I just can't say enough positive things about the amazing service and experience Lifetyme Portraits gave to us. Our photographer was quick and thorough and kept us having fun with it. Instead of taking time away from our the festivities, we felt she added to it. Everything about the experience was top notch class. From the initial phone call and meeting, to receiving a disk of all the photos just days after the wedding. And finally, the photos themselves are exquisite, some formals mixed with photo journalistic, to good old fashion fun photos of us and our family and friends. Couldn't have asked for more! Looking forward to getting our albums toogether! Thank you Lifetyme!!

Lifetyme Photo & Video went over and beyond for our very special day. Both our photographers Lynnette and Tony were fabulous. After viewing their work I can tell you they were worth every cent.

We are extremely satisfied with the service we got from Lifetyme. Our actual photographer was Stan and he was phenomenal. He did a great job getting our 4yr old flower girl (who can be very difficult at times) to cooperate. I would highly recommend Jay and his Lyfetyme crew to anyone.

We went to Lifetyme after a few people at my job recommended them. Our first visit, I'll admit, I was a little blown away by the price, but Jay did not pressure me stating to go home, do some more research and see how we compare to other photo/video vendors. That is exactly what we did, and we found that Jay had given us the best pricing for everything in our package. Jay and his staff have treated my husband and I like we are family throughout our planning process, and we couldn't appreciate it enough, I had a TON of questions. The day of our wedding and we met Stan our photographer he was the best, he made everyone laugh and feel comfortable. He was kind enough to fill all of our photo requests and still do the customary ones. We received our disc of all the images and we were blown away, the photos are just gorgeous! We cannot wait to get our album!

Lifetime photo had the right price and explained everything up front. There were no hidden fees or drama. The process was smooth going but there were four things we were dissatisfied with... 1. We never met our photo and video guys until the 'Big' day, which bothered me 2. The photographer didn’t get a lot of important pictures we requested after we gave a detailed list. 3. The pictures were nice but the shots were off with a lot of the pics. with the lighting and we had a lot of pictures with members not looking or not placed properly. There were a lot of unwanted objects in many pictures that the photographer should have seen and placed us elsewhere or where the shot would not catch the unwanted background. To name a few unwanted background items; a wall AC unit, the shadows of a ceiling fan, fog lights in our outside pictures by the lake, and a flash in my Mothers hair which was the only good shot of my Mother and I out of only 3 mother daughter shots and then they wanted to charge $200.00 just to fix the white dot in my Mothers hair from the flash (which was their fault) when I know on Vista Print it's an easy fix and besides that don’t professional photographers have the special markers for quick fixes??? 4. I found out later after the wedding that the photographer lost his patience with some of the bride’s family members which was unacceptable despite how hectic it was! Maybe that's why so many pictures didn't come out good!Everything was smooth in the beginning but after waiting 24 weeks (six months)for the pictures and not being happy with most of the pictures (out of 600 shots)was a annoying. So Brides order your THANK YOU cards from a seperate vendor! Other than that our video quality was great and there wasn’t any excess video that didn’t need to be there, no background noise or interruptions. Their discretion was used wisely in the editing of the video and we are very happy with our video!

We used Lifetyme photo and video because of a recommendation from the wedding hall we chose. the matrede of the facility told us they were great and he had personally used them and had fantastic results. Being that this was such an important event in our lives and after hearing our friends tell us horror stories about their experiences, we wanted to use someone who can with a good recommendation. We initially went to our first meeting not knowing what to expect with price and quality, and ended up leaving feeling great about our decision to use them. The week leading to the wedding, the photographer called and went over everything that we needed to have ready for the big day. He calmed my nerves and made me excited to get these pictures taken. he was extremely familiar with the area we lived as well as the park we wanted to take pictures in so I felt confident that he would be great. On the day of the wedding he came earlier then expected which was great and began our picture taking. The entire time he was there with the bridal party he had us laughing and joking around. I had no doubt in my mind that the pictures would be coming out great. After finally seeing the final product of all of our pictures we absolutely fantastic. He was able to capture all of the moments that were the most special as well as take those candid shots that really the day. The only thing I was disappointed with was my engagement photo shoot. The pictures were done in studio and were too posey posey. Knowing our personalities this was not something that we are really into. They looked so unlike the two of us. It wasn't anything the photographer would have known going into it but we were slightly disappointed with those outcomes and ended up not ordering any of them. All in all we were both very happy with how the wedding photos came out and would use them again if the need presented itself.

