Liberty Mountain Resort

We loved having our wedding at Liberty Mountain! We would highly recommend the Boulder Ridge Lodge...Very private and secluded from the rest of the resort. The lodge is beautiful, and very romantic for an evening wedding. The only complaint I would have would be that my Husbands food was a bit on the dry side (Pork). Overall, the service was fantastic! :)

Initially we resisted the idea of Ski Liberty. Who has a wedding reception at a ski resort in October?? After we met with Kelly, saw the facilities, heard what they would do for us and compared prices, we were sold on it! Kelly was on it every step of the way. She was always responsive and available to answer our most inane questions, made excellent suggestions and provided us with friendly, personal attention. For the rehearsal, day of the wedding, reception, and farewell breakfast, we were turned over to Terry. Terry was an energizer bunny who was everywhere all the time and never stopped. She anticipated our every need before we even knew we had a need. She wore many hats - coordinator for the rehearsal, banquet manager, even wait staff for the breakfast! Always with a smile and understanding. Nothing was ever too big or too insignificant to rate the same level of care and attention. Every single person, including the housekeepers, that we interacted with at Ski Liberty was very professional, friendly, helpful, responsive and absolutely fabulous! They all contributed greatly to making this perfect experience and a wedding that dreams are made of.

Our wedding was absolutely beautiful, our guests could not stop raving about the beautiful Alpine Room! The food was so delicious, our guests also raved about that! Kelly helped us during the planning process and was always available to answer any questions that we had. On the day of the wedding, we were fortunate enough to have Kathie & Mary Ann taking care of us, and they kept everything running so smooth! I can't think of one thing that went wrong, everything was just perfect - it really was a dream come true!

The staff at liberty (esp Pat in planning and MaryAnn on the wedding day) was extremely helpful and friendly. I called multiple times while planning and they were always helpful. The wedding went perfect down to every detail even things i had forgotten they took care of. The food got rave reviews many guests said it was the best food and service they had ever had at a wedding.

We had our reception at the Boulder Ridge Lodge and it was just what we work looking for...something elegant but not too formal. The Lodge gave the reception just the right feel. Everyone at Liberty Mountain was great to work with and they followed up on all of our requests.

My wedding day was an absolute dream come true, and Liberty Mountain was the pefect location for the reception. Thank you to Kelly, Terry, and all the other staff for an amazing day! I know my guests enjoyed themselves!

As soon as I walked around the property of Liberty Mountain I knew I wanted to have our ceremony and reception there! We had our ceremony and reception in the Alpine Room. We worked with Kelly during the planning process and Maryann on the day of our wedding. Both were absolutely amazing to work with. Kelly normally replied to my emails within a day or two. She was very informative with what needed to be done and always answered any questions that I had about the planning process. Maryann was great to work with during the rehearsal and on our wedding day. The line at the bar was never long and our guests were happy with the service they received when getting drinks. Maryann asked me periodically throughout the night if I needed anything or if everything was ok. I can't say enough about how happy I was with everything on our wedding day.

I had my reception in the Jacqueline Ballroom and I cannot put into words how impressed my husband and I, as well as my family, were with Liberty Mountain Resort. Out of everything in the wedding process, working with the staff here and getting things done in an easy and efficient matter made this the easiest part of the planning! Every little detail, they made sure to attend to, and whenever I had a question or suggestion, it was genuinely accepted. Working with Pat Gach was amazing because no question was too trivial and it made the overall process a lot less stressful. As well, on the actual wedding day, Terry was absolutely amazing with making sure that the reception ran smoothly, and was wonderful at communicating with my husband and I without being distracting. Again, words cannot explain how wonderful those 2 ladies, as well as the rest of the staff, were with helping to make my wedding feel special and that is exactly how it felt! I would recommend Liberty Resort to anyone looking for a supprotive staff and a good time for a wedding reception.

Everyone that we worked with was extremely friendly and willing to help and answer questions. Everything looked beautiful and the day-of coordinator helped everything go smoothly!

Great location and very affordable. Excellent service and the people were very helpful on planning the wedding. Beautiful area and lots of room to have a reception. They provided me with a lot of things (included with the reception package) to help me save time and money on wedding items. (ex. linens and centerpieces).

I can't tell you how pleased I was with Liberty! Their coordinators were great and fun to work with. They help you every step of the way, offer suggestions and give you advice based on experience. We used the Boulder Ridge venue which was absolutely gorgeous. They have a wonderful outdoor area for your ceremony but a beautiful inside option as well in case the weather is bad which is really convenient. The complete staff the day of the wedding were very efficient and friendly. Everyone raved about the food as well that Liberty provided. Overall the price was more than we originally wanted to spend but the ease of the day, gorgeous atmospere and excellent service was completely worth it. I would absolutely suggest Liberty to any bride!

