Leo is the BEST! PERFECT!

Leo is a complete snake. I wish we would have seen some reviews before we signed his lengthy contract. (Which he wouldn't let us take home to look over before signing) He was the biggest headache in an otherwise perfect wedding. He told us the whole time not to worry about shadows, or shirts being tucked in, etc because he would edit. Well guess what! No editing- poor quality. He has a good artistic view, but takes horrible pictures. (focuses on the wrong thing) We had to pay him months in advance and it took 8 (yes 8!) months to get our albums. My biggest advise to any bride and groom trying to plan their perfect day- don't book Leo

I would definitely recommend Leo Pilak as the photographer for a wedding. Although we have not received all the pictures yet (we will in about a week), the pictures I have seen so far are awesome. Leo puts up "teaser" pics a couple days after the wedding. There were about 110 of these pictures and they were really good! I cannot wait to see the rest of the pictures. Leo and the two other photographers that were there that day were awesome to work with. They really made us smile naturally because of their silliness and quirkiness! One word of advice though - if you are a person who doesn't like sarcasm or wittiness, do not choose Leo as your photographer. My husband and I loved his personality though, and he worked out great for us!

-Difficult to work with.
-Has been reluctant to answer questions. "It's in your contract."
-did not provide service that we wanted- Little "photojournalistic" photography, always out for the perfect shot.
-Dissappeared after ceremony, did not get family shots after ceremony, or of cocktail hour before.

Photography is expensive but well worth it, which is why I recommend that brides and grooms should make an excellent photographer a priority. I don’t want to say that I waited my whole life to get married, but I think I did wait longer than most brides, and I wanted to have beautiful pictures to remember the whole day. I would want the same for all of my family members. Leo is a great photographer, he has an incredible artistic ability, and I loved all of our photos. He also has the ability to move groups around and gather people with ease and confidence, which made it much easier to get all our group photos completed in a short time.

If you decide to go with this photographer, make sure you give him a list of pictures you want. I didn't even get a picture of our kiss at the end of the ceremony! There were no posed pictures of just me in my dress. He had an assistant there taking pictures but I never saw any of those pictures. The photos I got were very good. Maybe I just didn't get the best service because I took advantage of a deal he was offering. I know he can do great work based on his samples and the photos he did get at my wedding. I just would have liked him to capture the whole wedding.
