Laurie was an absolute pleasure to work with. My flowers were a hit! Everyone's jaw literally dropped as they walked into the venue. Beautiful high centerpeices all perfectly arranged! She will work with you over stories of her family and her contagious laugh to help you come up with the most perfect centerpeice for your wedding. I trusted her SO MUCH! I don't know anything about flowers and I just gave her a vague idea and a price range and she really delivered. My flowers were more beautiful that I could have ever imagined. From my bridal bouquet, to the bridesmaids bouquet, arrangements for my home, the church pews decorated...shes truly an artist in every sense of the word. I highly recommend Laurelwood for any wedding or event. She even did my shower! A beauitful fall arrangements as centerpeices to compliment the fall theme! Laurie was such a pleasure to work with. We sat together chatting for almost two hours during our first meeting. She immediately knew what I was looking for and was able to make some really great suggestions to help bring my ideas to life (and to stay within my budget). She or someone from her staff answered emails quickly and they were always professional and courteous. Laurie provided some beautiful decorations for my parents' house for the wedding day as well. When I saw my flowers on the wedding day, I was floored by how beautiful everything looked. It was all even better than I imagined. And the centerpieces were STUNNING. Laurie was fantastic. Her flowers were beautiful and exactly what I wanted. She was also one of the most creative florists I met with. The flowers were fresh and lasted a couple weeks. Her prices are very reasonable and she works with you to stay within budget. There was one small issue with the corsages the day of the wedding but it was immediately rectified by Laurie's staff. I would highly recommend Lauralwood for your event.

After visiting 2 other florists/event designers, Laurelwood was a dream come true. They were able to offer me everything that I wanted at a very reasonable price. Laurelwood Designs was recommended to me by a couple of friends. Laurie and her team did a fantastic job during the planning phase and on the big day. Laurie was patient and flexible as I had many ideas, changes and requests. She not only did my flowers, but also did the ceremony decor and rented the aisle runner for me. She also looked into renting special chairs for our reception. They were very pleasant to work with, responsive (through both emails and phone calls) and professional. I couldn't be happier with the way the flowers and ceremony decor turned out. And our guests raved about them too!

From day 1 when we met with Laurie, I knew she was going to give us the wedding flowers of my dreams (let's face it, men don't care about the flowers). Prior to this, I had gone to two other florists, who 1-were not passionate and 2 - just pulled random prices out of the sky. Laurie's excitement and love for flowers and weddings cliqued right away with us. My mother and I left the florist and I could not wait to call back and send the contract back signed. When we went up to see the mock centerpiece she had made for us, I was completely blown away. It was everything I had wanted. The day of the wedding, the bouqets looked incredible. When my husband and I were given a sneak peak at our ballroom, I did not even have words. Laurie completly transfromed the room to make it "our wedding". It was not just another venue at that point. Even when decorating our cake with the most beautifully placed flowers, Laurie handled it with talent and ease. We also found Laurie to be very honest when it came to pricing. When we first met with her, it was not one of those appointments where they take notes and two weeks later email you with a price. Laurie worked out the numbers right there and showed us where every one of our dollars was going. It was a pleasure working with Laurelwood Designs and would gladly recommend them to anyone I know planning a wedding!!

Laurie is a sweetheart. She and her assistant Liz are such a pleasure to work with. They were so understanding from day 1, when I called frantically three months before the wedding, announcing that the florist recommended by my reception venue double-booked herself for a bigger wedding and canceled my engagement. Laurie has a very nice artistic eye, and was generous with her time for the two times that I visited. I brought a bunch of scrapbook paper samples from Michaels to her, so she even helped me design my place cards, gave me so many ideas, and inspired me to design my own ceremony programs, menus, and table numbers to match the motif of the place cards. Their prices are also very reasonable compared to her peers of similar quality (I’m not talking about random neighborhood florists with little artistic sense). Everything was itemized. I spent just under $2,500 for 11 beautiful, sprawling centerpieces, and flowers for everyone in my bridal party including the ushers, mothers, fathers, and 1 grandparent. It also included a sample centerpiece, so that I could make a few tweaks before Laurie and her team put together the final product. Everything was exactly the way I wanted them. The one thing that was a bit inconvenient was that I had an extremely tight morning schedule, and the early morning flower delivery to my bridal suite was a few minutes late, which caused quite a last-minute stir, as my bridesmaids rushed about, delivering boutonnieres and corsages to all the different rooms. But my guess is that it’s a random fluke, and that their delivery service is outsourced.

