Reviews for Little Gardens

After booking our wedding with them, they were bought out by another company and we were a little worried. But in the end we actually received more for our money than we would have received before or after the buy-out, so it really worked out in our favor! They treated us good, and were very well organized. The wedding coordinator did a great job helping to move along the wedding and reception. Everyone we encountered treated us well.

I loved the look of this location from the very first time I saw it. The brick and the gardens just made it feel like the perfect place for a summer wedding. Any time I had a problem or a question Ruth made a point to take care of my concerns right away. I am extremely pleased with Little Gardens and would definitely recommend them.

We had driven past and peeked in dozens of times but never driven back to see the beauty of Little Gardens. Within two weeks of our wedding date we had a 'wedding emergency' and had to change venues from where we had originally booked and Little Gardens magically had an opening! Everyone was so amazing and flexible. The sales director met with my planner the morning after I called, and allowed us to tour the property, pick a menu, and finalize details that same day! Beyond planning a perfect wedding so quickly: the service was impeccable, the food delicious, the grounds perfectly manicured, and the staff fun and friendly. My family was so impressed with the beautiful house and how they made it feel like our home- our framed engagement portraits decorated the sitting room and our photo dvd played over the bar. We had our few day-of glitches (wear shoes during your first dance no matter how bad your feet hurt!) but the staff was so professional and so comfortable hosting weddings my guests never knew- I had I not asked details I wouldn't have either! My guests were happy, my photographer and planner were treated well, and I felt like a princess marrying her prince. I hated planning my wedding until two weeks before when our wedding moved to Little Gardens. I will recommend any bride book her beautiful southern wedding here, and for that matter had one of my planner's recent brides contact me to gush about Little Gardens. If only they we're still a restaurant, we'd eat there regularly. So invite us to your wedding at Little Gardens, please!

My fiance and I were looking for a venue that would meet all of our needs and provide professional service. I had been searching and could not seem to find the place that would make me excited. Little did we know that Little Gardens was going to do that and so much more. From our first meeting with Kristin to our wedding day, we were extended unsurpassed courtesy, professionalism, and just the fact that they cared about making our day special. Patty and Kathleen were excellent to work with, and they made our day unforgettable. The design team did an awesome job with bringing the room to life for us. The food was great and our guests could not stop talking about what a great time they had.If we had to do it again, no doubt Little Gardens will be our choice. We are so thankful for the staff and how well they took care of us! Indeed every girl wants an unforgettable experience, and I had my dream wedding with my love... The Abbeys 7/2011

Little Gardens did a FANTASTIC job with our wedding. From the moment we walked in for an initial tour, we were taken such great care of. They have a whole design team that works with you personally to create the look you want, plus a wedding planner. I am very detail oriented, and it was great sitting down with our planner and creating a time line for the entire evening. It also helped because our DJ knew exactly what would happen when, so he was ready for transitions, and our photographer knew what to be watching for. After the ceremony, when we were getting all of our formal photos taken, our wedding director would run up to us in between photos with a damp napkin to dry the sweat, and a glass of water to keep us cool. On the dance floor, she monitored both of our drinks and had a fresh one for us is it began to look room temperature or watered down. You always hear about those horrible wedding horror stories, but everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was so easy, stress free and wonderfully planned.

Little Gardens provided an amazing wedding experience for my new husband and I! They were so professional and handled EVERYTHING! They whole night they were so hospitable to the guests, efficent in being on schedule, and even did little things to ensure to make the night even more special for me and my groom (like allowing us to chose to eat alone, and packing a bag of some of the food we may have missed to eat later) They were so organized and such a joy to meet with and plan before the event. The staff knows what they are doing and the facility is GORGEOUS! i got so many compliments on the condition of the house and the decor for the wedding. The design team is phenominal as well. Magic Moments just knows what they are doing! but you better hurry up and book it because spaces and dates will go fast... which also just goes to show how desirable they are!

