Great food!

Lisa and Nathan and Nathan did a superb job catering my wedding.
They dealt with some rather difficult food allergies and personalities with aplomb. They also were our day of wedding coordinators. My husband and I were so impressed with how smoothly everything, how gorgeous the food looked and tasted , and how well everything was set up. They quickly and competently dealt with every little hiccup, from the chocolate fountain not working, to the venue being being unexpectedly locked during our scheduled set up time. I never knew this annoying stuff ever happened until long after the wedding. I cannot reccommend them highly enough.

Lisa was fantastic from the get-go. She was friendly, helpful and made really good food. Our guest count severely dropped from around 50 to 24 at which point she reminded me that our contract said we'd pay for 35 no matter what. Even though I didn't sign the contract, I honored it because I knew the quality of her work. We had planned to have her pack and seal eleven extra meals so we could donate them.

Everything went swimmingly until a few of our guests arrived late. My sister and her boyfriend got lost on the way there and my other sister's boyfriend had a previous engagement and wouldn't be there until later. One guest RSVPd and didn't come and our photographer declined her meal. We figured for the three people who hadn't yet arrived that their food would be there. Nope. Even though I was clear that I didn't want to waste food or just "take it home", my husband walked in and was told that they would have to open the sealed food as they didn't have the food the guests had ordered. He saw it in the trash. I was pretty upset by this but took a few breaths, put it into perspective and realized we hadn't completely informed the caterers of the situation but still - to waste that much food? Ugh.

That being said, the food that was there was excellent, they whipped up all three courses for our late guests within moments.

eta: Lisa emailed me today regarding this review and after reviewing the additional information, I do want to emphasize that they did do an excellent job. Would I book them again? Without a second thought. I don't consider this to be a "negative review" especially since the original rating was 4.3/5 and the only negative was explaining how food was wasted. From what I was told, she had to arrange to pick up the rentals the next day because of our late guests which I was unaware of at the time of writing the original review, so I do see that as going above and beyond. I still am not thrilled with the food going to waste but she also explained that it had been out and we had not told her guests were arriving late and to be fair that was our fault, not hers.

Lola actually posts their prices online. They help you plan your menu and work with your budget. No surprises with the bill. The food was great and everything was presented perfectly. Will definitely hire them for catering services again.

LOLA has great and super friendly staff. The food and cake they make not only looks great, they taste even better! There are a few pictures of LOLA's work in our studio and they always get noticed by our couples. We highly recommend LOLA for your next event!

Lola Catering provided food for our open house. They were very professional and the food was one of the best catering food I've had.