Stan was very friendly and helpful, when my wife got black frosting on her dress he was quick with a shout wipe to her rescue. However there were times we were looking around and could not find him when needed and other times he was dancing on the floor with us instead of taking pictures of us. As for the pictures, we were given over 600 unedited pictures on a cd; of these pictures a lot of them were bad angels or awkward lighting where things appeared to be different colors then reality. Over all we chose lifettyme b/c of their cost. We were on a tight budget and they offered the lowest price.

This is the second time I've used Lifetyme Photo & Video. They are very accommodating and give terrific service. Our photographer was energetic and he seemed to be everywhere without being intrusive. Even my guests made positive comments about him! It was also great to see Jay. He popped in to make sure everything was going as I had hoped. And, of course, the pictures are fabulous!

Vic and his partner where absolutely wonderful... I loved our pictures...

They did a fabulous job for my October wedding. Jay met with us before the wedding and worked with us regarding cost and items within our package. Stan the photographer was better then I could have imagined. Got all the shots I requested, was great with the kids and really had a great eye to capture amazing moments of our day!
I would 100% recommend.

We were married last summer and Lifetyme Photo and Video certainly helped make our experience a memorable one. Everyone at the studio was extremely helpful during the signing and planning process. Jay, the owner, went out of his way to make my fiance and me feel like we were truly becoming part of his "family". As we left the studio, we got a feeling unlike any other studio we visited. When it came time for the ceremony and reception, a ton of stress was involved. However, we felt none of the stress came from the photography part of our wedding. The two photographers at our wedding were incredible. They were personable, as well as professional and managed their time and our time extremely well. Lifetyme is highly recommended!!

Just wanted to let you all know that I had a fantastic photographer at my wedding on August 2nd. Lifetyme Photo and Video is located in Highland Park, NJ, which is convenient for most of New Jersey as well as New York. They were easy to work with right from the beginning, offering help and advice whenever my new husband (!!) or I needed it. They were affordable, yet nothing looked cheap. The business is very family oriented. The owner took over the business from his father roughly 20 years ago. The big day arrived and not only were they on time, but they were early and they stayed late just to make sure everything I wanted was taken care of. Lifetyme Photo and Video captured my day in a way I never thought possible. My pictures are beautiful, I have so many to choose from I don't know how I'm going to cut it down to make an album! So, I am giving my full recommendation of Lifetyme Photo and Video to all the brides-to-be in the tri-state area. Give them a call! 732-247-6622 or check out the website www.lifetymeportraitsandvideo.com.

Lifetyme Photography was a last minute decision for us. We had originally chosen Celebrations Studios, which was a photography/videography company that declared chapter 11 bankruptcy causing hundreds of brides & grooms (including us) to loose their money. Naturally we were skeptical when booking another photographer. But everyone at Lifetyme was extremely understanding of our situation and they went out of their way to help us make our wedding pictures beautiful and affordable. We booked them at last minute, but it was a wonderful decision. Our wedding album came out beautiful and everyone compliments me on how amazing our photographs were.

