Maria Marian-Harwood worked as a consultant in planning my wedding. We decided to have her help put together and plan our wedding because at the time I was working 14 hour days and didn’t have time to make phone calls and coordinate with vendors and also because I was the type of bride that really didn’t care about the details. I had my man, I had a date picked out and I had a photographer lined up and I was happy at that. But honestly that’s all I had and that does not a wedding make, or at least not a great one.

Mara was great. She took time to get to know my fiance and I and what we liked and she put together a lot of great ideas for us from that and she had a lot of great contacts and vendors to work with.

I told Mara that we wanted an outdoor venue and she recommended several different places and we finally decided on Millcreek Inn. It was beautiful and it was quiet which definitely was appealing to us to have a secluded and private atmosphere. And it was outdoors which is what we were after and the scenery and weather were perfect for our mid-August wedding.

Mara recommended Julie at Layers for our cake and I absolutely loved her and the cake she made. She made a custom flavor for us and it was amazing. Definitely the most amazing cake I have ever had and it turned out so beautifully. I didn’t want to cut it apart. It was perfect and Julie was so great to work with. She was so sweet and made me feel like she actually cared about me and was interested in me and sincerely wanted to make me happy. She was great. I would highly recommend her to anyone and I felt like she was very reasonably priced which was icing on the cake (no pun intended).

Mara recommended Whimsy Floral & Design for our floral arrangements and our flowers turned out wonderfully. I thought that they were beautiful and loved the details.

I had shown Mara some pictures of different tablescapes and decor that I liked from magazines and pictures online and from that she incorporated our colors and arranged and executed everything beautifully. I thought everything came together very elegantly but also with a bit of a playful sense which is what we had expressed we wanted.
We had also told her that we wanted our wedding to be fun and have some sort of aspect that would set it apart, make it fun and be memorable for our guests. I had come up with several original and fun ideas but none of them were practical so I was thrilled when Mara suggested a photobooth. It was such a fun and nonintrusive part of our wedding. It was fun for our guests and we received an album with all of the pictures our guests took as our sign in book. Not only was it a fun part of our wedding but it is also a keepsake for us for many years to come. Our guests really had a great time with it. And the girls at Shutterbooth were so sweet and great to work with.

She worked with the venue to arrange the tables how I wanted and in a way that would be the most efficient use of the space. She ordered in special chairs and linens and I really think that all the extra details and special touches made a difference and really helped to make our day that much more perfect.

Mara really did a great job in helping to put together our wedding. She took the time to get to know us and to understand who we were and what we wanted and she had a lot of great ideas and suggestions for us. She had wonderful vendors for us to work with and everything from the venue to my hair and makeup artist to the musicians were exceptional. Mara came up with fun and unique touches to help set our wedding apart from just being any other cookie cutter event and turned it into something really very wonderful and memorable. My husband and I were very thrilled with how the whole day turned out and I was told by several people that I was the most stress free bride they had ever seen. I am sure that my lack of stress and ability to fully enjoy the day is because of the work and care that Mara and Events By LMG put into our wedding. The only complaint that we had about the day was that it was over much too quickly.

Not only was Mara great at coordinating and planning everything but she was there to provide moral support when the dress I had ordered online arrived over a month late and wasn’t the dress I had ordered. She was there for me again when I panicked that the tuxes weren’t quite right either. She helped to calm me down and assured me that everything was going to work out and she was absolutely right. It really helped to have someone there to talk to that had experience and a level head to help me relax and think more clearly when I was overwhelmed with little picture problems.

Thank you so much Mara for all of your time and patience. You really went above and beyond to help give me the perfect, most stress free day I could have ever imagined. Going into the wedding planning process I didn’t think that I cared about details like flowers, linens, chairs, music or anything like that but without all of those details and care that you put into it, my wedding wouldn’t have been anything special. I appreciate all the time and energy you spent making it possible for me to have the most wonderful day imaginable. You are a miracle worker and I am so grateful to you for everything.

Mara and Events by LMG are the most amazing event planners EVER. I don't know what I would have done without Mara and her amazing team. Mara was there with me and by my side every step of the way. Laughed with me, cried with me, and helped me through it all! My wedding would have been nothing without them.

Mara was a wonderful person to work with and made it really easy for me to plan a wedding while in the military. Since I didn't know the area or vendors where I was getting married she provided the expertise and knowledge I needed to make an informed decision about what I wanted. She was extremely efficient, professional, and of great value to me.

Mara was our savior. I was planning a somewhat "destination" wedding in Salt Lake (I grew up in Utah but had not lived in the state for years and my family was not there anymore either). I hired an LA-based wedding planner 10 months before my wedding because I had seen her work in the media and was very impressed, she also assured me that she was excited to do a wedding in Utah and that she could work in my budget.

Fast forward to two weeks prior to my wedding and I was in a panic. My wedding was not my own (it was my planners' vision) and my budget was doubled. I then made the best decision I made with my wedding (besides my husband and photographer!) and fired my previous planner. Enter Mara. . .

Twelve days before my wedding she swooped in and fixed everything! She returned my wedding back to it's original vision and made it even more amazing than I could imagine. She secured chairs, linens, a dance floor, lighting, paper products, lounge furniture and numerous other things within ten days of the wedding and kept us within a few thousand dollars of the original budget. She has a network of amazing vendors and they came through beautifully. Mara was the consummate professional throughout the process. She was appropriately kind (in light of the situation!), but also no-nonsense because we needed to get things done quickly. Wedding day was a breeze thanks to her. She kept everything and everyone on time. She anticipated all of our needs and took care of all the little hiccups without blinking an eye or letting us be any the wiser!

All in all I can't sing her praises enough! Mara is amazing at her job and your wedding will be incredible if you let her be a part of it. I feel so lucky to be one of "her" brides and my only regret is that I didn't hire her in the beginning!

LMG Events delivered more than I expected! I hired them for day-of coordination and actually felt like I had a helping hand for the entire planning process. Mara was very responsive and full of great ideas. She saved me money and recommended the best vendors. My wedding was spectacular and I owe it large part to LMG Events! I definitely recommend them and will use them again for other events.

I had a unique situation. There was an oil spill that affected my reception site one week before I was getting married. I was not excited to find out that the oil company had hired me a wedding planner, I had everything planned myself. As soon as I met Mara, I was thrilled! She was so on top of things, very organized and was on my level of what I expected. Not only did she help coordinate to relocate the reception in one week, but she also met with me several times in that week and had unique ideas to make the event more gorgeous than I could have ever imagined! If I had to do my wedding all over, I would have hired her from the beginning!

Mara really took the cake. She helped me turn my vision of my wedding into reality. She knows tips and tricks and really I could not have done this without her!
