Shane did a wonderful job! He was on time for the wedding and very precise with his work! He didnt miss anything! We loved the video and cried and laughed all at the same time! We loved it and would recommend him to anyone for sure!

We were not going to do a video because of the cost, but a friend of mine convinced me to at least meet with a few videographers before making up my mind. I looked at some web sites and packages and just didn't see any quality that matched the cost. Then I found Shane. We met with him and saw some of his previous work which we were impressed with. He was very nice and very informative about the benefits of having a video. So we decided to go ahead and book him. I am SO glad we did.

Over the next few months we really got to know Shane. He went to the farm to get a feeling of what the wedding day would be like. He made an effort to get to know us and find out exactly what we wanted out of the video, so that it would be so much more personal. He really went out of his way to make everything special.

The Video - Well, let me just say this...since we had a small wedding, we had another small reception a few weeks after the wedding for some friends and family who didn't come to the ceremony. Since we wouldn't have the complete video before the reception, he made us a short highlights video to take with us. I cried the first time I saw it...so did my husband and so did everyone at the reception. It was amazing and got rave reviews. It captured everything that we felt that day. Everyone wanted to know who the videographer was.

Later we got the entire video and it was no less perfect than the short highlight film. We love watching it over and over again. In fact, it was so great that we spoke to several different friends months after our wedding who had happened to find Shane, but didn't know that he had done our wedding. When they met with him, he showed our video and they all said they cried and of course booked him. Now, even my cousin who lives in Macon, GA is using him rather than finding someone in her area.

You just can't go wrong with Life Productions. You also can't go wrong with getting a video of your wedding. I'm so thankful to my friend for convincing me to do it, and I am even more thankful to Shane for doing such an amazing job.

I have told Shane at Life Productions several times since my 2005 wedding that his service was the best decision I made! His professionalism, creativity and willingness to work well with all wedding vendors involved made for a perfect result. His quality Cinematography style shines through from the moment the video begins and holds you captive the entire time!

My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Life Productions. Shane is great to work with. We absolutely LOVED our feature film; the music, the moments captured, the editing, and quality had me misty-eyed almost immediately! Shane is extremely talented and well worth your time and money. I was very pleased with my wedding video! The only problem was that I finally got to see it after a year of being married! It took an extremely long amount of time to receive the video.

Life Productions specializes in Outdoor Mountain Weddings in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and North Georgia. We love Shabby Chic but feel just as comfortable producing a formal event at the Biltmore in Atlanta.

What You Get!

Weddings are it. It's all I do. Its a full time job and I love it. This means I will answer the phone when you call. If I can't get to the phone I will call you back within the hour. There are many low cost Add-Ons that can make your wedding film even better. Wedding Day Trailers are produced and posted online within one week of your wedding day. The Wedding Day Highlight, a 5-7 minute film, can be produced and uploaded within one month of your big day. These are two great ways to show off your day to all your family and friends while everyone is still excited and talking about the wedding. We can also create your wedding film in any format so you can watch it on your computer, you iPhone, you iPad... virtually anywhere.

We are producing both Feature Films and Documentary style wedding films.

Describe any special editing services you offer:

I am not exactly sure what is meant here by special editing services? All of our films, including the documentary are edited and produced at the highest quality available. We take the time to review all of the footage and piece together an entertaining reproduction of your wedding day. Our Feature Films include only the best of the best of the wedding day. Our Feature Films normally are around 20 - 25 minutes long but include all the best of the best of the wedding day and edited in such a way that nothing is missed.

Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?

We do have lighting equipment, with dimmers. We understand how to light a dimly lit reception without taking away from the ambiance of the evening.

How many videographers do you work with?

Our Feature Films will always utilize 2 videographers.

Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?

If it is important to the client, they are certainly welcome to meet with the videographers. Unless otherwise specified, the videographers will be myself and my second shooter.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Unless otherwise agreed upon at booking, I will always be present at the actual event.

Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

I will not book myself for more than one event in a single day. I have, on rare occasions, booked up to 2 events on a given weekend.

Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the event day?

Although lucky for me this has never happened to me, emergencies can happen. I have in my network a group of videographers that can be available to shoot in the instance of an emergency which would keep me from shooting the event. There are provisions in my contract that address this situation.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

On the day of I will have my cameras, of course, audio capture equipment, tripods, monopods and a glidecam. We also incorporate a slider. We will bring lights and various lenses.

Do you bring backup equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

In a full day of filming a wedding, we do specify on our contract that the client provide us a meal. Other than dinner, we do not take breaks.

Do you charge overtime?

All of our proposals will have an up to time limit. (up to 8 hours, up to 9 hours, etc..) Any overtime required by the client will be discussed and agreed upon beforehand and will be charged our normal overtime rates.

Do you give access to your raw footage?

We do offer raw footage to our clients as an add-on

Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for deals, contents, etc.?

Yes

Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?

Life Productions is given full artistic rights to the editing process.

How long does it take for the client to get the final video?

We strive to deliver the wedding film with 3 months of the wedding day.

Do you require a minimum number of hours to book?

Prior to booking, we will meet with the couple to discuss the details of the wedding day before submitting a proposal.
