My flowers were absolutely gorgeous!! Better than I could have imagined! They were so efficient and they knew exactly what I wanted before I KNEW what I wanted. A pleasure to work with and I would stop your search for a florist and use Lilies of the Field!! No better deal and the quality of flowers and the beauty of the arrangements are priceless. They did an amazing job with my wedding flowers! I had a casual, outdoor wedding with a woodsy theme, and did not want anything too fancy or over-the-top. I was given exactly what I asked for. The arrangements were beautiful, yet looked simple and woodsy. When looking through flower pictures, I pointed out certain things I liked, and they were able to put it all together in a gorgeous arrangement. Easy to work and talk with, patient with me, and had tons of great ideas. Everything was handled professionally and promptly. I’m so glad Lilies of the Field was able to do my wedding flowers! It all looked better than I imagined! I still have my brides bouquet and it dried very nicely.

Cindy and Julie of Lilies of the Field were a dream to work with! Their professionalism and creativity added so much to the wedding day. When our son got married I was thrilled that he and Kelly selected Lilies of the Field to provide their flowers. I was familiar with some of Julie's work and knew that she and Cindy would be able to capture the exact feeling of celebration Ross and Kelly were looking for. The team at Lilies of the Field more than exceeded expectations with everything from the unique Scottish thistle boutonniere to the exact color match on the tulip centerpieces I ordered for the rehearsal dinner. What I appreciated the most was the way Julie and Cindy listened to all the input from both sides of the wedding party and then created a harmonious blend of all the wishes. I wanted the rich colors of autumn to inspire the bouquets for my October wedding. My bridesmaids chose their favorite fall colored flower, which Julie and Cindy subsequently crafted into graceful bouquets hand-tied with shimmering orange red organza ribbon.
My bouquet was a stunning mix of terra cotta roses, vibrant red gerbera daisies, a burst of yellow sunflowers, accented with red berries, and hand-tied with shimmering orange red organza ribbon.
Julie and Cindy's creativity, expertise and passion for flowers exceeded my wildest expectations as they masterfully crafted each bouquet to reflect the beauty of our day.

What are the design services offered?
As part of our design services, we along with a team of experienced vendors can assist you with: Overall concept and color palette, tabletop selections, fabric draping, lighting, layout and flow, graphics, linens, furnishings, vendor referrals, favors, gifts, and packaging. furniture, lighting, linens, props, and other décor items. You may hire us for any or all aspects of event design.

Lilies of the Field utilizes only quality products from the finest resources available, hand picking and caring for them from start to finish. We are constantly adding new elements to our repertoire allowing us to stay original and fresh in our designs.
Cindy and Julie, co-owners and designers, work with each client and ask a comprehensive list of questions when taking on a client. This personal interest in a clients cake design, linen choices, and event invitations makes for a more complete understanding of a clients overall needs. In a collaborative effort they excel in this creative energy and collect a library of information, so at a moments notice they can build on the fly.
How do you determine pricing and how should I budget for floral and/or décor?
It is important to remember that there are several variables which comprise pricing - including seasonality, quantity, size of an event, number of guests, design time, type of flowers, containers, location, and props to name just a few. While we love abundant, full flower floral arrangements- remember to keep in mind the higher cost of flowers over foliage and fillers when establishing your budget. If budget is an issue know that you can often get the same abundant look of full flowers using less expensive flowers in non-traditional arrangements.
Although we do not have a set price list, here are some pricing guidelines. On average florals make up 10 percent of your budget and décor 10-20 percent for a total of 20-30 percent of your total wedding budget.
What do I need to know before my consultation?
1. Wedding date & wedding location/venue.
2. Wedding color palette & bridesmaid dress swatch.
3. Photos of wedding flower colors and types and arrangement and bouquet styles you like.
4. Some idea of your wedding flower budget.
Our designers will help with wedding flower choices, wedding flower budget and unique wedding flower ideas for your wedding venue and wedding flower style.
Are you a green business?
Lilies of the Field cares about the environment. We feel grateful that we are in the business of bringing beauty and magic to a wedding or any occasion and because the nature of producing an event is excess, we do all we can to reduce our footprint on the earth.
We compost all of our green waste and recycle and reuse everything we can. What can no longer be reused is donated to charity. We are conscious of the decisions that we make and opt for the more environmentally friendly choice whenever possible. Lilies of the Field supports local businesses and local San Diego growers whenever possible.