We had the most wonderful experience at Little Gardens. From the first day that we went there to check it out to the wedding day--everything was wonderful. They made everything so easy and never tried to push anything outside our budget. The preparation/meetings before the wedding day were convenient and helpful. And the wedding day itself was perfect. Everything was coordinated perfectly, thanks to all the people that work at Little Gardens who are so wonderful and dedicated. The food was amazing, the flowers and centerpieces were lovely. It could not have been a more perfect day--thanks in large part to the wonderful folks at Little Gardens and their beautiful...

My wedding exceeded my expectations because of the wonderful service that was provided by Little Gardens. Everything ran smoothly and their staff was very professional and gracious. The food and cake prepared by the Magic Moments catering company was outstanding. Almost every single guest told me that it was the nicest wedding they had ever attended. I would highly recommend Little Gardens to any bride!

Rebecca Lathem was our pre-planning coordinator and Amber Lopez was our day-of coordinator. They were both attentive and receptive to our needs. Little Gardens did a fabulous job keeping everything together and running it smoothly. You really do lose track of time and it was nice to have someone else worry about that! The venue is beautiful, even without an aisle runner and arch (which we chose to forgo). All of our guests RAVED about the food. I would highly recommend Little Gardens to anyone not minding the drive to Lawrenceville.

This facility was BEAUTIFUL!!! We had our outdoor wedding here on 11/12/11 and not only was the weather perfect but the scenary was beautiful as well. The staff was AWESOME!! They made sure to make me feel like the princess thatI was for that day!

I was truly happy with Little Gardens. They did an outstanding job with my wedding ceremony and reception. All the staff were very friendly and helped in every way. The Magic Moments Design was great too! I did not have to worry about anything for the wedding. Once I picked out the decorations and flowers they covered the rest. The food was wonderful and they offer a variety of food. I had the wedding of my dreams. I highly recommend Little Gardens!!

Little Gardens is one hell of a facility. We never dreamed that we would be able to have the wedding that we wanted until we came upon this place. As you maybe learning, wedding planning can consume you in terms of planning and the costs. When my wife and I came to this one stop shop our prayers were answered. When had our entire ceremony at this location that is spacious and has a wonderful flow to the room. The gardens in the back with the coy pond and waterfall were a wonderful back drop for our September ceremony. We had a concern about flowers for the ceremony but once again Little Gardens exceeded our expectation with the quality of flowers. Their ability to have all vendors under one roof is a blessing and don’t be afraid to use them. The Bride suite answers every need you could possibly imagine. Generous space, mirrors, places for maids of honor, the mother of the bride and make up. I mean just wonderful! The Grooms suite has exactly what a guy needs for the big day! TV with a remote and drinks with friends and family. This relaxing location is ideal for the groom before and evening of meeting, greeting and giving thanks.Little Gardens is a wonderful location for pictures your ceremony. We wanted a place that was affordable, could accommodate our large wedding and would provide a wonderful place for pictures and this place had it in spades. My wife and I had heard stories of the bridge and groom not eating any of the food that was prepared for the evening however that is not the case with Little Gardens. Before you are introduced they will prepare a meal for you before you are introduced as man and wife. They even gave us a doggie bag when we departed from the facility. So that evening as we read the cards and opened our gifts we had more food to enjoy! Finally, the staff was absolutely wonderful to work with. No matter who is was they had a high attention to detail and offered suggestions to illuminate you on areas you may not have thought of in your planning. Which I cannot tell you has no price tag. Getting married is unchartered waters and if you have not been intimately involved with planning a wedding there are so many things that you don't know that it is nice to have someone there that can offer useful suggestions. We my wife and I recall memories of Little Gardens we have the best memories ever! I would strongly suggest that you visit all of their facilities (Flint Hill, The Atrium, and Primrose Cottage) and choose the one that best fits your price range. Good luck to you and yours!Richard and Nikeitra Smith

