It wasn't until the couple months before the wedding that I realized I actually wanted a videographer for my wedding. Chris was easy to get in touch with and met with me in a timely manner. He came to the rehearsal to get an idea what he was working with before the wedding day, which I thought was a nice touch. Due to some restraints at the church the video did not turn out as I had expected. It took about 4 1/2 months to get the finished product. Since it took longer than expected he gave us a free upgrade on the packaging and an extra disc (3 in total). When we played the discs the audio was really bad and we could hardly make out a word anyone was saying during the ceremony (something to do with the church's sound system and the microphones). Chris immediately fixed the problem using a CD the church had recorded of the ceremony audio through the sound system. Thank goodness he had the forethought to ask for that CD the day of the wedding. We returned the messed up audio DVDs for fixed ones, and ended up with 5 DVDs in total. The end product is ok, nothing groundbreaking, but we do pull it out from time to time to remember the day.

LifeSong Video Productions is committed to provide the best possible product we can. A wedding is first and foremost a religious ceremony and as professionals we are bound by the rules of the church or venue. Often these rules prevent the ideal placement of cameras and microphones. Careful planning, as was the case here, provides for multiple levels of backup to assure that we have the best possible outcome. The issue referred to was actually detected during our quality check and the product was delivered imperfect, only with the permission of the customer. Within one week the replacement disks were in the hands of the customer.

LifeSong is fortunate to have a full schedule during the busy summer wedding season. During this time weddings are edited in the order that they are captured. Occasionally this volume can contribute to longer waits. The industry standard for delivery of a professional wedding film is from 3 to 6 mos depending on volume. LifeSong feels that to rush this production time would be a disservice to the couple. This is a once in a lifetime event. We want to make sure that every detail is correct.

Complete customer satisfaction remains our number one priority. As demonstrated here, regardless of the reasons we will go the extra mile to satisfy our clients as best we can. We feel privileged to be a part of something as special as a wedding day... something we do not take lightly.

Chris and his wife make a great photography team! They were great at my bridal shoot it started out rainy but they stuck it out and got really great shots. I was really impressed with the proofs but the final portrait was just amazing! Chris was very nice to outline every step along the way so I never had to guess as to what he and his team might need the day of my wedding to capture the memories of my day.
The day before the wedding Chris and his team came to the rehearsal at the ceremony/reception site to meet the wedding planner and see the grounds, I was so impressed that everyone quickly began working together to execute all of the plans I had made for my wedding. On the day of the wedding I felt very confidant that Chris and his team were doing a great job. They were very professional, an able to adapt quickly as they needed to. The guys doing the video were so great that I truly almost did not know they were there during the photo shoots, or much any time during the day.
After the wedding Chris kept me up to date on the production of everything and as the proofs came on line, then the picture book. The hardest part was picking out the pictures for the album because they were all really good. When the first part of the video was posted on the website I cried it was beautiful, it is so true that your wedding day is a blur, this video is so artfully done that it is everything you want to remember the way you want to remember it. I know that sounds tacky but if you watch a couple of there video's I promise you will see what I mean.
I have and would recommend Lifesong video productions to my family and friends.

Lifesong Video was very attentive to our needs. We met with Chris and told him what we wanted, and he helped us develop a video that exceeded our expectations! Lifesong was there for my Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding and Reception. We never noticed Chris and crew, and that is a good thing. I have been to weddings where the videographer is blocking views or in the middle of everything. They worked with the Church and vendors to prepare for any obstacles beforehand. Their professionalism allowed me to be at ease. I recommend and will continue to recommend Lifesong Video to future brides. Lifesong has something for every budget. We could not be happier with the final product. We have watched it several times to relive our day.

Lifesong was absoloutly wonderful! They were very flexible and very professional! We couldn't have asked for anything better out of a videographer! I would recommend them to anyone. :)

These guys were excellent!!! I'm very happy with everything they did. Especially the day of my wedding, they made sure that I knew what was going to happen, when and how, and then made sure that I knew I didn't have to worry about anything. One of the easiest, most professional, nicest vendors I had, which is saying a lot because I worked with a lot of nice people!

