YOU NEED TO DO A MOCKUP IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO WITH LAVENDER HILL...FOR EVERY DESIGN ELEMENT OF YOUR WEDDING!!!! VERY IMPORTANT! Luckily, we paid the $150 to do the mockup for one of our centerpieces. At the mockup, the colors were off and there was little to no creativity in the centerpiece. After getting my planner involved, we went in for another mockup and the revised centerpiece was fantastic and I was very impressed! Be extremely specific on every aspect, leave no detail to the imagination. On the wedding day, my personal flowers were not accurate--the color was off and the quality of the flowers was poor. The centerpiece that we had seen in the mockup was missing all the flair that it had at the mockup--which I assume is where she lowered her cost. The other centerpiece style was beautiful, though it was an exact copy of a design I saw previously in her office. The orchids on the cake were wilting and they were a smaller type of orchid than what we had contracted for--the flowers looked pathetic next to the cake design. Dawn and her team appeared to be working very hard at the wedding and I appreciate all of the hard work. She was always willing to revise the design elements and specifics which I also appreciate. However, the other major issues were extremely dissapointing and overshadowed the hard work and flexibility. As a floral designer, I would have noticed the things that were not up to par and corrected them immediately.

The flowers I imagined at my wedding were the ones that were there. Enough said.

We really wanted our wedding to be simple and low key. I love flowers, but I have never been to a wedding where the flowers made an impression on me. So I figured that would be the case at our wedding too. Our colors were dark purple and spring green, and I only hoped that the colors would end up correct. I wanted it to look nice, but I didn't expect anything spectacular. I could not have been more wrong. Dawn at Lavender Hill did and amazing job with our flowers!!! Her work truly created the atmosphere at our wedding, and it was so much more than I ever could have imagined. Every time I see the pictures, I realize how much the beauty of her arrangements and all the little details she provided made our event beautiful. Many of our guests commented during and after the event about the flowers. Dawn was easy to work with, she understood what we wanted right away, she made fabulous suggestions, and she pulled everything we wanted off to perfection. In addition, I thought her prices were incredibly reasonable. Overall, we couldn't have been happier.

My bouquet turned out gorgeous and so did my reception centerpieces (though I did have to ask her to do a two mock-ups since the first one wasn't right at all). We selected her because she seemed to really understand what we wanted from the first meeting and her prices were fairly less than the others. However, she did have an attitude with me a few times, which I didn't appreciate. I was the client and then the flowers at the ceremony were awful. The rose color was wrong and I felt they were poor quality. The saddest thing, roses were not even my "flowers of the day" choice. Roses were just fillers. So that was a huge mistake. I was extremely disappointed when I saw what she had done. My flowers were the most important item of the day, besides my groom. Unfortunately, I can't recommend her and we wish we would have gone with someone else.

Dawn from Lavender Hill was the best vendor that we worked with for our wedding. She was patient, had great ideas for our flowers, and did an AMAZING job bringing everything together and making sure our color scheme (blue and orange) turned out right. Beyond color, I wasn't sure of what I wanted for our flowers, so Dawn walked me through everything, showed my all the options, and was helpful without being pushy at all. She visited our ceremony site and had great ideas for covering the railings we didn't like and for decorating the rotunda. On the day of, she and her team were right on time and did a great job decorating the ceremony site, then moving the arrangements to the banquet room for the reception. Our flowers turned out more fabulous than I could have imagined. We had so many guests comment our flowers and tell us that our wedding was the most beautiful they had been to.

Dawn and her team were fantastic. They were so great at taking my ideas and expanding upon them in order to create the best outcome for the day. They are so gifted at what they do. We gave them some artistic freedom with our flowers and they blew us away. We absolutely loved what they did for us, and I highly recommend using them. They are so flexible with any changes that you would like to make, and they give you quality pieces that are totally worth what you spend.

Finding the perfect floral designer was extremely important to me. After weeks of researching and days of calling and interviewing, I finally found what I was looking for. Dawn from Lavendar Hill!

What's unique about Dawn is that she possesses so many qualities that I didn't see throughout my search for a floral designer. From day one, Dawn proved to be accommodating, attentive, creative, helpful, patient, responsive, and best of all, talented.

To showcase the floral mockups, Dawn actually drove to my venue, after hours, and stayed by my side until I was 100% satisfied with the arrangements. I knew I would have nothing to worry about the day of the wedding because of her professionalism and proving to be reliable.

The flowers the day of the wedding turned out to be more stunning than what I imagined. They looked even better then the mockups which was a wonderful surprise. I especially loved my bouquet so much that I was sad I didn't order a separate bouquet to toss.

Our guests were also just as happy with the centerpieces they got to take home. Weeks after the wedding, I received compliments about how fresh and beautiful the arrangements still looked. I was so happy Dawn used the freshest flowers possible.

For our wedding, I wanted it to be all about the flowers. Dawn was so helpful in her details and her passion for her job really shows in her work. Even after I completely changed my mind 4 weeks before the wedding, she still was right there willing to take on anything I wanted.
One thing for certain was I that I wanted huge urns filled with jasmine vines and hydrangea. They were gorgeous! My bouquet of cascading orchids was perfect and the rich aubergine color of my bridesmaid bouqets were exquisite. The flowers lasted well over a month after the wedding and her ability to find all the unique flowers and vines I wanted was fantastic.

Dawn at Lavender Hill is one of the best vendors you will ever work with.

Reflecting back on my wedding, everything went smoothly with all of my vendors, but working with Dawn was the most relaxing experience. Before meeting Dawn, I shopped around and met with various other florists who all seemed to want to make their OWN dream wedding on MY day (my thoughts were of no consideration). On top of that, the prices of the other florists were very high.

Upon meeting Dawn, she not only was very accommodating with our budget, offering suggestions that would create the look I wanted within budget, but she also was very friendly. Starting off, I had an idea of what I wanted, but not specific types of flowers. Dawn had color coded books of flowers for me to choose from, allowing me to mix and match and when something I thought was beautiful was not in season, she offered an equally beautiful flower in return, something that was available.

I also pulled a page out of a magazine with a handmade flower girl basket on it and brought it to one of our meetings. I wondered if this was something that could be found...I didn't want the traditional white woven basket. Instead of finding something similar, Dawn re-created the basket for me. Needless to say, my flower girl was delighted. Gestures such as these, make Dawn shine. Dawn puts forth an effort that reflects great passion for her work, and true care for her clients.