We had an amazing experience using Little Gardens for our wedding. I fell in love with it the first time we visited and was not disappointed! There are options for either an indoor or outdoor ceremony, and I think either would be beautiful. We choose outdoor and loved it. We were able to save on decorations and flowers because the setting is so beautiful in and of itself. The design team was amazing and helped me stay within my budget and still produce results that I loved! I'm not a huge flower person, but they ended up being one of my favorite things. The staff at Little Gardens were amazing! They took care of everything, were incredibly helpful in the planning, but still let us set the tone. It very much felt like "our wedding" and had personal touches all over it, but they did all the work to make it happen and we were able to enjoy the day and be in the moment! Little Gardens is amazing quality and service, and for a price that I felt was totally worth it. I highly recommend them! I would definitely use them all over again! We had several people tell us it was the "perfect wedding" and that they would love to have a wedding at Little Gardens as well.

Being the glass half empty person that I am I thought surely after I sign my contract with Little Gardens the quality of service would diminish and all the bells and whistels that were promised would disapear. I was very pleased to find out that this team actually worked harder. They made it a point to return all of my multitude of emails and phone calls within the same business day. I love the staff there and think they are truely talented and kind hearted. Kristin Wade is amazing to work with and knew just how to calm my many fears! You will not be disapointed when picking this team!

There are only positive things to say about Little Gardens Estate. My then Fiance and I visited Little Gardens for the first time on December 4, 2009 ( :-) My birthday) This was our last stop in our last minute wedding venue search and we both instantly fell in love. EVERYTHING about the venue will take your breath away, and the staff is amazing. We were married on March 20, so planning everything in three months was not going to be easy...or so we thought. Magic Moments has such an amazing team that work so well together, I never felt a moment of stress. At our initial meeting they let us know exactly when we needed to set appointments up with the different departments. My Husband and I paid for the wedding and recpetion ourselves, so with us both being at all our meetings it made everything so much easier and we were able to make decisions really fast. Whatever it is you want, they can do it! One suggestion I would make for the soon to be newlyweds is to have and idea of what it is you do want. There are so many options it is easy to get caught up. Look through magazines and take out what you like. At our design consult, all I had to do was show Jackie the bouquet I wanted, and she made it happen with more cost efficient options :-) My girls bouquets were exactly like the picture I provided, simple and beautiful. One more thing I would suggest is to attend one of the Romancing the bride events. If you decided to go it is even MORE important to know what you want b/c they have SOOOOOOOOOO Many beautiful decor options on display it is easy to become overwhelmed, but so worth the trip. We ended up adding to the decor we decided on after attending...we went a bit over budget, but it was well worth it. They also have tons of pefered vendors and LOTS OF GREAT FOOOOOOOOOOOOD. We added a few things to our menu as well :-)Now to our Wedding day. It was soooooo perfect! Did a few things go wrong, like half of the place cards being left at home, having a wedding crasher, our toasting flutes not making it to the table...yeah...but none of our guests could tell....I couldnt even tell :-) They staff handled EVERYTHING so well. I dont think I have ever been waited on like that and with such enthusiasm. Everything was just so amazing, I want to do it all over again. My only wish is that I was able to afford to rent the place all day so My Husband and I would have had time to take More pictures around the beautiful venue. If we are still living in GA in ten years...We promise to be back here for our vow renewel ceremony. There is so much more I could say, so many tips I could give, so feel free to email me, mika20004@aol.com.WE LOVE LITTLE GARDENS AND THE MAGIC MOMENT STAFF!

