I stopped in at Lefty's Bridal on Saturday to look at their selection of bridesmaids dresses. They had a large assortment of dresses to look through with different prices points. Denise, a staff member at Lefty’s, encouraged me to also look for a dress for myself. I told Denise my price range, what type of dress I was looking for (and not looking for). The dress that Denise found for me was absolutely gorgeous and BELOW my budget. I didn’t want to purchase the dress without my mother seeing me in it and the staff was patient and understanding. My mother ended up being able to come to see me in the dress and veil and I made my purchase!

I so very appreciated the spirit, patience, and professionalism exemplified by Mr. & Mrs. Lefty, Denise (Saturday was her first day!), and even the gentleman working on the website. The boutique is lovely, the layout is inviting, and you get personalized attention.

I really wanted to support a small business in the community so I’m happy that I was able to make a purchase from Lefty’s as opposed to a bigger named bridal shop. I highly recommend Lefty’s Bridal to any bride that is looking for a beautiful dress and outstanding customer service!

This is a kind of different review but one that is surely worth mention. In the times we live in "customer service" has almost become invisible. I am still floating because I called Lefty's for bridal inqueries and never have I spoken to a more gracious, professional, patient and "after my own heart" individual in my life and I know customer service protocol because I am an HR Director.

I spoke to Lefty's assistant and am certain she represents the demeanor and pristine manners of Lefty. I have become Lefty's ambassador for where brides, prom, cotillion ladies and all ladies in-between should go for high quality, impeccable service. If an organization can take care of you via phone, just imagine what it is going to be like when I actually walk through the doors of Lefty's Bridal Boutique. Thanks guys for embodying the kind of customer care every customer should experience over and over again.

Lefty's Bridal (Lefty) was able to pull selective gowns that I did not think I could wear (I am a slightly plus size bride). But she was able to put me in a BEAUTIFUL "Blue Austin". It was diamond white (soft ivory) and it gathered below the hip. I tell you what, if it were not for Lefty's craft at seeing/knowing what would look good on me, I would have been stuck with a David's Bridal gown (which I tried on first). David Bridal gown made me look FAT. However, Lefty's gown made me look absolutely gorgeous. All I can say is THANK YOU, LEFTY FOR LOOKING OUT FOR ME AND MAKING THIS DAY SO SPECIAL! I brought my bridal gown from Lefty's. WhenI first met Lefty, she and her husband were working from the addition that was built onto their home in Forestville, MD. I came to try on dresses during a weekday, so I received undivided attention. However, when my bridal party came back to the shop on a Saturday to find their bridal gowns, the shop was so busy, we didnt even have a place to sit. But by the time I came for my 2nd fitting, the shop had expanded to Capital Blvd in Largo, MD which was a bigger and much needed space. I built a personal relationship with Lefty as if we had known one another for years. I trusted her judgement on my dress and veil choices and I have to say that I looked magnificent on my day. I ended up buying a Sottero and Midgley dress and I priced the dress $400 cheaper at Lefty's than at other bridal stores that I had called. Lefty's Bridal shop is the only shop that I went to for my wedding dress because I had about 15 dresses that I found online and so I called about 50 different shops within 50 miles of my home to inquire whether they had any of the dresses in their showrooms to try on and Lefty's was 1 out of 2 shops that actually looked up the information for me. The other shops were too busy pressing me to make an appointment. I spoke to Lefty's mom when I finally made my appointment and she said "I promise you that once you come to Lefty's Bridal, you will never want to go to another Bridal shop." lol But she was right! The atmosphere was so comfortable and I enjoyed the experience.

The only issue that I had was my bustle broke within 30 minutes of the reception starting, which was an irritatant for me while I danced. But regardless of that, I would still recommend Lefty's Bridal to anyone, especially brides on a budget because she does not overcharge for her dresses like some bridal shops do.

Lefty at Lefty's Bridal treated me so kindly. We were able to find my wedding dress at her shop for half of what it was offered elsewhere. She fitted me for the gown perfectly and was very easy to work with. I highly recommend her!

