Choosing Lisa Forman as our wedding photographer was unfortunately my greatest regret about our wedding.
On the positive side, we had a wonderful initial meeting with her, which convinced us that she would be great to work with. She was extremely warm and friendly and her prices were better than any of the other photographers we were considering. She also included an album, which we were really excited about. The day of the wedding itself, she was great to work with. Very easy-going and friendly, and unobtrusive during the key moments of the evening.
That said, the first problem arose during the time in-between the contract signing and the wedding, and then after the wedding. One of the first warning signs came after we had signed the contract. She had agreed to photograph our rehearsal dinner in lieu of the engagement shoot that she usually offers as part of the package. However once I contacted her to finalize the details, she suddenly changed the terms of the agreement, complaining that it was a long drive and that it was pointless to only do an hour worth of photography at the rehearsal dinner. Fine, but definitely something she should have mentioned up front. After a testy e-mail exchange, we ended up paying her extra so that she would come for the amount of time she wanted.
The much greater problem was when we finally got the digital photo proofs after the wedding (which took a while). I was so disappointed. One of the reasons to hire a professional photographer is because presumably they can take photos that most of the rest of us can't. However the quality of the shots, and the number of great pictures ruined by shadows on our faces, or pictures with uninteresting angles was really disappointing. They just didn't look like the crisp photos of other weddings I've seen. Even my mother was unhappy with how they came out. And since the photos are the only thing you have left after the wedding, you really want them to be good.
Once we were ready to make the album, we were in for another round of frustration. I went through the pictures and selected the photos I wanted. However when we received the album from Lisa, there were MAJOR cropping problems. How could a professional do this? People's heads were partially cut off, my brother-in-law was practically cut out of a family photo, artistic shots were chopped short. I mean, really amateur mistakes. When I contacted Lisa to complain, she sent me a very annoyed reply, implying that I should pay for the album to be re-done!!! The process took literally months, and we just received the album now.
My suggestion would be to pay the extra money and hire someone else.

Working with Lisa was truly a pleasure. She did a great job of capturing the wedding the way we had envisioned. She was very quick to respond to any questions we had along the way. She did a wonderful job of listening to what we wanted and making that happen for us. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a photojournalistic style to their wedding photos.

She is extremely talented and we love love love the amazing beautiful pictures of our special day, we can look at the spectacular photos and always remember the joy and feel the love of the day for the rest of our lives. Lisa's work was far beyond anything I could have asked for. Our wedding photos are simply amazing! She captured every special moment, even the ones we didn't realize were happening! We didn't even realize she was there. She was completely unobtrusive. I also had the proofs on-line before I was even home from the honeymoon. I have recommended Lisa Foreman's work to everyone. I will be hiring her again for other special occasions.

Lisa and her team were exceptional. My husband and I wanted very artistic shots, while the mother of the bride wanted very traditional portraiture. Having the opportunity to hire Lisa Forman to photograph our wedding was amazing! She is truly a beautiful person and such a talented photographer. She is professional, very organized, and truly cares about the couple she is photographing. She makes you feel so comfortable around her and we were so grateful to her for that. She is very creative and made our rainy wedding day a minor detail of the day especially when we had to take our portraits.