We are writing this review to let people know of our experience at Lifetyme Photo & Video. First, let me begin by telling you a little history, my family has used Lifetyme for over 20 years. We used them for both my sister and my Bat Mitzvah and for both of our weddings. Not only have we used them 3 times previously but we have also recommended a lot of family friends to them as well. So needless to say we have given them a lot of business over the years. Now let me get to the reason why I am writing this. This past time working on my wedding, I was very disappointed. Our first appointment was with my parents, and all that was discussed was the package (what we would get for our $). My mother told them that she didnt want us to be nickel and dimed later on because this was a gift. The only exception was we could not have a digital album from what we understood. As a matter of fact, when my husband and I began to look at the albums we were told to not worry about that now. So with that being said we left and felt like we were taken care of. Months go by and the wedding is over and when we went back for our second appointment, guess what we find out!! Our package does not include the album that my husband and I finally decided on . Was it a digital album? NO! So I dont understand. All I do understand is that we had to pay another $300! I couldnt believe it! I called my parents to let them know what happened and let me tell you, they were very upset! They both called Lifetyme on different occasions. They told my parents that I picked out a different album that first appointment. You know, the day they told us NOT to look at the albums. They say we specifically chose the Gallery album, we didnt even know the names of the different albums! How could we have told them that was what we wanted. The fact is, there was a miscommunication and we felt we were the ones who got the short end of the stick. This whole experience has left a bitter taste in our mouth and next time we need a photographer we will look elsewhere. EDIT: Response to Lifetymes responseWe decided to write another review to clear a few things up mentioned in the comment left from Lifetyme. We were very happy with the service in the past, but unfortunately the past is the past. Things have changed! When 3 people call upset to say that we never picked out an album, that probably means it didnt happen. I guess the customer isnt always right!Another thing, it was mentioned that Lifetyme gave us all of these great things. We did get the promotion, as did everyone else who was contracted at that time. As for the 6 extra pictures in the album and 2 additional 11x14 wall portraits, it was never mentioned that we were going to get $75 off. As a matter of fact, it says nothing of the sort in our contract. Yes, the oval invitation and 11x14 color tinted picture (just the tinting) were given to us in exchange for the album (which doesnt even come close in price). But the truth is, we never wanted color tinting; we wanted a black and white picture where everyone around us was out of focus. According to Diane, she was going to e-mail us the picture before it was printed to see if we liked it. Did that happen, NO! It was printed without any confirmation from us. We took it in the end because personally and professionally we had enough of dealing with Lifetyme. Now let me get to the things that were in our contract that we never received. We never received our wallets or our black and white picture for the newspaper. Lastly, we would like to say that some of the things mentioned in the comment did not pertain to the matters discussed in our review. We feel as though, if you are going to respond to a review, you should respond to the content. The comments left were taken to a personal level which shows the lack of professionalism one will see if they decide to go with Lifetyme Photo & Video.
Vendor response to review
This is in response to your letter and thank you card that was left on my desk about your experience with Lifetyme Photo & Video. First of all thank you to your family for using us in the past and referring friends and family to Lifetyme. I am sure everyone was well taken care of and very happy, otherwise you wouldnt have continued to recommend us. As far as calling me disrespectful and money hungry, I take great offense to that. On the contrary, if you look back into your paperwork from your wedding, you will see that I gave you our promotion which saved you $718.00 off of our standard package. Also when you wanted 6 more pictures in your album and 2 additional 11x14 wall portraits I gave you an additional $75.00 off. Also we gave you the oval invitation (a $100.00 value) and the 11x14 in black and white with color tinting (a $100.00 value) for free. Does this sound like someone who is money hungry? We just expect to get paid for what we provide, both in services and product. If you wanted the same album as your sister, then I would have included it in the price since your mom stated that she didnt want to be nickel and dimed later. The fact of the matter was you and Andy said the gallery album, which I pointed out to you, was what you liked. You didnt want to spend anymore than needed. I did tell you though that you can upgrade your album later after the wedding if you changed your mind, as I tell every single customer. Upgrade means at an additional charge. As a matter of fact your sister originally chose a flush library album in her original package and then upgraded to a reversible library album for an additional $150.00. Now, pertaining to your appointment with Diane to set up your album, you chose at this point to upgrade from the gallery album to the reversible library album at a cost of $300.00 NOT $600.00 as you stated. You are correct in that your mom and then your dad called me about the album you chose. It didnt fall on deaf ears. I listened to their concerns and then told them that you chose an upgraded album that cost more money. If you had told me you wanted the reversible library album in the beginning then I would have charged you for it at that point. We are not here to mislead anyone. If a customer wants something we have a price for it and we charge accordingly. Why wouldnt I have added it up front if in fact the reversible library album was the album you and Andy liked? Secondly, the turn around time has not been 7 months as you state. You came in to set up your album on 10/20/07. We sent you a completion letter on 3/14/08 advising everything was done. It took a little longer because we called you on 12/10/07 to view your album and you came in to approve it on 12/27/07. We asked you to bring an invitation and we received it on 1/16/08. So part of the 4 ½ months this took was caused by you and Andy. As a matter of fact your dad called to find out at some point to ask why it was taking so long and when Diane explained to him that we had to wait on the invitation, he apologized for yelling at her about this. Also, calling me a liar, disrespectful, money hungry, and treating you and your family with a lack of respect is slander and libel. My lawyer advised me that I could sue you for this if in fact you hit send as you have threatened to do. You have the product you chose and Lifetyme should be paid for all of it, otherwise it is stealing and blackmailing me and my company. If you want to hide behind the internet where there is no accountability, face, or name involved go right ahead, but just be warned that I will pursue the actions that my lawyer has advised. One last thing, if this was bothering you so much than why didnt you call me at ANY point in time instead of your mom and dad. When you came in to pick up your finished order, you could have talked to me then in person. Instead you chose not to for whatever reason, but you had a letter already written and cowardly placed it on my desk with your threat of hit send. So you are trying to threaten and extort me for the final money due Lifetyme. I dont appreciate it at all.