My husband and I were married at Little Gardens on January 23,2010. We truely had a 'winter wonderland' wedding. We had no problem choosing Little Gardens for our wedding and reception...It is BEAUTIFUL inside and out. They have great staff to help with every detail. They have everything a bride is looking for and more. The House provides a romantic setting with a warm inviting atmosphere. The second you arrive you can't help but get excited. I love the southern charm of the front porch and the elegance of the interior. The gardens and pond give it a whimsical effect, which was perfect for being in love. The designers went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. It was as if the place had been decorated by angels. The flowers were gorgeous. The wedding was breathtaking and the reception only added to it. They have the hardest working and most creative people in the world. Choosing the menu was the only hard decision I had. They have so many options and it all sounds great. When you sample the food, you really want it all. The cakes are delicious and they give you plenty to choose from. The food is beautifully displayed. Our guest are still going on and on about how great everything tasted. Looking back on one of the most important days of our lives...There is nothing we would change. Little Gardens and Magic Moments are the ONLY way to go if perfection is what you desire. They took our dream and made it Magical.

The truth is that there really is nothing negative that can be said about the services provided by Little Gardens. On a day where so many little things could've gone wrong and ruined my wedding,Little Garden's staff was ready for everything. The weather was questionable that day but at the last minute changes were made to make the day an unforgettable experience for my husband and I. The wedding director left no stone unturned. Her patience and understanding with all the families and vendors is truly God-given. Thanks Little Gardens.

Brides. If you are looking for a facility where services is top priority, look no further then Little Gardens. I planed an out of state wedding so my mother was a huge help for me during the wedding planning process. We found that Little Gardens was a one stop shop for us. They provided me with a vendor recommendation list which is where I found my photographer, band, florist, bakery, hotel accommodations and more. I trusted their recommendations and never felt the need to look beyond their suggestions. Little Gardens hosts an evening event called Romancing the Bride to showcase their lovely facility and their vendors. The evening event was a great way to see first hand the quality of service, food and the ambiance of the facility and it was also a great opportunity to meet quality vendors. I found this event to be extremely helpful. It was easy to get in touch with my planner if I had any concerns or questions regarding my wedding reception. Everyone at Little Gardens bent over backwards to make sure the evening was everything I imagined. I was extremely relieved when I realized I had to do NOTHING on the day of my wedding besides show up! I trusted my planners to have the facility looking just like we discussed....and it did! It was decorated so beautifully! The service was beyond wonderful as well! I would highly recommend you to visit Little Gardens and see first hand what I am talking about.

I had a perfect wedding thanks to Little Gardens! I did not have to worry about a thing - they handled everything! Our wedding director was priceless. She rocks!

I had my wedding and reception here. The staff did an amazing job from the decor to the wonderful food. I would definitely recommend Little Gardens.

Everyone at Little Gardens went out of their way to provide the most excellent service I could have asked for for my wedding. The venue was immaculate, they went out of their way to give me exactly what I wanted (even let my dog be in the wedding!), the food was AMAZING, and they made the house feel like it was our house that we were inviting guests to. I couldnt have asked for anything more. Just BEAUTIFUL!

WOW! There are not enough nice things that can be said to express how wonderful Little Gardens and Magic Moments(their planning/catering/design company) are. The Little Gardens staff was professional, courteous, helpful, and amazing! They made my wedding day everything I wanted...even though it started pouring 5 minutes before my ceremony! They dried the chairs, moved it under the patio covering, and my ceremony was still beautiful and wonderful. The reception was great! The guests loved the food, the cake was GORGEOUS!!!! and I cannot say enough about how beautiful the decor and flowers were. They made planning my wedding easy and (relatively) stress free! I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about them!If you are looking for a gorgeous garden setting for your ceremony and reception look no farther! They are the BEST all-inclusive venue in the Atlanta area.
GUEST

Little Gardens is the most beautiful place to have a wedding in the Gwinnett area. The gardens are beautiful! Everyone from the bartender, to the wedding coordinators, to the design department were so helpful and accommodating! They took care of every little detail! I definitely recommend Little Gardens to anyone who wants a stress-free experience.
GUEST

If only mother nature had been as cooperative and responsive as the staff who put on my daughter's wedding. Everything was exactly as promised. We were offered many choices and there were no surprises regarding costs. They even took extra steps to accomodate a handicapped guest as well as my special diet needs. The "indoor" option proved necessary due to cool temps and high winds, yet the ceremony was well done and accomodated the 75 or so guests who attended. As for value, we looked at several venues and I don't think we could get more for the money.
GUEST