I call Lefties Bridal Boutique the lil shop on the corner :), I loved going there. My over all experience with Lefties team was almost always great. They were attentive, patient, respectful and almost always available. I appreciated everything that her team did for me as my weight fluctuated she was so accommodating to me throughout this process....as I lost the weight and my gown got bigger and bigger lefty had a solution because trust me as small and intimate as their boutique is she has a wide variety of dresses ranging from size and body type.
Thank You for all you did to make my process easier my day went well..he bustles didn't hold but we tied the train up some how :) thank you!!!!

lefty was so helpful in every sense of the word.she helped me pick up the perfect dress for my body type.i had to do very little alteration to it and on my wedding day,people could not stop talking about my dress.thank you lefty and your husband for making my day a wonderful one.

While I loved Lefty and her selection - especially for the price - my dress did not hold up. We didn't have a party time drunken rager of a wedding - a Sunday day time event with nothing more crazy than the hora.
However, the bustle - which combined with the alterations was over $200 - did not hold and ended up ripping my dress by the end of the day, and couldn't be fixed.
However, her selection was great and I enjoyed my experience with her. I just think the alterations might need to be a bit better depending on the type of dress. I wish I had a dress that could be salvaged, but unfortunately I dont.

Brides if you are looking for the perfect dress, like no one elses and at a reasonable price Lefty's Bridal & Boutique is the place you should go. I found all my bridal needs at Lefty's there were sooo many dresses to choose from Lefty made it easy for me to make a decision. With her expertise and designer skills we were able to pick out the perfect dress for me. My dress was so granded, on my wedding day my husband and guests were in "AWA" as to how I beautiful I looked, I got married on a ship, the entire ship knew who I was because of how beautiful and gorgeous I looked in my wedding dress. Lefty thank you so much for making my wedding day a dream come true.

Lefty and her staff are great. She took the time to select several different styles for me to try on until I found the best one. Unlike other bridal shops her main concern is ensuring you look your best. She will be truthful, in a kind way, if a certain style is more flattering. I should also mention she is not concerned with trying to overcharge her clients. She could have told me my dress needed minor alterations or extra length to make more money, instead she was truthful in letting me know that no changes were needed. I purchased my gown and bridesmaids dresses from Lefty; all were absolutely beautiful.

Lefty is the best, she is a pleasure to work with. She transformed a moonlight bridal gown and made it my own. I cant say enough about the great service I received from Lefty's Bridal. Excellent selection of dresses and great prices topped with exceptional service! Thanks Lefty

I stumbled into Lefty's almost by accident. I needed a backup wedding dress because it seemed like my original dress might not come in on time. I found a suitable backup and checked the store locator and they had Lefty's as a place you could buy the designer's dresses.

The day I went in there, Lefty was there with her husband and daughter. They are the nicest people, the kind you just want to be friends with. They can get you almost any dress at a better price than you would find at other bridal salons and they can do it without the madness you find at the other salons as well. She is so knowledgable and has such a calmness about her, and a way that makes you feel totally at ease. She can get your dress for you on time, she can do the alterations herself and the prices are unbeatable. There is no B.S. here like at other bridal salons, they are genuine, honest people. I wouldn't bother going anywhere else.

Has a nice selection of dresses for plus size women. I was able to show them a couple of pictures of gowns that I liked and they gave me great options based on the type of gowns that I showed them in the photos. The reason why I gave the almost scores for responsiveness and flexibility is because during the time when I was schedule to bring my dress back for alterations I had made and appointment a month in advance a day before I decided to call and confirm and was about to leave a message about my appointment when the owners mom picked up the phone and stated that she was about to call me to reschedule my appointment only a day before I was to be serviced...not to mention that I had constantly told the owner that I now lived out of state and only traveled to DC for my wedding. I was very disappointed thinking about if I had wasted my time coming down and had not had an appointment because she was going to her daughters graduation had I not took the initiative to call. I won't deny the fact that the dresses options are great and the amount that I paid for my dress was excellent but the service and that particular situation had me PO'd.

