Most brides say their wedding day seems rushed and like one big blur. Liss and Bill made our wedding day such an enjoyable and laid back experience and for that, my husband and I are so grateful. They were never pushy or overbearing, and instead, let us do what we wanted and needed to do when we needed to do it and were there for the ride every step of the way, capturing every moment. It is also such a blessing to have two working because they truly do capture everything. As the bride, it was such a treat being able to go back and look at the pictures of events that I could not be a part of, for example, the groom getting ready for the wedding and the groom's brunch. As noted in a previous review, most of the photos are candid shots, but Liss and Bill are more than willing to take posed photos of whoever and whatever you want. We are so thrilled with our photos and so greatly appreciate their hard work and time they put into documenting the most important day of our lives! Thank you, Liss and Bill!!! If you are a bride who is looking for the best photographers in town then STOP looking-you found them!!! I remember how crazy my life was when I began planning my wedding and I knew that I had dreamed of having a big wedding all of my life and wanted it to be perfect! So I began searching and searching to find the perfect photographers and when I say I looked everywhere I did! I looked in Nashville, Birmingham, Atlanta, Florida, and Huntsville and finally decided on Liss and Bill. I am a very picky person when it came to vendors and I wasn't going to just hire anyone. It was a very easy decision because A. their work speaks for itself and B. the first time I met Liss she came to my house and really showed me that she genuinally had a vested interest in me by taking the time to find out what I really wanted....not as a customer, but as a person! And I am so glad today that I did chose her and Bill. Take it from me that I have hired local photographers that took huge amounts of money and did not put in the amount of time, care, and effort that Liss and Bill put in. Not only did we get amazing engagement pictures (that I made many special requests during the shoot and they gladly abliged me), I had gorgeous bridal pictures, and my wedding pictures are more amazing than I could have ever dreamed but also we got them back in a timely fashion unlike the many months you can wait with some photographers. Not only was Liss my photographer but she helped me find an amazing wedding singer and also she sent me to a fantastic makeup artist who made me look perfect all day of my wedding!!! She saved me alot of stress and time helping find those two people!! That is what am saying though....No one but Liss and Bill care enough to make your perfect day perfect. As every bride knows the wedding process can be stressful and it goes by so fast on your wedding day. You want to have the confidence that someone you trust is going to capture the very essence of your love story. I and my husband are thrilled that we have these beautiful pictures that made us laugh, they made us cry, and most of all they will be cherished for the rest of our lives. Thank you Bill and Liss.

If I could give lower ratings, I would. We were refered to Liss & Bill by a friend, who had a wonderful experience with them. I, however, have not been pleased with the services they provided. For our engagement session, Bill did not come, so Liss brought her brother to 2nd shoot with her. We were not aware that Bill was not coming until we arrived at the shoot. Liss asked if there were any pictures we HAD to have, and we let her know we HAD to have one for the newspaper. We had one picture of us looking at the camera, and because of the way she cropped it, we couldn't use it for the newspaper. When we asked if there was another version of the picture she could crop differently, she quickly let us know that what she had posted were our final pictures, and she would not go look and re-edit. We had to have a friend take a picture of us to use for our engagement announcement. During the bridal shoot, Bill's phone called mine and I sat and listened to a rather unprofessional conversation while we followed them around Huntsville. On the wedding day, we have many pictures of the grounds where we got ready, including pictures of horses, random flowers, etc, but only a handful of the groom getting ready. Anytime we requested specific pictures, Liss and Bill would reluctantly agree, letting it be clear that it wasn't "their style". 2 of our guests at the reception asked if they could have their picture taken with us, and she would not take the picture until after we took a picture of us standing by a random tree. We were pleased with the pictures we were given, but have very few of the groom with his family, because Bill was MIA nearly all day. Since then, they have been SLOW at responding to e-mails, and I have been trying to order some pictures since MARCH and I have still not received them (as of September 30th- 6 MONTHS LATER.. I will be glad to get my final pictures ordered so that I will no longer have to deal with them.

Liss and Bill did a great job of capturing every moment of our wedding day. Not only are they great photographers, but they are also very funny and easy to work with. Their quality of work is amazing and we have received tons of compliments on how awesome all of our pictures are. If we had to pick a photographer again, I would definitely choose them.

