As a professional wedding photographer myself, choosing someone to capture my wedding was more difficult than I thought it would be! After months of looking, we decided that it had to be Cory & LaRae, and we even flew them 3,000 miles to the east coast so that they could be the team capturing our wedding weekend. They did a great job, and, as they were friends of ours already, it was extra comfy having them at our intimate celebratory weekend! They both bring something special to the craft of wedding photography, and they put people at ease with their constant smiles and personalities. If you're looking for a unique product, and a pleasure of an experience, I recommend them highly!

Corey & LaRae were great to work with in our wedding. They were midrange in price, but for the money we got three photographers (2 + assistant) and half a day of shooting. They have more of an artistic style versus photo-journalist or staged style.
"We're astonished at how vividly we can relive our wedding through your photography, you truly captured the overwhelming love and emotion of that day.
We were just in Walla Walla last week and had so many memories of our wedding. It was great remembering how much fun we had and how wonderful it is that we have such great photos to look back on. I CAN NOT tell you enough how much we love our wedding photos."
The evening before their wedding, Matt and Mercy treated an intimate gathering of guests to a surprise overnight stay at the Sagecliffs at Cave B Inn, a three-hour drive from Seattle. Nestled in the center of its sprawling vineyard, Sagecliffs is perched above the Columbia River Gorge in central Washington State. At sunset, all toasted to the next day’s festivities.
The next morning everyone enjoyed a scenic drive through the rolling hills of the agricultural region of Washington and arrived at the historic Marcus Whitman Hotel in Walla Walla. A brief and heartfelt ceremony at the local District Courthouse was followed by two days of fine dining and wine tasting at some of the region’s best vineyards. The couple arranged a special tour of the prestigious Pepper Bridge Winery as a special treat for their guests.
Their mid-week wedding was truly a getaway to remember!

"The photos are beautiful. You guys did such an incredible job and were there to capture everything."
Brian and Andrea began their day with a romantic horse-drawn open carriage ride through Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square neighborhood and Occidental Park, ending under the impressive arched entrance of the Court in the Square.
Their cosmopolitan urban style wedding took place in a room filled with natural light pouring through the Court’s five-story glass-enclosed architecture. The emotional and spirit filled ceremony took place in front of the reflecting pond with gerbera daisies and floating candles adding to the dreamy atmosphere.
Immediately after the ceremony, the couple was whisked away to the rooftop for a private moment alone enjoying sunset with Seattle’s towering skyline as their private backdrop.
Rejoining their guests, the bride and groom enjoyed their reception mingling with guests and dancing around the Court’s historic glowing streetlamps.
Their wedding has been featured in Seattle Metropolitan Bride and Groom Magazine, Winter/Spring 2008 issue:

FAQ for Lifework Images
We also offer Hardcover Proof Books - all the images from your engagement session and wedding look great in our 10x8? hardcover proof book with custom dust jacket and reference numbers for easy ordering.
Yes – all weddings by Lifework Images are photographed by both LaRae and Cory Lobdell.
Is there a limit to the number of photos for your service?
No – we shoot continually all day. We typically average 350-500 final original images at a 6 hour wedding.
Will all photos be digital?
Yes – we made the switch from film to digital two years ago after extensive research and education. We shoot only in RAW format. Shooting RAW is like shooting film. It gives us the latitude to "develop" images as we would with film. Our digital darkroom includes the most up-to-date software and techniques to ensure quality, artistic creativity and beautiful final products.
What format are the full-resolution photos (jpeg, raw)?
The final high-resolution files available for purchase are in TIFF format. JPEG is not a stable archiving format and deteriorates over time. We keep the RAW files backed up in three places, one of which is off site.
Are the full-resolution photos unedited?
We do edit our images to the “best of your day” and take out blinks, bad expressions, etc. The high-resolution files include all the final edited images, are color-corrected proof images in TIFF format and are ready to take to your professional photo lab.
Do the proof book, preview disc, and web viewing include all photos?
Yes – the proof book contains all the images 4-up on a page with easy reference numbers for ordering. The image preview disc contains all your images at 800 pixels at the longest side and are 72 pixels per inch – these are perfect for viewing quickly on your computer and sharing via emails and websites with friends and family. The web viewing and ordering service through Pictage includes all your images to view, order and share with friends and family online (password protected for your privacy).
How long after the wedding would the images and album be ready?
The proof book and web service will be ready four to six months from your wedding date (web service remains up for one year of the release date). At this same time we release an album design for your approval. Once we receive your approval on the design, the final album takes an additional four to six months to deliver to you. High resolution files are delivered with the final album.
Have an open line of communication with your photographer before your wedding and during the event.
Make sure you get along and have fun with the photographer(s) you are working with - they will be by you and your family's side during your entire wedding day - of one of the most imporant days of your life.
Make sure your photographer is shooting in "RAW" format if they are shooting digitally.
Have fun and don't hold your personality back - it is YOUR day to SHINE!