My experience with Leftys Bridal was simply exquisite--absolutely fabulous! The professionalism, personal attention and flexibility was outstanding. The knowledge of bridal gowns/fashions and what will compliment your build was very important to me. I highly recommend Lefty's Bridal.

I was so happy that I had an experience with Lefty's Bridal .The boutique was specious and carry all kinds of gorgeous pieces. And I loved atmosphere in it - very relaxing and stuff is very helpful.

Lefty's offers quality wedding gowns at affordable prices. The shop is located in her house but don't let that fool you. It is immaculate and very professionally laid out. She specializes in fitting those with challenges (plus sized) and is very sensitive to all of your issues. She also offers fabulous accessories and bridesmaid gowns.
The only things that caused me to rate this shop lower were (1) that it is sometimes difficult to coordinate appointments and (2) more importantly, the shop refused to ship my bridesmaids dresses to my out of town bridesmaids as promised. I specifically noted that at least 1/2 of my bridesmaids were out of town and was reassured that it wouldn't pose an issue because the shop would take credit card info via the phone including the shipping cost. However, 30 days prior to my wedding, they changed their policy and required me to pick up the remaining 2 dresses and figure out how to ship them myself. Moreover, the shop never informed me of this new policy. They simply called my bridesmaids to tell me to come get the dress and get it to them. To me, that is simply unacceptable and unprofessional, especially 30 days out from the wedding. They should have made an exception for the last 2 dresses and not have just took the money and blow us off after convincing me to have all 7 bridesmaids pay for their dresses through them.

Otherwise, I was very pleased with my dress selection and quality.

EXCELLENT service! Met all deadlines. I also had the convenience of paying over the telephone.

Lefty and her husband blessed me beyond what we could ever ask or think. we pray that their business bloom like no other. They will always hold a special place in our heart. The Renewal of my Vows was a day to remember and family are talking about our day; and of course the gown was breath taking. Thanks again

My wedding dress from Lefty's was absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere every time I visited the shop. I would make sure to make an appointment because it is a pretty busy place.

I had seen the dress I wanted online. I went to a bridal shop that was said to have had the dress. They did not. I would have to order it first. That was not going to happen. So I flipped through the Mary's catalogue where I saw the dress for me. They didn't have this dress in the store either. I went online for bridal shops that carried Mary's dresses in the store. I called Lefty's and they actually had the dress in the store. I loved it and they ordered it for me!!! I loved the fact that they will not just put you in any dress just to make a sale. They actually try different styles to ensure you the best look ever! Lefty and Tai-Rhan work excellently together and I thank them for their great service and dedication for making everyone the queen of their day. My bridal party dresses also were purchased from Lefty's. I highly recommend them to everyone!!

Lefty's Bridal was very helpful. There are a lot of bridal shops that are out there trying to rob brides simply because they believe you are willing to pay top dollar for a wedding dress. Lefty was not like that at all. Actually she helped me to find a dress that I saw in a previous bridal boutique for $2500 for only $850.00. If you are looking for a honest professional than you need not look any further.

the service here is excellent. the family is so loving and down to earth. the prices that lefty gives you on a dress is so much more affordable than every other store in the dmv area that i visited. she wasnt just another shop trying to make a sale, she really cared about how i looked and felt in a dress. i would never recommend any other place but leftys bridal! and to the review that said she cancelled your appointment because of her daughters graduation....well of course she did it was her daughters graduation!!! you wouldnt have cancelled for your daughters graduation? if not that just shows your bad character not hers. also to the review about them not shipping the bridesmaid dress lol why would they? if it had gotten lost then you would have wanted to ring leftys neck right? so pick up your on bridemaids dresses and ship them yourself. sorry if i seem angry but i know how awesome leftys bridal really is. i love leftys!

Lefty did my wedding 8 years ago and I am still giving her name out to couples for their wedding day. Very impressed and still by the way they do business. I will always get my formal attire from this business good luck in all of your up coming events
