Let Them Eat Cake

OK, I think our wedding cake is a special case because it's going to be featured on the show "Amazing Wedding Cakes" on the WE network. We went to Christopher Garren, the owner of Let Them Eat Cake, and told him that we were having a Steampunk themed wedding (Victorian with touches of science fiction, like Jules Verne and H.G. Wells) and Christopher understood immediately. "Oh, like Jules Verne and H.G. Wells?" was what he actually said, I think. :) We gave Christopher some pictures and images from the internet that evoked our theme, and he and his team started working on a sketch that blew our minds when we saw it. Then, the show "Amazing Wedding Cakes" which routinely features the work of Let Them Eat Cake, asked us if they could film our cake and wedding, and my husband and I, of course, agreed! Long story short, we ended up with the single most amazing, creative, wonderful, mind-blowing wedding cake I've ever seen! I couldn't say enough wonderful things about the team at Let Them Eat Cake!

I first heard of Christopher Garren's Let Them Eat Cake from WE TV's "Amazing Wedding Cakes." I was mesmerized by their detailed designs and ability to take your whole wedding scheme into consideration. When my husband and I went for a cake consultation, we discovered how good the cake tasted as well! After sending in our "bridal package" inspirations, we were super pleased with the sketch they emailed us. Even though they stretched our budget a little bit, the cake was worth every penny! I highly recommend this bakery! My guests not only raved about how amazing the wedding cake looked, they also showed how good it tasted by devouring the cake! I'm not kidding.

THE WORST CAKE PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. RUINED MY WEDDING CAKE 2 WEEKS BEFORE MY BIG DAY AND THEY WENT 1,000$ OVER MY BUDGET!! HAD TO FIND ANOTHER CAKE DESIGNER 2 WEEKS BEFORE MY WEDDING DAY, IT WAS A NIGHTMARE COME TRUE. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO ANY BRIDE EVEN THINKING ABOUT USING THEM TO THINK AGAIN!!!

I ENDED UP USING SWEET GEMS. GRACE, WAS SUPER NICE, MADE ME FEEL SO AT EASE AND WAS ABLE TO DO MY CAKE FOR ME WITH ONLY 2 WEEKS NOTICE. SHE SAVED ME FROM HAVING A BREAKDOWN!! :D

It's true that Let Them Eat Cake is a more expensive place to go for a wedding cake but I don't think that we would have had such an amazing cake otherwise.

We had a hard time deciding on what design we wanted for our cake but everyone there, especially Beth, was extremely patient with us. She must have made us about four drafts of the cake before we decided on something. They ended up making us an amazing Legend of Zelda cake with the figurines of Link and Princess Zelda on it. We choose the Red Velvet cake and were extremely pleased that it was just as delicious as it had been when we did the tasting.

Everyone absolutely loved the uniqueness of it and many of our guests told us that it was the best cake that they had ever tasted. We did have a bit left over after serving to our guests but by the end of the night some of them had requested boxes so that they could take it home because they liked it so much.

We loved Let Them Eat Cake and we will definitely have them make us another cake in the future.

If i could reccommend one of my venues it would be Let Them Eat Cake. I had the most immaculate cake! I felt like a celebrity!! Lindsay made my cake a did a wonderful job. Everyone was so blown away by how gorgeous my cake was. It tasted incredible! Everyone should get their cake from this venue- especially created my Lindsay! I told her what i had in mind and she came up with a gorgeous sketch and an even more gorgeous cake! My flavors where Mango/Passion Fruit and Chocolate fudge. It was truly the best thing i have ever tasted!!

By far one of the most expensive vendors we hired but we loved loved our cake. We had a few special requests to make it very personable and also my husband and I have different flavor favorites but owner Marjorie was fantastic. She had wonderful creative ideas that helped us to compromise! the day of they were on time and was just so pleased with the whole experience!

The most amazing wedding cake!! Exactly what we wanted. The flowers on the top of the cake were sugar....looked so perfect, we thought they were real. Best looking and tasting cake...hands down!!

Be sure to taste the cake and work closely for design. Chris is fantastic and will be able to deliver a fully custom design. They are remarkable!

I have only good things to say about Let Them Eat Cake. They only create custom cakes so I gave them a list of my favorite design elements and they came up with a sketch for me and let me make whatever changes I needed. We got to try two different cakes for our trial and they were excellent...we were eating the samples for a couple of days and had our maid of honor, best man, and my parents try it too. They were even really flexible when our guest count dropped by 100 people. Instead of creating a whole other cake they just did 2 layers in styrofoam. I barely got any cake the day of but people seemed to really enjoy it. We have the top layer in our fridge and it still tastes good after being frozen for 3 weeks!!!

Julie works out of her home and makes an awesome, awesome cake. Everyone raved about how it’s the best wedding cake they ever had and by the end of the night, it was gone. We had it wrapped for people to take because we had a dessert tray, but the people who stayed a long time ate some before leaving!! The only complaint I had was trying to get a hold of her in the few weeks before the wedding.