What can I say? Laurelwood Designs is simply amazing! We used them for our wedding on 4.22.12 and from the moment we met with Laurie, we knew she was the right choice for us. Mind you, we met with 4 other vendors prior to going to her as a recommendation from two other friends that used her in the past. We are not disappointed. She was even able to create a floral arrangement out of a picture of the monogram that we sent to her! So unique, so classic. From the bouquets to the petals down the aisle, Laurie and her team really captured everything we were hoping for. THIS is the definitely the florist that you want to go to for your wedding needs! She is professional, kind and can take a VISION and make it REALITY.

Laurie was the only one that made me feel truly comfortable. She understood my aesthetic and I was confident that she would be able to execute all that I envisioned. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable and patient. A couple of months before my wedding, I began second-guessing some of my design choices. Laurie sat with me again and helped me reevaluate my decisions and guided me in selecting a color scheme that would complement my venue. She even helped me choose the linens! Laurie is PHENOMENAL! From the first meeting I had with her, i was sure that she was the one who could pull together everything i had envisioned in my mind! I worked with Laurelwood Designs for my July 2011 wedding. Laurie and her wonderful assistant were an absolute joy to work with. Their patience during the changes I made was much appreciate. On the day of my wedding, I was floored with how beautiful the bouquets were and as well as the corsages and boutinners. The flowers were fresh and lasted over a full week after the wedding! The design work of the bouquets and bouts was artistic yet classic and flawless. I got so many compliments on the flowers and when I received my professional photos I once again marvelled at how lovely everything looked. Response time was also fast and while planning a wedding which can be very stressful, Laurelwood made floral decisions a breeze. Even the delivery person was so sweet and personable on the day of the wedding and she seemed to share in the joy and excitement of the day as well. The entire Laurelwood team is top notch!

Laurie, owner of Laurelwood Designs, is fabulous. She took the thoughts and ideas that my husband and I had and she turned our wedding into a beautiful masterpiece. Our outdoor ceremony site was simply gorgeous with the floral arrangements, shephard's poles and petals that she provided, our ceremony site was stunning with the floral combinations that Laurie and her staff created. Working with Laurie was simply a dream as well, she is so easy-going and truly wants to make each event unique and special for each bride. After my wedding was all said and done, I feel like I not only met a terrific florist/vendor, but that I made a friend too.

Laurie Lutrell created the most beautiful chuppah we have ever seen! Not only was it amazing, but she managed to find real branches of cherry blossoms for the chuppah and the floral arrangements! This was no small coup as the wedding was on June 12! All of our friends thought that the flowers were the most outstanding they have ever seen at a wedding. She really outdid herself. Laurie created the wedding of my new daughter's dreams. Mere words cannot express the joy we all felt. Laurie is indeed an artiste par excellence! You will definitely be more than satisfied!

Laurelwood is the best vendor! Laurie had really good ideas on what to do for complementary colors and types of flowers. She listens very well and is flexible. She understood our style early on and always made helpful suggestions that fit our look and budget. She also paid great attention to detail, asking for our bridesmaid dress swatches. The flowers themselves were fresh and beautiful, and looked exactly like the sample arrangement, not a single flower less, if not more (no bait and switch horror stories here). She even threw in a surprise mini-bouquet for the toss. All in all, a wonderful vendor. You can't go wrong!