Liss and Bill were amazing to work with and I can honestly say they were the best decision that we made throughout the entire planning process. They took the time to get to know who we were as individuals and as future husband & wife, as well as how we met and fell in love. The more interactions we had with them, the more they knew what we wanted out of the day and the photos. Communication was the key! They are absolutely amazing in capturing the entire process and telling the wedding story.If I were to give any advice to future brides I would say this: My husband and I saw each other before the wedding. I was so torn on this decision as I know many are... I was 50/50, maybe even 75/25 of not seeing him. But I know I made the correct decision. Derek and I were able to have a very private, romantic and tender moment, just the two of us, no one else around before the ceremony. It was perfect! Just my husband to be and I, no distractions. The pictures that captured this moment are some of my favorites Liss & Bill took. And secondly, during the reception pause and take it all in. Find a corner and just notice people's faces and expressions. It is an amazing feeling. The night truly goes by in a flash and many of my memories from the evening come from that brief moment that I took. Enjoy EVERYTHING!

Liss and Bill helped us relax and enjoy the whole process. They took the time to talk to family and friends; they captured those special looks and relationships that made that day so special. The best way to relive a moment is by looking at photos, and I'm so glad we hired them to capture those glimpses of time.

Bill and Liss are incredibly gifted photographers and super nice people. They were a pleasure to work with - very friendly and accomodating. My son's beautiful wedding day was captured perfectly and I have gotten so much joy from looking at the pictures. They provide me with so much detail that I missed on that day. Liss and Bill went above and beyond to make me feel confident and sure in their skills. From the engagement and bridal sessions to the entire wedding week, Bill and Liss were there every time I turned around. As everything began to fall apart with monsoon rains for our outdoor wedding, Liss strapped on her mud boots and said no fear. One of my favorite memories was during the ceremony, I heard plastic moving behind me and when I turned around, Liss was on her back in the mud just to get that perfect shot. They were the first vendors we booked, more than a year out from our wedding, and by far, one of the best decisions we could have made. Their quality of work is far beyond what we even imagined and they truly became like family to us. Thank you for everything!

Bill and Liss have done an amazing job with my wedding. James and I couldn't be more pleased with the way the engagement photos, bridal pics, and all of the wedding shots turned out! The care and time they put into each shot shows. They are so fun to hang out with as well; they make the photo shoots fun!! To define Liss Sterling Photography as a "vendor" for my wedding is an understatement because they provided so much more than photographs of my event. It's true. the pros:1. they are such fun, warm, sincere people that they make the experience very confortable and fun2. they take amazing candid photographs capturing emotions and unique perspectives on the event3. I LOVED gettingt and owning all of our digital images!4. they stayed for almost the whole day- over 12 hours!5. the pictures were available on line and on dvd very quickly, and very well-organized!the cons:1. we only had one formal bride and groom shot that we loved- i wish they ahd directed us a little more to actually look at the camera2. lots of random shots of hands, shot glasses, etc- I guess they are "arty" but i would have rather had more shots of friends and family- many of our guests didn't make it into a single candid3. the pictures were not cropped well

All I can say is WOW. Liss and Bill are the BEST. That's actually my husband and me on their profile picture. They did a fabulous job, and I couldn't be happier. They are professional, easy to work with, flexible with scheduling, and they work hard to make your wedding photography something you'll cherish for years to come. Liss and Bill were exceptional to work with. They spent time with my husband and me during an engagement shoot, they covered our wedding rehearsal, and even drove 20 minutes to our rehearsal dinner site to take a few pictures! On the wedding day, Liss accompanied me as I got made up with hair and makeup as well. Liss and Bill were A LOT of fun, sharing their humor and grace with us throughout our engagement and our special day, even when we were late to respond to emails or send them schedules that they needed:) Not only are the photos spectacular (!) and well worth the cost, but their photography packages come with both Liss and Bill, so in the end you can choose from double the amount of pictures! As soon as I saw their site, I fell in love with their work. Liss and Bill are extremely friendly and laid-back, so you feel comfortable around them. When I discovered that our reception area is difficult to photograph in, they worked hard to figure out the best possible solution. We got a ton of amazing pictures from them, and even though we didn't buy any prints from them, they went so far as to recommend where to get professional-quality prints at a great price!

Liss and Bill are truly wonderful photographers. They provide their customers with such a great experience from the consultation to the wedding day and beyond. I remember telling my husband that we were going to have an engagement session and he absolutely did not feel it was necessary. However, when the session ended my husband did not want to leave. Liss and Bill were wonderful and our session was like spending time with a couple of friends. Liss and Bill are so easy to work with, and are genuinely interested in each of the couples they work with. They truly make taking pictures fun and the finished products are always fabulous.