We booked them at a bridal show and got a discounted package. We used them for both photography and videography. They were great on the day of the wedding. Took tons of pictures so there were enough to choose from. The videographer was not a hinderance and was barely noticeable during the night. Prices are somewhat high, but that is probably for all photographers.

Our experience with Lifetyme Photo was AMAZING!! Not only did they accept a "must take" photo list, but they made recommendations about the "flow" of the day and certain posed pictures. Our photographer was so funny and flexible, but extremely professional in every respect. During the ceremony and reception he was unobtrusive, but got incredible shots. We were on a very tight budget as we were paying for the entire wedding and honeymoon ourselves. Lifetyme provided the right mix of posed and candid shots for an extremely reasonable fee. We still get compliments on our pictures and people are blown away that we only spent around $1600.

I have used Lifetyme (photographer - Lynnette) for a wedding and two Bar Mitzvahs. I recommended her to a friend for a Bat Mitzvah. She is excellent! The owner, Jay, worked with me to get packages that were within my budget for all of the events.

Lifetyme did an unbelievable job with my wedding. Both myself and my husband were more than happy. I was reading the other reviews on this site, and wanted to respond. I agree with both women who gave Lifetyme great reviews, but wholly disagree with the bad review. Money hungry is furthest from the truth. I thought Lifetyme was extremely reasonably priced, and for the quality of work they did, may not have charged us enough, lol. Also, as far as we are concerned, they are completely respectful and professional, from the owner on down. Now on to the wedding day... Our photographer was a blast! It was so much fun to take pictures with him. I thought I would be stressing all day, but he really helped me out with everything. The pictures all came out great and so did our album. Not to mention, everything was finished pretty quickly. We got EVERYTHING we were promised, and even ordered some extra stuff for our family because it came out so well. I would definitely use Lifetyme again, and recommend them to anyone who is getting married!!
GUEST

Wonderful!! Completely reasonable. Our pictures were beautiful and our "coffee table" album was done so well. EVERYTHING in our album was taken from our pictures. We picked out our pics and they did the rest. They were extremely professional and listened to our requests and needs. Our photographer (Roger?) was terrific - he had a great sense of humor and taking pictures was a blast with him. He even followed me and my grad school friends to the bar to take a pic of us doing a shot. Very flexible and go with the flow. The video is more "home like" - which is great for us. We really wanted something simple to capture the day and everyone. There are so many options to make your package affordable or totally extravagant. I would use them again.

I write this review as a bride looking back, and I think it's imporant to let other brides know what they can expect from this vendor years down the road. I am the girl in the poster sized picture if you attend wedding fairs that is standing on the steps in the Excelsior with an EXTREMELY LONG veil that's rather big as well. This vendor MADE my day. They were on time, polite, courteous and more than that, helped guide me through my day, keep me calm and ensure we received the VERY BEST pictures and attention. They are very reasonably priced for the quality you are guarenteed to receive. Guarenteed. It's been three years since my wedding and my husband and I look at our wedding album and still smile with the great memories of our experience with Lifetyme. The pictures have not faded or worn, the bindings still hold like new. The leather and gild edges are in perfect condition with minimal care required. My photographer showed up when he said he would, literally held my hand, was kind and coureteous, and patient on a very stressful day. I cannot reccomend them enough to everyone. They completed my album quickly and package beautifully. And a word to the brides: If they don't have the information they need, or you take too long returning your proofs to them and working with them to select your package, BLAME YOURSELF. When they have what they need from you, they will exceed your expectations faster than you think. I grew up looking at the portraits in their studio. There was never a doubt for who would capture my special day. There's a reason they've been in business so long. They do excellent work and they treat you like family. Thanks to them, my day will ALWAYS be beautiful! Much love to Jay and Diane from Frank and Ginny!

I was highly demanding and they still helped me! I had them for an entire day from 8 am-9 pm and they stopped only to eat and travel to different locations. The entire day it rained and they rearranged their schedule around the weather. They toke pictures outside during the five minutes without rain and got all of them in! Amazing, get the video montage at the end! It still makes me tear up.
Wow!! What can I say...Jan Grosholz (owner) is awesome!! My Bride Jennifer Castro was captured just beautifully. We did her hair and make up and he captured it all!! The photograph of Jennifer overlooking the bannister was amazing!! I suggest a lot of photographers but Jan is one of the best. Jennifer said he was good and I agree. I wouldn't pass his studio up in a minute. I highly recommend everyone to see his work. It speaks for itself. Thank you Jan. Look forward to working with you in the future.