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Little Gardens itself and the people who run it. When I first walked in and saw their beautiful ceremony site, I had a heart-stopping "This is it!" moment and was almost ready to sign right then! The site is breathtakingly beautiful, with lots of flowers and a trickling stream at the ceremony site (and plenty of birds chirping!). They are truly great people who work with you every step of the way. Every time you walk in their front door, you'll be greeted by delicious fresh cookies and lemonade. Definitely give this place a visit if you are looking for a beautiful outdoor ceremony in a garden (it's well-shaded, so even my June wedding was not bad). The indoor reception space was also beautiful, and the catering and decorating company they use (Magic Moments) were also great to work with to create a beautiful space and delicious food. The people behind Magic Moments used my magazine cutouts to help me to create my perfect vision, and when I didn't have specific ideas for something, gave suggestions to guide me towards something I would like. I really enjoyed working with them.

Little Gardens was the first venue I visited and I fell in love with the grounds when I stepped in the front door. Not only is the house beautiful, the ceremony site with the waterfall and surrounding gardens was beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful and accomodating throughout the entire planning process. Patti, our wedding planner was amazing. She was very knowledgable about all aspects and she gave me confidence that our wedding would run smoothly. Each time I emailed her I received a response within the same day. She was also the manager the night of our wedding and made sure everything was perfect. Linda, our wedding director was also great. She was very organized and kept me informed of everything that was happening, and scheduled to happen the day of our wedding. When we arrived, the house was decorated just as I had envisioned and a minor error was corrected within minutes. The wait staff was outstanding, the food was delicious and the design team was incredible. The flowers were perfect and everything was placed exactly as we had discussed. I am so pleased with Little Gardens and I am so very happy that we chose this venue as our ceremony and reception location:)

Little Gardens was an excellent venue to host our wedding celebration! From the sales staff to the design team, and definitely the cook and wait staff, my husband and I were very pleased with their professionalism and the quality of service delivered. Our guests raved about the food and cake which both were prepared by the magic moments catering team; they also enjoyed the beautiful ambiance of the garden and the spacious estate itself! If you're looking for that one stop shop that won't skimp on the class and pizzazz, this is where you want to be!

We were beyond pleased with Little Gardens!! Rebecca Latham and Janet Hall were our coordinators. Both were very attentive. We did not have to worry about a thing. It was comforting the day of the wedding, to know we didn't have to worry about anything. Everyone loved the food. It was awesome, they even sent us home a goody bag, so we could eat the food afterwards. I loved how organized and professional they were. I would tell anyone to go to Little Gardens. Awesome!

I am not a planner. Being a bride was quite a strange experience for me. The day of our wedding was absolutely perfect, though. Even though our photographer was 2 hours late, everyone around me kept everything moving, and tons of pictures were taken by all of my bridesmaids, family members, and friends. The one thing that did bother me a bit was our wedding planner kept looking at her watch while we took pictures after the ceremony. It made both me and my husband very anxious. We were already upset that the photographer was late, so we wanted to get as many pictures taken with him as possible. She needed to chill out just a little bit. I understand she was trying to keep everything moving, as we were running a little behind schedule. Everything else was perfect. The women who helped me with my train was also so cute. We were singing Beatles songs with my dad right before we walked down the aisle. I want to get married every day at Little Gardens. (besides all the money and planning). Everything was seriously amazing.
GUEST

Little Gardens was a great place to have our wedding! The backyard gardens were a beautiful location for the ceremony, and the design team did a great job with the florals and making the reception hall look amazing. The food was fantastic, and all our guests had a great time. The wedding coordinator the day of is a must have - she keeps everything running smoothly and you're allowed to be the worry free bride that you should be that day!
GUEST

Our wedding was fabulous! The staff was so attentive and courteous, and our wedding day coordinator was a God-send. The food was delicious and the linens and decorations were gorgeous. We had such a great time and had SO MANY compliments on how much fun all of our guests had!

