We went back and forth for a while with what we wanted to budget for a photographer, when we finally realized that it is 100% worth it to make that investment. The pictures that are taken at your wedding are the only thing that you will have left after that incredible day flies by and that is something you don't want to overlook. Years later, you'll be able to pull out your album and relive your wedding day.

In saying that, we couldn't have chosen a better photographer than Lisa. She was by far worth every penny and more. From day one, she provided us with ease of mind and advice. The engagement session made for an exciting and worthwhile afternoon and Lisa was able to get a feel for how my husband and I complemented eachother prior to shooting us on the actual wedding day.

Although the wedding day seemed to only last for a matter of seconds, I knew Lisa was on top of capturing each and every moment. That seriously helped me calm down! She also provided advice that we absolutely needed during our wedding frenzy.

We were able to view our photos two weeks after the wedding! From speaking with friends, I have heard of some photographers taking months to provide the wedding pictures. This is not the case with Lisa. She has incredible work ethic, passion for what she does, an eye for details, and delivers quality that you just can't get anywhere else. I highly recommend Lisa to any bride and groom currently planning their wedding. You won't regret it at all! Trust...

Lisa Carpenter is the BEST! Everyone who has seen our pictures swear that they were ripped from the pages of a Vogue magazine. Her work is incredibly stylistic, while at the same time maintaining that classic feel that you want for your wedding photos. Working with Lisa was actually one of my favorite parts of the whole wedding process. All of the planning and logistics can be pretty stressful, but Lisa has the best demeanor when working- she actually calmed me before my walk down the aisle and that is priceless. Lisa is AMAZING! She was an intricate part of my Wedding day! I had an outside wedding on a very humid day in July and despite the heat Lisa did amazing and made sure to capture everyone looking their best in the photos. It is my pet-peeve to attend a wedding and wait two hours on the Bride and Groom to arrive, so I stressed this to Lisa. I wanted a maximum thirty minutes of photos after the wedding. All my friends, family, and even the other vendors did not think this would be possible and expected us to arrive an hour or so after the ceremony. Welp, Lisa got ALLLLL the pictures we wanted and more within the thirty minute time frame. This is the perk of hiring a GREAT photographer that knows what she is doing! You get just as many photos of amazing quality for a much shorter amount of time. Now if you are the bride that wants to model for two hours after the ceremony this is okay as well. Lisa will take as long or as little time as you want with post-wedding pictures. Even I was shocked when she sent me the 1,061 total photos from the wedding! She even came and got my husband and I during the reception (after she checked the schedule to make sure nothing was coming up) and she took us to specific spots she had scoped out. We got some AMAZING pictures within ten minutes, and returned to the reception so quickly the guests didn’t even realize we had left. When my family and I look back on all the money spent for the wedding we all agree booking Lisa as our photographer was by far the best money spent! When the wedding is all said and done, the ice sculptures are melted, the food and drinks are all consumed, all your guests have returned home, all that is left are the AMAZING pictures from the Wedding day! We have the pictures to remember each and every detail of our special day! I love how Lisa even got pictures of many of our guests. There were some guests I saw in the pictures and didn’t even have a chance to speak to because of the amount of people, but thanks to Lisa we have pictures of all the guests having a GREAT time! I consider Lisa more than a photographer. For example, while at my bridal session Lisa not only helped me into my dress, but then the venue had closed before we finished the pictures outside. So, Lisa cranked her SUV up and let me hop in and change out of my dress. Even on my wedding day she helped show my bridesmaids how my dress was supposed to be tied up, while snapping some amazing pictures of the moment getting into my dress. Also, while taking pictures outside after the ceremony guests were coming out into the courtyard, which was not supposed to happen until after the bridal party entered the reception. Lisa saw me getting upset and trying to get the wedding coordinators attention to keep people inside, so Lisa didn’t think twice about voluntarily walking over and handling the situation. She made sure ANYTHING and EVERYTHING my husband and I needed was MORE than taken care of! I sincerely feel like my wedding would not have gone as smoothly and literally been picture perfect had we not had Lisa there! I’ve had other brides even tell me they wish they could get married all over again just to have Lisa as their photographer. Several of my bridesmaids even commented on how Lisa just somehow gets the best angles and makes EVERYONE look amazing in the pictures. My bridal portraits were even featured on a wedding blog, because someone came across them on Lisa’s blog. EVERYONE has commented on how breathtaking the photos of my wedding are and I genuinely believe it’s not the people in the pictures, my husband and I, instead I believe it’s the photographer that captured the amazing photos that made them so stunning. My advice to every bride is to splurge on your wedding day, but if you splurge on anything I would make booking an amazing photographer the number one priority. I can guarantee if you are lucky enough to book Lisa as your photographer you will not have seen yourself ever looking any better than in the photos from your wedding day!

Lisa Carpenter is a wonderful photographer! I would recommend her to everyone! She did a fantastic job of capturing every single detail on our wedding day, and she also did an amazing job on our engagement sessions! She has a way of making pictures look elegant and classy, but also fun and creative. Lisa always went out of her way to meet any expectations that we had, and also got our photos back in a timely manner. She is such an enthusiastic person and a joy to work with! Lisa captured every moment of our wedding with beautiful and magical photos. She brought the day to life and memorialized each moment. When I saw the photos I couldn't get through them without laughing, crying and immediately calling her to thank her for her phenomenal work!!! Lisa is the best vendor that I could have asked for on our wedding day. Having an outstanding photographer was very important to me because I really wanted to document our wedding day with fabulous photos, and every picture Lisa took blew me away.
I believe one of the reasons she is able to take such great pictures is because she makes everyone feel so comfortable on the wedding day. Lisa feels more like a part of the wedding party than a photographer. She blends right in, everyone is able to relax and the pictures really are able to show each person's personality!
Because Lisa is so talented and well liked she does stay really busy with other clients. From engagement sessions, family sessions, fashion photography to wedding days she really keeps her schedule full; but she always makes enough time to make each client feel special. Lisa also took photographs from our engagement session and did out save the date cards, our wedding announcements and reply cards. But my favorite thing about Lisa was the amazing wedding book that we put together after the wedding. Lisa pours over the hundreds of photos from your event and will put together an amazing outline of a wedding book for you. She makes it so easy and shows the day in a way that you are able to feel like you are living it over again!

I was part of a wedding in May where Lisa Carpenter was the photographer. I was so impressed with how she shot the event. She hardly stopped to take a breath. Then I saw the images and was amazed. She captured every moment large and small. She captures the emotion. I was also lucky to be involved in her high-fashion shoot and her ideas were so fun and unique. Her final product embodied the dream of romance and couture. Two of my favorite things. You will love Lisa!