My wedding at Liberty Mountain Resort was everything that I wanted it to be, thanks to the staff there. I wouldn't have changed a thing and would recommend this venue to any bride looking for a romantic setting in nature to get married.

I had my ceremony and reception in the Alpine Room at Liberty Mountain. I met with Kelly and she was very flexible throughout the entire planning process. Kathy was my coordinator the day of and handled every situation so we could party! The waiters and bartenders even made friends with the guests. Everyone had a fabulous time thanks to all the staff and space at Liberty Mountain Resort. Thank you for making our day everything we dreamed it to be.

Liberty gave us the wedding of our dreams on a tight budget. I bake wedding cakes and have been to literally a thousand weddings, and Liberty has some of the best food I have ever eaten. They give you a lot of options to keep the cost down, and the venues/spaces are beautiful. We chose the Boulder Ridge Pavillion, which has wall to cathedral ceiling tongue and groove knotty pine. The landscaping was perfect. You will never know that there were snow skiiers there a month or so prior! The pictures on the website do not do the space justice. You want to talk about customer service? The staff at Liberty will become part of your family. I ended up inviting them to my wedding. They bent over backwards and then some to make us feel welcome and at ease about the whole wedding process. Kelly and Deanna basically walked us through every step of the way (they even brought me gas when I ran out 5 miles from the resort). They helped us create the wedding of our dreams, and became our friends during the process. Put it this way- If I had a million dollars to spend on our wedding, I wouldn't have changed a thing. Liberty made our wedding PERFECT! Don't waste your money anywhere else. Don't waste your time being hassled by companies that nickel and dime you for everything. Don't let someone coordinate your wedding who could care less about what you want. Just call them, you won't believe how amazing they are. Tell them Jeff Hitaffer sends his love!

Really couldn't have asked for more. The staff, namely Kelly Kurtyka, helped us through every step and always made time to answer questions or make suggestions. Communication was wonderful thoughout the process. The day of our wedding went smoothly and the food was excellent. So happy with the outcome!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Liberty Mountain Resort. We were so pleased with the way our wedding turned out. Liberty Mountain is such a beautiful and well maintained venue. We can not say enough about Kelly Kurtyka, she is wonderful. She handled everything for us and took the time to answer all of our questions. Our wedding was located at Boulder Ridge and I cant begin to tell you how awesome it is. I know that we are so happy with the location we chose for our wedding.

I would recommend Liberty Mountain to any bride. The Boulder Ridge Lodge was amazing with beautiful views from every direction. The staff and service were excellent and I cannot say enough great things about Kelly Kurtyka.

I recently held my ceremony and reception at the Boulder Ridge Lodge on Ski Liberty. We were married on May 7th, 2011, and i was so concerned it would rain on our special day. However, the weather was amazing and perfect, and MaryAnn, our coordinator for the day, was great at keeping us on track. It was nice to have someone there to guide us and go to with any issues. The ceremony site is absolutely gorgeous, and the Boulder Ridge Lodge at night was amazing as well. My photographer was even excited about all the outside shots he was able to get. We also took pictures on the golf course, which was very pretty, and alot of fun to ride in the golf carts!

Perfect site for your wedding!

If you are planning a wedding anywhere in south central PA or near the Baltimore/DC area, do yourself a favor and look into Liberty. Our wedding was the most amazing day from the planning period to the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and reception plus afterparty/Sunday brunch, and there was no haggling on price to make our 150+ guest wedding affordable for us. Your guests will love you for keeping everything so easy for them, all in once place and the pictures are gorgeous, taken around the base area of the ski resort - so unique! (If you want a great photographer, try Tony Gibble Photography...they did a wonderful job for us here!) One last comment would be that if you cannot get the Boulder Ridge venue (it's very popular and often booked a year or more out) look into getting married on the front side of the mountain on the deck at the base of the mountain. The views are gorgeous and the reception room is huge - bigger than Boulder Ridge and newly refinished to give a more lodge-like feel similar to the Boulder Ridge lodge. I loved Ski Liberty!! The venue was beautiful!! I had my cermony outside and the reception was inside Boulder Ridge Lodge. The staff was so accomdating and very flexible. I really couldn't have been more pleased with the service. I'm really glad that I decided to have my wedding at Liberty Mountain!!!