Me husband and I got married at Little Gardens on September 26, 2009 and we were completely satisfied!! From the beginning, the staff at Little Gardens and Magic Moments was incredibly cooperative and very willing to work with you on all of your needs. Although, it rained on the day of the wedding, the ceremony still turned out beautiful and romantic indoors with the doors open so you could see and hear the waterfall. Our wedding coordinator was so great! She got everything done at the right times and you hardly even noticed she was there, very professional and easy to work with! I highly recommend this venue to any brides in the area!

Little Gardens is the perfect location if you want an outdoor wedding and an indoor reception (or either of the 2). My husband and I fell in love with the house, the garden, and the ballroom the second we got there. And I did a lot of research and looked at a lot of locations stretching from Kennesaw to Marietta to Atlanta and over to Athens. But I really encourage you to visit everywhere that falls in your price range (but particularly, any of the Magic Moments properties: Flint Hill, The Atrium, Primrose Cottage).I would happily suggest Little Gardens to anyone. The quality of service we received from the staff was impeccable. All our guests raved about the people who helped with our wedding. My husband and I particularly liked the private meal together before entering the reception. Sue was our personal server, and she was outstanding. I don't think either of us realized what a special and unique moment they created with that meal. Also, the food was really great! Our guests continue to mention a number of dishes whenever we see them (for information on food selection and quality, check out Romancing the Bride, details are listed on any of the MM Inc. location websites--you get to sample the food, check out the flowers, and look at various ways to decorate the house).Everyone I spoke to at Little Gardens was very responsive and willing to answer any questions. They were available every time I needed something and had such professionalism throughout the planning process and on the wedding day. I felt our wedding was extremely nice for what it cost. We were on a limited budget and were still able to have a beautiful and unique wedding--one that satisfied us and impressed our guests. We did have to cut a few luxuries (having my flowers done out of house, etc) but everything we really wanted, we were able to have at Little Gardens.I feel like there's enough flexibility to get what you want from what they offer. The only issue with flexibility is that you have to schedule your planning meetings during the work week, which means you'll have to miss work at least twice to do planning...but who minds that?I really could go on and on about how happy I was with my experience:)
GUEST

Little Gardens was the perfect venue for our wedding! Since we didn't live in Atlanta, it was important for us to find a venue that would take care of the day-of coordinating. We loved that they also handled the catering, wedding cake and flowers/decor. Their menu choices were really great and the food was amazing! We got so many compliments from our guests about the braised short rib and the seared tuna hors devours!! The staff was also really great! At the first meeting, Kristin walked us through the entire facility and ran through the day-of schedule and the rain contingency plan which made us feel really comfortable and confident that we were in great hands. The only cons that I had with Little Gardens was the tight schedule. Because they have 2 weddings a day, our wedding couldn't start until 7:30pm and we couldn't be on the venue until 5:30pm. They also don't allow you to get ready at the venue. Hair and makeup had to be done before getting there and groomsmen and bridesmaids had to be dressed and ready to go before they got there. We also had to leave at 11:30pm. Overall, it was a really great venue and we would highly recommend it!

I had a FABULOUS experience with the Little Gardens! After we went there the first time, my fiance said we should go to a couple of other places. We investigated 5 other locations, but the Little Gardens was the most impressive and the best value. My wedding went very smoothly, and everyone who attended was very impressed with the food, decorations, and staff. There was no pressure to add decorative details, and everything was beautiful with the basics. I had a couple of people attend who had special food requirements, and the Little Gardens staff were very accommodating of this. My wedding planner left about a month before my wedding to have a baby, and the new planner just picked up where she left off. It was all very smooth. The Little Gardens is very strict about their times as far as rehearsal practice. I appreciated this because it means that everyone will have the full attention of the staff at the designated time, and I was guaranteed that no one would be wandering around or preparing for thier weddings while mine was still going on.I highly recommend the Little Gardens.
GUEST

