There really should be a 6 out of 5 option for vendors like Lori. She was the second vendor we booked, only the venue came first. Why? Because in every picture I've seen of hers, the bride looks beautiful. There were other photographers who were artsier, or edgier, but Lori's photography really captures the emotion and beauty of the wedding day.

She customized our package to our liking, and was completely flexible with what we wanted. She listened to our suggestions, and tweaked them to make them work. She's a consummate professional. Oh... and did I mention our pictures are GORGEOUS? First the engagement pictures: The people who have seen them have said they're some of the most artistic and stunning engagement pics they've ever seen. We shot at three different locations, and she captured the mood and tone perfectly at each site.

And then... the wedding. Lori and her second shooter, Jeremy, captured the most beautiful images of our wedding. I literally got teary-eyed when I saw some of them on her blog. One of my friends saw them and said "Those pictures look like they're straight out of a bridal magazine." She's right. Lori's got a great eye, and knows how to frame a shot. And guess what? I, the bride, look beautiful in every picture she has up there. It's a true testament to her artistry.

So, if you want artistic (but not bizarre and weird) wedding pictures, and want to work with one of the sweetest human beings I've ever had the privilege of meeting, check Lori out.

Lori is an amazing photographer! She is friendly, professional, creative, and flexible. I would highly reccomend Lori Barbely. We were thrilled with our wedding photos and so excited to find out that they will be featured in Weddings Florida magazine. Lori is the BEST!

Lori has been wonderful to work with. After visiting her website, I was so impressed with her photos. The best thing about Lori is her adoration of photography! I can't wait to have Lori shoot my wedding!

Lori Barbely was absolutely wonderful to work with and the rest of our vendors loved working with her as well. Beautiful photographs, creative framing and excellent responsiveness to our needs and wishes throughout the entire process, and even a year after our wedding! We can't wait to have her photograph our mile stones through the rest of our life.

Our wedding was beautiful!! Thanks to lori we have the greatest memories in pictures to share with everyone.Lori was very professional but she gets along with you like she has known you forever.She was even early which was a big +++ because i was very nervous.I would defintley use her in the future and recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. Lori did an AMAZING job photographing my wedding. She was great to work with and went above and beyond her job and helped my day to be stress free. Lori was reasonably priced, extremely professional and took beautiful pictures and had them to me in a very short amount of time. I really just can't say enough good things about her, I'd highly recommend her to anyone.

I provide a mix of color and black & white images.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

I've shot in pretty much every condition there is from full sun to low light to no light!

Is your media preference film or digital?

100% Digital

How many photographers do you work with?

I am the primary photographer and shoot every wedding I book. I utilize a second photographer at each wedding and I have a select handful of people that I work with on a regular basis.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes, I shoot every wedding that I book.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

I only ever book one wedding per day and rarely do I book more than one wedding per weekend.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Yes, I have a group of fellow photographers available to provide back up in the event of an emergency.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

I used Canon professional digital cameras, lenses, and flashes. External lighting is brought in case the venue is super dark.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes, I have at least 2 camera bodies and 2 flashes and a large variety of lenses. My second photographers also have a wide variety of equipment, so we're well covered in the event that a piece of gear stops working.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

My basic package is for 8 hours. Additional hours of coverage can be added if desired.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

Very few. A quick one to eat and I'll run to the ladies room as needed, but it's pretty infrequent. And the good thing about having a second photographer is that there's always someone there to capture the moment.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

No later than 4 weeks after your wedding day.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

An online, password protected proof gallery of low resolution images.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

The proof galleries are online for 90 days.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes. But all of my packages include high resolution digital files with a release for the couple to print the images anywhere.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yes, but only in ways that advertise my business, such as my website, business cards, brochures, etc and wedding magazines that feature real wedding couples.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

Yes, digital negatives of your wedding are provided.

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes.

What kind of albums do you offer?

A contemporary flush mount style album with over 30 cover options.
