Sophisticated Floral Design did an amazing job on my daughters wedding. The flowers were fresh, perfect and smelled amazing. Her ability to arrange them to in a manner that fit what the bride desired was outstanding. She did not cause any stress in time that we were so busy with other details. We did not have to worry about her being late or any unexpected issues. You will not go wrong with Sophisticated Floral Design and we highly recommend her without reservation. You will not be disappointed.

What can I say? Lora's work exceeded my expectations! Not only did she come under budget, she saved us a considerable amount of money. Portland is my home, but I am a transplant to the deep south, and she worked with me, long-distance; by phone, email, and mail. She opened her home to me 4 days before my wedding, and allowed me to see all my flowers before everything was put together. She made everything so easy. Everything was beyond perfect! I sing you praises, Lora! Your work is phenomonal!

With Pinterest, Lora was able to communicate with me through picture examples incredibly fast. The photos definitely gave me a good idea of what to expect. When I saw the flowers in person, I was amazed by how well everything was arranged and looked. I have been getting compliments on everything but especially my bouquet for the last few days since the wedding. Thank you, Lora!

I just recently got married on August 11th. It was an outdoor wedding at Persimmon Country Club in Gresham. When I first met with Lora, she made my family and I feel so comfortable. There is something about her that is real, approachable...like you are talking with a friend. She brought along with her lots of photo albums with ideas and was great about listening to what I wanted. Even though I changed my mind about 10 times from beginning to end, Lora professionalism always stood out. She would listen, then send me ideas on Pintrest of different colors/variations/themes to consider. Eventually, I found the colors/flower combination that I loved. Lora took that idea and then blew it out of the park. She surpassed my expectations for my bouqet, for the flower arrangments framing the altar, and the flower boxes hanging along the aisle. I can't tell you how many compliments we received on the flowers. I even had a special request of incorporating navy/white striped ribbon into the flower arrangments, and I couldn't have been happier with that as well. Lora stands out in her field because she is so adept at listening to what the customer wants, and then using her creativity and expertise to create what you (the customer) couldn't have put into words. I will definitely recommend Lora at Sophisticated Floral to all my friends getting married. She will make your special day incredible!

Sophisticated floral was fantastic! Lora helped me plan my table decorations, even helping me find places that sold / rented what I would need. I don't know much about different types of flowers, so I wasn't sure what to ask for. Lora asked questions about how we wanted the wedding to feel, and came up with beautiful arrangements for us. I was so glad to find Sophisticated Floral Design for our wedding. The flowers were breathtaking. The service was on time and personable. I could not have asked for more beautiful, professionally arranged flowers. They also decorated the wedding cake with live flowers, which made the cake a work of art! I highly recommend this florist for your special occasion!!

I came upon SFD by chance, after being utterly appalled by the outrageous prices I encountered from NW Portland florists who wanted to charge $250+ for a bridal bouquet. I randomly was searching on Craig's List when I found her advertisement. We met a few weeks later and I was really impressed with what she was able to do for us. I gave her my dollar amount, told her our colors and what I liked (tulips) and didn't like (roses). She didn't promise she could get tulips since our wedding was in August and they weren't in season, but she said she would try.

Lora DELIVERED big time. The flowers blew my mind. My bouquet was absolutely stunning, and she did manage to find dark purple tulips--yippy! The bridesmaids bouquets were simple but colorful and lovely. The boutonnieres were just perfect, and my groom's boutonniere lasted all through the week (somehow it came with us on our honeymoon). It was nice to have it the next day for our day after photos.

In the 11th hour I also asked her to do alter arrangements for the church and they were lovely too, in huge glass containers and gorgeous bells of Ireland. Lovely!

I would highly recommend SFD. She will work with any budget and make it fabulous!