From the moment I visited until after our wedding, Little Gardens was wonderful. The staff was gracious during the planning process and our day of director, Keisha, could not have been any better! My guests loved the surrounding and I actually saw many of them taking pictures of the grounds during the reception. I wish I could get married again just to go back and add more details!
GUEST

Little Gardens was absolutely amazing! I could not have asked for a smoother reception. The decor was fantastic- the staff was responsive and wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone- for any event. The food was fantastic as well!!THANK YOU!!
GUEST

My husband and I got married at Little Gardens on June 6, 2009. I'm so glad that we chose Little Gardens as our venue for our ceremony and reception. During the planning process, Kristin and the rest of the staff at Little Gardens were a huge help in answering any questions we had. The pictures turned out beautifully, because of the colorful natural scenery. The food was amazing! I didn't get to eat much the day of the wedding (too nervous), and Little Gardens was gracious enough to box up food for my husband and me as well as our parents, so we could enjoy later. If you're interested in doing an outdoor wedding, I strongly recommend Little Gardens.

Everything went as I expected. The service was good, everyone loved the food and we had a great time!

So professional and responsive. Loved everything about this venue.

Little Gardens is a great venue. The grounds and house are beautiful, the staff is friendly and responsive, and the food is delicious. You are required to use the in-house catering and floral design (except bridal party flowers), but I was really pleased with the options and flexibility they offered. And I cannot tell you how pleased my guests were at the wonderful food.I have only one criticism:The company sets up each facility with a sales director, wedding planner, and a day-of director (actually there are several of these-they are part time, and usually temporary positions). The wedding planner at Little Gardens is truly professional, friendly, accomodating, and great at her job. But once you've paid the final balance-you don't see your wedding planner any more. You get a stranger for the day-of director who has not been with you for all the planning and discussions. For my particular wedding, this became a problem. There were no major hitches, and the day was beautiful, and I didn't feel stressed at all. But our rehearsal was boring and not fun-like a rehearsal should be. And for the majority of the wedding day our director was watching her watch, rather than being flexible to the flow of this particular wedding. I was told by the photographer that the directors this company hires are usually much more flexible. I think if the company used the same person for planning as for directing these would be non-issues.Aside from that-I completely recommend Little Gardens for weddings, and your guests won't forget it.
GUEST

The place was beautiful and I had nothing to worry about because the staff was on it. They were very helpful with any questions I had. Flexiblity was scored low because the rehearsal dinner had to be scheduled around other things and they are very stricked on how long you have before the ceremony to be on grounds. You cannot be at the site more than two hours before the ceremony, which includes getting ready and pictures. This freaked me out at first, but things actually ran smoothly.
GUEST

Little Gardens is a truly beautiful place to get married. Everyone that attended said it one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever been to. The staff is wonderful and they are all extremely professional and on their game. My only problem with the venue was the cost of everything. You have to use their in- house designers and caterers and they want an arm and a leg for pretty much everything. They wanted $350 to put two little blankets of lights over two bushes. I'm not sure how they think they can charge for incidentals like that. The day of wedding coordinator was worth her weight in gold and overall I am pleased with the venue.
GUEST

Little Gardens changed management right before my event. The facility underwent many renovations creating an even more beautiful house and gardens for my event. The food was great, and the day went by effortlessly. The wedding coordinator was firm and made sure everyone was where he or she needed to be at all times. Though the new management was not as casual as the former, I did not really care. My wedding day should be perfect and they made sure it was as perfect as possible. I recommend booking for one or two extra hours if the budget allows. 4 hours sure does fly by!! Plenty of staff available to make sure guest get whatever they need. Hand passed food gives it all a special touch!Did hear a few comments about staff being not as friendly as they should be. However, I personally did not notice any of this.
GUEST

