken place except for ONE! I'm sad it had to be with Laura!
HOWEVER, I did give Laura 1 star. She did an amazing tall centerpiece for me =) Too bad I only ordered 5 of those =(
I did however rate her 1 star because of the gorgeous

Laura is amazing and I would highly recommend her in a second! She is extremely artistic with great ideas, so I felt like I was in good hands. She's very knowledgeable about what is available during different seasons, has a ton of pictures for ideas, and can work with whatever thoughts you bring to the table. She also gives different options in different price brackets, so there is flexibility in how much it all costs. I am very indecisive, especially when it comes to details like flowers colors, etc., and Laura was so patient with me! She is such a sweet person too. The flowers for the wedding turned out beautiful ... buttery yellow with shades of purple with greenery and herbs mixed in. A friend of mine getting married in December decided at my wedding to hire Laura for sure also after seeing how well my bouquets, centerpieces, etc. turned out!

We found Laura Miller through a recommendation from our photographer (who we loved). The first thing we liked about her was that she asked our budget immediately and kept it in mind during our initial consultation. She never tried to over-sell us or tell us that our budget (which was modest) was unworkable. (Another florist we met with never asked our budget, then sent us a crazy proposal that was quadruple what we wanted to spend!)During our meeting with her, Laura asked what our vision was, what my favorite flowers were, what I didnt like and assured me that these were what she would work with and/or avoid. She said wouldnt choose anything else without checking with us or pick up something just because it was on sale. She totally got what we were looking for and executed it beautifully. Lauras creative vision is amazing! We were going for an Old Hollywood glam feel, and she really understood what we were looking for. We showed her photos of what we had in mind for centerpieces and bouquets and she recreated them with her own personal spin (and again, on our budget). She also had great ideas of her own, including adding feathers to our flower-girl bouquets, which I didnt think I would be into, but ended up loving!Overall, our wedding-day flowers were breathtaking. Our guests constantly commented that they would never have known our flowers were done on a budget because they were so unique and beautiful. And Laura was great to work with she kept in constant communication and was dedicated to making sure our flowers were a reflection of our vision for the day. If we had it to do all over again, we would use Laura Miller in a heartbeat!

My flowers were so beautiful. Laura did a fantastic job and I'd highly recommend - mostly because she was able to deliver what I needed in not a very large budget. Working within a budget is so important but to do so and make everything so lovely is a terrific gift.

I love Laura! She was awesome to work with throughout the whole process and when I was having serious bouquet doubts the day before she was supposed to place the order, she talked on the phone with me for an hour to make sure she understood my vision (or lack thereof). She was so comforting and confident and after that conversation I knew I didn't have to worry anymore. When our personal flowers arrived in our hotel room, I was stunned. They were GORGEOUS! The bouquets far surpassed my expectations. The ceremony manzanita arrangements were gorgeous, as was everything else. Laura also provided extra flowers for unforeseen touches- such as putting blooms on the fireplace mantle and in the alcove where our framed engagement picture was. The cake flowers were also incredible. I hope I get to throw another event in the Bay Area just so I can hire Laura to do the florals!
Laura Miller is a flower genius. The Mozart of marigolds. The Einstein of orchids. The Newton of narcissus. The Copernicus of calla lilies. She's smart, friendly, fun, creative, reliable and experienced. I heartily and enthusiastically endorse Laura Miller.
Laura Miller makes the most gorgeous floral arrangements and bouquets! I couldn't stop taking photos of her elegant floral creations at the wedding. I highly recommend contacting her for your wedding!