I am one of those lucky moms to have both of her children get married in the same year, 3 1/2 months apart. After using LifeSong Video for my daughter's wedding, I knew I had to have them for my son's wedding. Hi. My name is Chris Sigmon. Capturing images has always been a passion of mine. As a teenager, I had a dark room and a few good still cameras and I felt that I could frame a nice picture. Well now, later in life, I have found that “moving” video has become my calling. It’s always been a dream of mine to capture weddings and other “life events” on video. So together with my lovely wife, Martha, and my creative partner and friend, Bill Walton, I formed LifeSong Video Productions. We thought long and hard about the name and finally settled on LifeSong after hearing a song by the same name. To us, the name LifeSong embodies what we feel about the importance of our work… to use our gifts in the visual arts to help preserve your “life’s song”. In the event of budget constraints, we will customize a package which will employ us to capture your wedding and deliver to you the unedited footage. As money permits, you can choose to have us edit all segments or specific segments of your wedding at an additional cost.

Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?

A small on camera light may be used during the reception, but each ceremony is filmed using only existing light.

How many videographers do you work with?

At every event we will use at least two videographers.

Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?

Yes, we are very meticulous planners. We require at least one, usually two face to face planning meetings so that we are absolutely certain that we capture your event just as you imagine it.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes, my partner and I will personally meet with you to plan, tape and edit your ceremony.

Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

We do not schedule more than one wedding per day.

Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the event day?

Yes, we have a reserve list of videographers ready to step in, in the event of illness..

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

Depending on the package you choose, will will bring from 2 to three HDV or SD digital video cameras, and associated wireless audio recording equipment. These cameras are among those of the highest quality available, and are designed to be inconspicuous while recording at the highest fidelity in typical low light conditions found at most weddings.

Do you bring backup equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

All video and audio are recorded from multiple sources. This makes sure that we don't have gaps in your video due to a single point of failure.

Do you charge overtime?

each package is customized to the specifications of the couple. Because we spend so much time getting to know the bride and the way she imagines her end product, we rarely "underestimate" the time we need to spend. Additional hours are available at a reasonable cost in the event that they are needed.

Do you give access to your raw footage?

Yes, raw footage is available for an additional charge

Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for deals, contents, etc.?

Yes, we do reserve the right to use your edited ceremony in future promotions.

Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?

In the weeks following your ceremony, we ask that you complete an extensive questionnaire describing in detail for us what you desire in your final edit. Once the rough edits are done, you will have a chance to view them and request edits.

How long does it take for the client to get the final video?

Typically the edited video will be in your hands 12 - 16 weeks after your event. Remember, this is the video of a lifetime, so much care must be given to getting everything just right. This time may be shorter or longer depending on the current production schedule.

Additional Advice

Will you attend the rehearsal?
Yes, it is important for our staff to meet the event participants as well as the officiant. We will need to evaluate the facility and plan for the best and most inconspicuous placement for cameras and microphones.

Do you tape other activities that are not held at the church or reception hall?
Yes. Coverage at alternate locations such as preparations or receptions are all covered. See our pricing for details.

Do you interview guests at the reception?
We are careful not to offend any of your guests. We will do interviews at the customers request. We ask that interview participant permission be obtained before the event.

Do you require a retaining fee for your services?
Yes, you are asked to pay for our services in three equal payments. The first payment is due in order to hold your event date on our schedule, the second installment is due 2 weeks prior to your event, and the final installment is due on the day of the event.

Can we select music for you to use in the editing process?
Yes. We will allow you to choose songs that are special to you. We also can select music for you that will closely match the mood our video is attempting to create. This is totally up to the customer.

Can we have special photos, slides or home video edited into our wedding video?
Yes! We specialize in creating your Love Story. In this video we'll use photos, home video of your childhood and combine it with current video and music to tell your love story.

How long will the edited tape be?
Finished event videos could be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on what and how you'd like your video produced. During the approval phase of the project you will have input on just how long your video will be.