Getting married at Little Gardens was such a pleasure, because of the beauty of the gardens. Everything was well kept inside the southern mansion and on the grounds. The house has a nice flow to it and they would let you personalize the living room with personal pictures of you and your family. Little Gardens is a one stop facility, because along with the venue, they offer the full set up for the wedding and reception, catering, and flowers. I have to say that the florist that works for them did an exquisite job. The flowers were simply gorgeous. Little Gardens is known for their catering. They are great caterers. I went to a tasting and the food was delicious. However, I feel that they could have done a much better job with food selections, color and verity at my wedding. Because my husband and I had some unforeseen expenses, and emergency situations, we had to revamp our financial contract with Little Gardens. Little Gardens did work with me so that the wedding could still take place there at the venue. I was about to cancel For that we are so thankful. But when we had to cut expenses, instead of the owner working with us to give us a discount on the facility or supplies such as tables and chairs, etc.; most of the cuts came out of the decorations and the food. Quite a bit of the decorations, and some of the flowers, and most of the food was cut. But still for the amount that we paid the venue, I feel that we should have a gotten better selection of food. For the main dish everything on the plate was white- turkey in white sauce, chicken in white sauce and pasta in white sauce. Half of our guest are vegetarians so all they got was white pasta in a white sauce. Oh it tasted good, but how unappealing. After all of the cuts and the updated menu was sent, with the category of foods, I trusted that better selections would have been made as agreed. With cuts that we made, (over a couple of thousand dollars). Yet we still paid several thousand,( to the venue), it would have been nice to have had better food menu. All in all I am happy that I got married there. The venue was great, the flowers were exquisite, my director and coordinator were good. My regrets were that it seemed reasonably prices, but wasnt when you totaled it up, and I was disappointed in the menu. Although I was disappointed with the food, I almost feel that I have to have another party, or reception there at Little Gardens; in order to get the menu that I planned to have the first time around for my reception this past summer. I know that they can do a better. GiGi

I will say that Little Gardens is a beautiful place to get married. Your photos will be wonderful and everyone will enjoy the food. Just keep in mind that you (as the bride and groom) and anyone that is involved in footing the bill will probably be gritting their teeth by the end of it all. FEES:Most fees I can understand - there has to be a service charge on the food so that the wait staff can be paid, and a cake cutting fee so that the people that cut up and serve the cake can be paid and the dishes can be washed. But a SERVICE CHARGE on the cake cutting FEE?!! I couldn't believe my eyes!! Make sure you know exactly what you are paying for and on which items you're paying a service charge before you sign anything! Once you sign, you can't really negotiate anything.VALUE FOR COST:It is a truly beautiful venue, but keep in mind that you have to get all of your decorations (aside from bridal party flowers) from their inhouse design company, and it's not cheap! We paid $450 for a swag of fabric and some Christmas lights to hang across the ceiling above the dance floor.DAY OF COORDINATOR:Little Gardens employs part-time help for the day of your wedding to act as your onsite coordinator. This is a very helpful idea in theory, and probably especially nice if you don't have a wedding coordinator. Ours was generally helpful, but she rubbed a lot of people involved in the wedding the wrong way and COMPLETELY FORGOT after I specifically asked her to add a chair to the front row so that my brother (who walked me down the aisle) would have a place to sit next to my mom and her fiance. That really peeved me!So yes, beautiful place, good food, but just be aware of the limitations beforehand so that you don't end up upset with the things that go wrong.

Little Gardens was horrible. They ran out of food. The service was bad and the people were not easy to work with at all. I really expected more but later found out from other brides that they were not happy with their service either. Wish I would have known before.
What a FANTASTIC Location and event facility. They know how to make a wonderful PARTY!
Little Gardens, in Lawrenceville, GA, is a wonderful venue for the small-to-medium sized wedding and reception. They are very professional, friendly, and reasonably-priced to boot. I have photographed several weddings there, enough to be on a first-name basis with many of the staff, and can tell you that they serve the bride and her guests with great care, making each event special.
