Laurie Lucov Wedding Cakes

Laurie did a beautiful job for our wedding cake. We didn't even get a tasting due to us living halfway across the country, but it was so incredibly delicious for our first bite! Our request was for something different and out of the box, and she completely delivered what we were hoping for- a work of art that was incredibly tasty :). I also love Laurie's responsiveness- she was the only pastry chef in the area that returned my phone call/email inquiry. She is easy to talk to and completely professional. She didn't push back on me or say that she wouldn't do a simple request of a cheesecake (our favorite), and we couldn't be happier to have had her on our team. My only regret was that we ordered way to much cake for the size of our wedding party, but it was by her recommendation to execute the design... leftover are well worth it, though!

Our wedding cake stole the show! Laurie Lucov made our wedding cake and it was phenomenal! We had Laurie make two separate cakes for us: the first cake was in the form of mini-cakes which were served with champagne immediately after our wedding in the afternoon and the second cake was a traditional tiered wedding cake served after the formal dinner that evening.

Both cakes were absolutely stunning to look at, better than we had ever imagined! The fondant decorations were smooth and clean and perfect, even down to the little details on each mini-cake. And the flavor of the cakes was awesome, even the fondant tasted good! Seriously, all of our guests told us they had never had such amazing wedding cake.

Laurie was very professional throughout the entire planning process. During the cake tasting appointment, she listened intently and took notes on everything we were wanting in our wedding cake. And she provided creative ideas and suggestions to make the cake even better for us. It turned out absolutely amazing!

Laurie's made a beautiful and tasty wedding cake for my wedding. Laurie was flexible in the beginning to work with me in meeting me for a tasting. On the day of tasting in Petaluma, Laurie brought several flavors of cakes she made so that my husband and I were able to try and decide. Once we know what flavors we liked, Laurie went on being more accomodating in the look of the cake. She simply let me gave her the pictures of a "dream" cake I'd love to have for the wedding and made her best to make a cake look exactly like the picture. One meeting with deciding on the flavor and look, we were pretty much hands off to let Laurie do her work. Laurie was so professional that I did not have to worry about a thing and the cake was delivered to the wedding beautiful and tasty as I have imagined it to be.

Our guests and we all loved both flavors we chose for the cake: vanilla&almond, and white chocolate and raspberry. We saved the top tier of our cake for the 1st anniversay, by which time I will enjoy Laurie's cake again.

I highly recommend working w/ Laurie for her professionalism, flexibility, ability to make a tasty good looking wedding cake at a very good price.

mmm...Laurie Lucov's cakes are delicious and beautiful! We served two cakes at our wedding (lemon pound cake/buttercream & chocolate caramel with sea salt/buttercream). She created a beautiful FOUR tiered cake that was truly tasty. We were impressed from the moment we met to taste her cupcakes to the moment we cut our cake on our wedding day! We received many compliments on the quality of our cake and could not be more pleased! Laurie is sweet and so are her cakes:)

Planning a wedding from across the country can be stressful but after speaking with Laurie I knew I had one less thing to worry about. Laurie was extremely responsive, kind and creative -- exactly what we were looking for! Not to mention reasonable; weddings in wine country can be expensive and she provided great value for your dollar compared to other vendors I interviewed. The cake was BEAUTIFUL (I wish there was an option to upload a photo of it!) and tasty. Well, the carrot cake was tasty. After we cut the cake, we got too distracted by everything else I forgot to grab a piece of the red velvet! But from what I was told, that flavor was yummy as well. If anyone has an extra piece of red velvet from Laurie, please send my way!

I one thing that really disappointed me at my wedding was the cake. It looked so tiny, and like we really skimped on the cake. We ordered a three tier cake for 70+ people, but the cake we got looked it would serve maybe 50. I design was fine, but what a disappointment!!!!!

Laurie Lucov did a great job on our wedding cake! The cake was really affordable for a Napa wedding and tasted great. Laurie was really easy to work with, we met her once to taste and design our cake and she made exactly what I had envisioned. She had cupcakes for the tasting of the different flavors available which we were able to take back home with us (just the thing for breakfast the next morning!) Our guests really enjoyed the cake as did we!

Laurie's cakes are not only beautiful, they are absolutely delicious! I visited two cake vendors in the Napa Valley area and Laurie's warm and inviting attitude was a plus and won me over. I also went to Perfect Endings and they were less flexible, way more costly and had more of a "it's our way or the highway" approach. I felt that Laurie listened to me and valued my business. As far as the cake goes, the tastings were great. She had cupcakes in multiple flavors and she let me take home the leftovers for my husband to try. Perfect Endings didn't let you do this as they were afraid you would try to copy the recipe (at least that is what they told me). I also thought Laurie's tasting blew away the others. Her cakes are moist and not too sugary. My guests loved every bite and were surprised to taste such a great wedding cake!

I could not decide which cake I liked best during my tasting. I mostly said things like "Mmmm..." or "This one. No, this one" or "I need another bite of that one" and again with the "Mmmmmm...."
I went with a three tier cake and every tier was a different flavor. She made sheet cakes to accomodate all the extra cake I would need (150 guests total).
The cake design beautiful and simple...Laurie used my invitations as an inspiration.
The cake(s) were outstanding! Many of my guests said it was the best wedding cake they have ever had!
Laurie was terrific to work with and I highly recommend her to any bride looking for a beautiful and delicious cake.

Laurie makes some of the best cake I have ever had. And she's committed to fresh, local ingredients--she has her strawberries picked by a nearby farm the same day as the cake is delivered! That's what I call fresh produce!

Look no further. Laurie Lucov is an amazing baker. I've been privileged enough to have eaten her decadent cakes/wedding cakes as well as her scrumptious cupcakes ( with to-flip-for chocolate frosting!) She has a gift of not only designing the most the beautiful cakes ever, but having them taste incredible too.