So ladies and gents, those of you reading. We just got married a few short weeks ago. Laurie and her team decorated our venue and provided the spectacular flowers for our tables. When I met Laurie for the first time I already knew what I wanted. I learned a whole new vocabulary of flowers (which I now forgot), had pictures clipped from every bridal magazine, and truly had a vision of what I wanted for my spring wedding. Laurie prepared a gorgeous sample for us to show that she captured our idea but to be honest with you that was quite an understatement when compared to what she did at the wedding day.
The bridal bouquet, bridesmaids, groomsmen. the chupa, the centerpieces they are were all just stunning! She took my ideas and just developed them into a gorgeous, classy, elegant and timeless work of art. Laurie has great taste, great eye, and is a smart and pleasant woman to work with. She was also flexible with cost and gave recommendations when needed if alternate flowers can be used to reduce cost without compromising the integrity of the pieces. No nickle and dimming here. Thank god!!

Laurie was recommended to me by a friend who had used her at her wedding. I really loved the flowers at my friends wedding and gave Laurie a call. The first time I met with Laurie I felt as if I knew her forever. She is so warm and genuine and she really knows her stuff. I am a very picky and detailed person. She sat with me for over 2 hours just showing me different types of flowers. She also helped me choose amazing linens that just made our decor that much more amazing. After our 2 hour meeting Laurie helped me decide on a beautiful array of floral designs. One of the most important things to me were the boutonnieres, I really wanted to have something beautiful and different and she nailed it! The boutonnieres were perfect, the bouquets were out of this world, my guests could not stop raving about our centerpieces and the church looked absolutely breath-taking. Laurie even had all our bouquets delivered to my mom's in the Bronx during rush hour on a Friday morning. I highly recommend laurelwood designs for all your wedding needs.

Laurie did an amazing job with our flowers. I was impressed with Laurie from the first moment I met with her. As soon as she started describing what she had in mind for our flowers I knew she was the florist for us. Her vision and description of the flowers she suggsted using tied in absolutely perfectly with everything that I was looking for.

The day of the flowers were EXACTLY as I had envisioned and expected everything came out perfectly as promised. Laurie made beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, decorated the cake just the way we wanted, even the pew bows were beautiful and unique. We did have a small incident on the day of the wedding when things were missing/not delivered to the house, her assistant was a little strange about it however it was QUICKLY resolved by Laurie and the situation was fixed with no problems. That aside the work of her flowers was beautiful, I think she did an amazing job and absolutely met all of our expectations. We could not have been any happier with the quality and assembly of all of the flowers she put together for us.

Laurie was the first florist I met with and we just clicked right away. Laurie understood exactly what I was looking for within minutes of meeting me. When I left my first meeting with Laurie, I immediately called the other florists which I had appointments for and cancelled all of them. I knew right away that I wanted to work with Laurie for my special day. My sample arrangement was AMAZING and spot on with what I wanted. When Laurie arrived at my house with my bouquet, the bouquet brought tears to my eyes that's how beautiful it was. I hadn't even considered flower preservation until the moment Laurie brought me my bouquet. I immediately knew that I wanted to preserve this amazing piece. The ceremony and my reception was just STUNNING! Everyone raved about my flowers.