This is an exceptional venue with top-rate staff. Liberty Mtn was one of the first places we booked when we got engaged, and the staff worked with us on every detail. There were no hitches, and the lead consultant (Kelly Kurtyka) was very accountable on all details and timing. I would highly recommend this venue for receptions or other events.

This site was a hidden gem! We came across it at the Baltimore Bridal Expo, where we met > Kelly Kurtyka. She showed me that a ski lodge in the spring could be a beautiful place. All the places in Baltimore that I had to compare this location to were twice as expensive for 1/2 as much. They handled the ceremony, the cocktail hour and the reception, without much for us to do but meet with them a few times. We had a choice for the site for the ceremony and reception and chose their more private location called Boulder Ridge. The weather cooperated perfectly, and we had the most beautiful outdoor ceremony that i could have wanted. There was a gazebo area, and a stone paved area for the seating, so no mud or grass to deal with. They supplied the chairs for the ceremony as well for a small fee. The staff on site handled the entire event with precision and detail, mainly due to the fact that we weren't able to have a rehearsal due to another wedding at the location the night before, we really needed that extra guidance. There was a tiny glitch with the cake and flowers not making it in the right amount of time, so the staff stepped right in an placed my flowers on my cake without a moments hesitation. The service was excellent, professional, and personal. They also catered the event as well, and the food was awesome! We had fillet minion and Crab cakes, that were done 'Maryland style" and being in Pa, they were quite good! They made sure that even though we were running behind schedule that we didn't' feel rushed. My husband and I were still there after the last guest had left and I got to watch their clean up procedures, and I was quite amused how they all worked together with the efficiency of a machine to put away all the tables and chairs. Liberty Mountain made our special day as close to effortless as a wedding can be, and we thank them all so very much!!

Overall, I was extremely happy with how everything went the day of my wedding. Our day of coordinator was fantastic. She made sure everything went absolutely perfect. The planning before hand was a little chaotic..our person to contact didn't quite know what she was doing, it seemed like. She was very nice..but very unorganized. Hopefully, with more practice, she will be better!

I had my wedding at Boulder Ridge Lodge at the resort and it was absolutely beautiful for a ceremony and the lodge for the reception was beautiful with a cozy feel. The atmosphere was perfect, and the staff did a great job with coordinating everything. I didn't feel stressed about any of the major details, as they were there to guide you throughout the entire process.

My husband and I had our reception in the Alpine Room on April 30, 2011. The hotel and scenery itself was beautiful. What I didn't like was the fact that they didn't really care to help me with anything. We were out of town guests, and when we booked our reception, we were told there would be sufficient room for our 157 guests, and there wasn't. The day that I arrived, I went to the Alpine Room to set up and an hour later I was greeted by my coordinator Mary Anne, who was wonderful at first. I thought I was in the clear. At the reception, she barely showed her face. She didn't get us to cut the cake, do the bouquet or garter toss, parent dances, etc. The bartender, Terry, on the other hand, was wonderful. She always made sure we were taken care of. We paid for an open bar, and they ran out of beer, and then acted like it was our fault when my husband asked why there was none left. An open bar is UNLIMITED, or am I confused? I did not care for how the consultant, Deanna Painter, conducted business with me personally. She rarely answered emails on time, or contacted me to see if I needed assistance. I understand everyone is busy and has a job to do, but she really only contacted us if she needed something or was responding to a question.I am most disappointed with Liberty Mountain is the Front Desk Hotel Staff. We had a suite for the night of our wedding, and check out was 11 am. We had an insane amount of boxes/bags to take to our car, so we didn't get a chance to pack up and check out by 11. At 11:20, they called the room and basically told us to get out. No one offered to help us carry our stuff out, or thanked us for filling up their hotel, and paying well over ten grand for our reception. Thank goodness my family and friends had a great time, no thanks to Liberty Mountain. It's all about the people you are with, and I am thankful for that alone. I definitely would think twice about booking them. They need to work on customer service a little bit more, and less on kicking the bride & groom out the next morning at 11:20.

On the day of our ceremony, the food service & set up was very good. I did not like how the consultant, Deanna Painter, conducted business with me personally. I would have an appointment set up with her & she would be 15 minutes or more LATE. This is unacceptable. to me. I contacted her 3 different times & days to talk to her and it took her 1 whole week to finally call me back or even by email. I can not believe she is the Director Of Sales Consultant with her lack of professionalism & responsiveness. With this event being an important moment of MY LIFE, I feel she just didn't care & would make up excuses for her lack of commitment. I think this the facility is perfect with a great wait staff but the before details & personel to be unacceptable.