If I had to use one word to describe Laurie’s work it would be "SPECTACULAR". I could not have been happier with the amazing job she did! I had been searching for weeks to find the right florist to do my wedding and quickly realized it was harder than I had expected to find what I was looking for. My photographer highly recommended Laurelwood designs so we decided to set up a meeting with her. From the first consultation with Laurie I just knew she got it! She understood exactly what I wanted. She was completely in tune with my vision every step of the way and a pleasure to work with. The whole experience was so much fun and exciting. We couldn't’t wait to see her design and my vision come to life. On the day of my wedding I didn't’t see any of the flowers besides my bouquet until the ceremony. Well….When the ceremony doors opened what I saw literally took my breath away! The chuppah, the rose petals and column displays with the draped material down each aisle! It was the most stunning display of flowers I had ever seen! The room was so colorful, cheerful and absolutely beautiful. Not to mention the cocktail hour and reception flowers, my bouquet including the bridesmaid bouquets were stunning!!! Every last detail was exceptional! Even the guest card table was beautiful. I'll start of by saying that I wish I could give Laurelwood Designs more than 5 stars in every category! I got married on June 19th at an outdoor venue, and for that reason, the flowers I was looking for were more simplistic than more traditional wedding flowers. I visited 2 other florists before I met Laurie and I felt that they were not listening to what I wanted and that they were pushing me for more extravagant and elaborate centerpieces and bouquets. I found Laurelwood Designs based on a friend's recommendation and as soon as I entered her office, I immediately felt openness, friendliness and warmth. I explained to Laurie what I was thinking and she looked at me and said "Let's see what we can do". The ideas she had were based on what I had described to her, and she never once pushed me for anything beyond that. When our first meeting ended, I told her how happy I was with my experience there and I actually hugged her! Laurelwood Designs was always quick in responding to an email or a phone call if I had any questions. I also had Laurie create a floral headpiece to wear, and I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted it to look like. She was extremely flexible with this and had no problem meeting with me a few times until it was just right. The bouquets, centerpieces, and boutonnieres on the day of the wedding were exactly what I wanted, but even more beautiful than I could have hoped for! The quality and color of the flowers was incredible and as I look back now on photos, my first comments are always about how beautiful the flowers were! I absolutely didn't care about flowers, at all. Until I met with Laurie, and saw how she creates beautiful bouquets and sparkly treasures and gorgeous wrapped stems. Even her studio is lovely! So from not caring to being enamored with flowers and falling in love with my bouquet. She worked with me, asked very nice detailed questions about my dress and wrapped the stems for the girls with fabric from their dresses (I brought her the leftovers from their alterations, she did the rest). A delight to work with and you will have nothing to worry about with her!

I wish that I had looked into preservation before the wedding because I definitely would have done anything to keep it looking so fantastic. I used Laurelwood Designs for my wedding that took place on October 31, 2009. I had seen Laurie and her designs at a bridal expo at Biagio's Restaurant and loved her work. Laurelwood created my bridal bouquet, all of the bridesmaids flowers, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and custom masquerade masks for myself and my groom. My husband and I had a bit of an edgier vision in regards to what we wanted for our wedding flowers. Instead of judging us and looking at us like we were crazy, she really seemed to understand our style and run with it. We had fun thinking up ideas with Laurie. She listened to what we wanted and provided us with ideas that blended in perfectly with our vision. In the end, she was able to create stylish, beautiful flowers that were classy yet a little unconventional - just like we wanted. If you may not be that creative, Laurelwood has tons of books to look through with lots of amazing designs that she has done in the past. Laurelwood Designs was very flexible in regards to working with our budget and even though the prices were very reasonable, the finished product looked like a million dollars. Any time I had a question or concern about our flowers, I emailed Laurie and her assistant always got back to me in a day, sometimes even within a few hours.From the first face-to-face appointment I had with Laurie and her team, to all of the finished arrangements on our wedding day, everything was perfect.

I'll begin with the positive first: The flowers were incredible. We got endless, breathless compliments on the quality of all the elements of the floral services. On that front, I cannot recommend Laurelwood any higher. She worked very closely with us, and at the first showing when we were not very excited, she worked hard to figure out exactly what we wanted to add. The final product was incredible for sure.
The negative was somewhat more pervasive and frustrating. Laurelwood is very aggressive financially, and will try to sneak every last dime out of you. We gave them a budget, and told them it was a very strict budget that we'd like to work with. When they gave us our original estimate, we came in just below that budget. We assumed that like every other vendor, this included all of their standard fees. When the final bill came to pass, suddenly there were service fees and taxes that suddenly destroyed our budget to the tune of nearly 30% above the previous price. Including a very generous service fee. I found including a generous mandatory service fee quite distasteful considering this is an independent florist working for herself. If she thinks her work is worth more - she should charge accordingly - not tack on a hidden fee at the end of a year-long relationship. At the time of the final contract we had to modify a couple of things - set the appropriate number of tables, exclude of a couple of extra things we could no longer afford, and sent that contract back. We received that final contract just the day prior to Laurelwood's due date for final payment. We happily wrote the check and let her know we planned on going to the post office to get it in the mail, but that it may be there a day late, but that we were definitely dropping it off on time. Up to this point we had always been on time or early with deposits, and we were working on the contract right up to this point - and assumed that we were working in good faith and this wouldn't be a problem. Instead we get a very curt and bolded response saying that we had better overnight the check unless we want to incur her $100/day late fee for delayed payment. We found this so incredibly distasteful, that its hard to endorse Laurelwood's service despite the beauty of the product. We strove very hard to find vendors that we could form a personal relationship with, that would work with us and understand what we wanted. Laurelwood did come through in understanding our vision for the flowers, but completely failed at customer service.

It was a pleasure dealing with Laurelwood. I have recommended Laurie to several of my friends who have recently gotten engaged. Laurie was nothing but professional, and her ideas were truly unique. Definitely check her out!!

We choose Laurelwood Designs after months of trying to find the right florist for our commitment ceremony. Laurie is calm, friendly and professional. She is truly an artist and is phenomenal and gifted at what she does. I wasn't one of those brides who knew exactly what flowers I wanted, though I had a very general vision. Laurie took the little direction that I gave her and worked with me to come up with gorgeous centerpieces and bouquets. Her suggestions were spot on and she very quickly got a sense of my style and the type of wedding I was planning during our first session. She was sensitive to and respectful of my budget and I never got any pressure to spend more, the way I did with some other vendors whom I met. That being said, looking at the final product, you never would have known that I was on a tight floral budget! I received many compliments about how beautiful the flowers were and still couldn't believe it myself when I saw them in place in the ballroom on my wedding day.

Laurie provided sample centerpieces once I booked, which I saw a couple of months before the wedding. This eased my mind significantly and really excited me for the final product. She and her assistant were prompt and responsive and they arrived early on the day of the wedding. I couldn't believe it when they contacted the church to coordinate with them directly during the week of the wedding, without me having to be involved. They took complete ownership of the details and greatly eased my stress levels. I don't think it's possible to find a more reliable vendor!

This vendor's work was beautiful, the only problem i had was with the MOB's bouquet, it was completely the wrong color and my mother couldn't get another orchid bouquet done in time. Other than that the flowers were absolutely beautiful and the centerpieces were to die for!!!

Bravo Laurie!!! The decor for our ceremony was timeless and the black linens along with the centerpieces for our reception were a huge hit!!! All of our guests loved the centerpieces so much people were literally snatching them off the tables at the end of the night along with the very cool "pool" colored rocks! I was fortunate to grab one centerpiece before they all went out the door but felt bad that my sister didn't get one so of course I gave it up to my big sister, hopefully the photographer took some snap shots of the tables cause everything was just perfect, exactly how we discussed and exactly how I envisioned everything to be!

Laurie even decorated my cake with the coolest ribbon ever made!!! And when the workers at the reception hall decided to throw our custom made aisle runner telling her to take care of it, even though they were responsible for putting it up, Laurie put the runner down without any complaint! I really couldn't have asked to work with someone who was not only extremely professional but treated me as a friend and worked with me through every detail to make sure my husband and I were completely satisfied. I can't thank you enough! Kudos to Laurie! Oh and lets not forget Laurie's assistant Renee, she was always right on top of things and made sure to keep in constant contact with me on every change and detail (and believe me there were a quite a few changes hahaha)...all I know is if anyone asks me if I know a great florist I am directing them to Laurelwood Designs, the most beautiful and artistic arrangements this happy bride could have ever asked for! :o)

Not just centerpieces - MASTERPIECES. Exquisite custom floral artistry, really. Her ideas and vision are fresh, sophisticated and absolutely beautiful. Be prepared to have your breath taken away if you work with Laurie, she presented me with photos of her work that made the "bridal floral reference books" seem obsolete. And Laurie is one of the warmest, most friendly and professional vendors in the state of NJ!!!

I came to Laurie with a hot pink and black color scheme and a rough idea of my wedding vision - romance with sophistication and glitz, but no idea how to pull all of it together in a cohesive manner. Having flipped through many floral books, I fell in love with calla lillies, stargazer lillies, orchids, cherry blossom, curly willow, stephanotis, lily of the valley and floral "bling"/lighting accents. So I presented Laurie with the rather tall order of making all of these elements come together.. an idea which had been quickly discouraged and dismissed when I met other florists : "Too much money, not practical, the flowers won't work well together, doesn't capture the vision, can't get them in that color in May, etc". She took my ideas and expounded upon them, inspiring me with more cutting edge ideas, details and options for other elements of wedding decor... including a floral topiary of a dog that she had seen on the Preston Bailey website - a HUGE hit with my guests, who took multiple pictures of my floral dog greeting them at the card table!!

Laurie truly elevated my elegant affair to the "Platinum Wedding" caliber... many guests commented that my flowers/decor must have been designed and assembled by a pricey NYC wedding planner a la David Tutera. Little do these guests know that I spent around $5000 for everything, which was 3 to 5 thousand dollars cheaper than other regional florists had quoted me.

The wedding party loved their flowers and the personal flowers (including the orchids in the hair of all my girls) held up beautifully through a night of dancing. My mother-in-law saved several of the bouquets and one very large and full centerpieces (dried and on display in the dining room :)).

But don't just take my biased blissfully word for it - my wedding photos are due to appear in LaBella Bridal magazine, 2 wedding websites and The Liberty House brochure in 2010. Thanks for exceeding all of my expectations, Laurie!!!

They were amazing. They were very flexible with our budget, the flowers were fresh and beautiful. They only book one wedding a day so you get 100% of their attention.

We set out with a certain budget for flowers for our wedding. We didn’t want to spend a ton on flowers because they die and we wanted to allocate our money into more important areas. However, we still wanted something that would look well at our venue with its high ceilings and dramatic design. This was a tough task but Laurie was up to the challenge! She helped us to come up with ideas that would work within our meager budget but still have that ‘wow’ factor.

Our flower trial was beautiful and we were so excited to see the finished products at our wedding.

Then, 2 weeks before our wedding my then FMIL told us she hated everything about the flowers…everything. Laurie was absolutely wonderful and accommodated us for an impromptu meeting to discuss alterations to the centerpieces. We decided on something that made everyone happy and she charged us very little extra to beef up the high centerpieces.

At the wedding the tall arrangements were amazing and MUCH more dramatic and fuller than we had agreed on. The low arrangements were also larger and in higher vases and she also had two cylindars filled with water and a submerged flower with a floating candle on each side of the short cp’s. None of these extras were included in the contract.

Laurie did an amazing job as you can see in our pictures. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone!

In the world of "Bliss",it can get so crazy esp when you are a wrkaolic like me, to try an set a date to work on some stringer relartionships with close by vendors. I find your work to be amazing and their are many many florists out there...Most don't start inbiased or try to alllow for the clients ideas to shine through....You rwork is beaitiful and you certainly deserve all of the wonderful compiliments you have here or other sites. While I am taking a break this year for my show and some really over due projects....meaning focus, I would love to set a time to grag a bite...I just wanted to share my opinion of your work to any prospective bride you are definitely going to give the very nest regardless of budget. That is not a quality most ind most often...I spend most of my time now working with the NYC Metro floral market...But would love to connect in NJ. NYC has always been a better way for me to expess my creativity....Your company gives hope I will find a good match in NJ too! Have a fab 2012 and don't forget to make sometime to have lunch etc?
