The Los Angeles Athletic Club

This was the most beautiful, classiest wedding I could have hoped for. The wood-paneling and stark chandeliers along with the beautiful trim set off any color scheme -- the venue is great because there is this awesome old school wood bar and you can have your ceremony, your cocktail hour and your reception in the same large area (which is divided up, spacially). The roof makes for excellent cityscape pictures and the rooms have tons of natural light for pre-ceremony photos.

What I should really rave about is how wonderful Kelly is. Kelly is absolutely fantastic - we had a gay wedding and there were no questions asked (we got a lot of that at other venues) - just tons of " how can we make this wonderful, awesome and affordable" Kelly kept our cost in mind and she worked well with all the other vendors - recommending reasonably priced vendors that worked with our budget but whom also knew the club really well for our flowers and our DJ. She was a star - when we were having cake issues - she actually went to Hansen's and drove to get cake samples for us because we were running short on time! When there was a minor glitch day of with seating, she fixed it like a pro. She ran the rehersal perfectly and had the wedding set really well - she worked well with our friend, an amateur musician for the ceremony music - proving that she doesn't need to just have experts for it to be amazing. She was so dedicated - and able to accommodate nearly every request we had, from changing the vegetarian option to creating a really neat seating plan for the ceremony. She had our wedding on top of the timeline and it was really a wonderful experience. When we asked for two bridal prep rooms - no sweat - and she got a mirror in a room that didn't have one for the big day - without us even reminding her.

This place is wonderful. We are members of the club, so we had a nice discount. The bar package is quite reasonable and as members of the club, I can tell you that the bar tenders for events are truly wonderful. We closed the bar for an hour during dinner, which saved us some money and we really appreciate being able to do that.

The package is a really wonderful deal - the place is wonderful - and the service fantastic. LOVED my experience.

The LAAC is a venue that takes you back in time to Old Hollywood glamour. The unassuming facade from the street betrays the elegance and excellence that thrives inside. We had our wedding ceremony and reception there last weekend and Kelly and Jose in catering saw to it that we had not a care in the world. Their professionalism in such a beautiful venue genuinely created the perfect setting for our event. The food prepared by Chef Boris' skilled hands, was prepared perfectly. Each meal was delicious and beautiful to behold. Absolutely everything was attended to with swift grace. Timing, food, rooms, service were all flawless. The newly renovated ballroom and guest rooms were elegant and maintained the flavor of the club's rich history, yet with modern amenities. Most of our family came in from out of town and stayed on site in the hotel. Each guest was delighted with their stay and raved about the accommodations and the hotel staff.The LAAC truly has it all! Run - do not walk - to book your next event here. You will not be disappointed!

We had our ceremony and reception here. The venue is gorgeous, the staff is professional and the food is delicious. Kelly is so easy to work with and she and Jose will make sure that your event goes perfectly. We received so many compliments on the food, staff, venue, hotel, etc. etc. etc. I just cannot get over how great of a day it was. You just won't find another venue like LAAC.

Absolutely perfect wedding venue! we had the whole floor to ourselves with a beautiful bar and our Guests had access to a newly remodeled hotel. Not your traditional hotel so it was perfect! and they were very flexible to get us exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend it!

We Loved our venue!! It has that old world feel to it. It made for a vintage and elegant vibe. Kelly, the event coordinator, was so accomidating and wonderful to work with. The food was amazing! Our guest were so impressed, from the cocktail hour to dinner to the dessert chocolate fountain. The Los Athletic Club gave us more bang for our buck, in comparrison to the venues in the area. This included all the alcohol,appetizers,dinner,tables,linens,chairs,chocolate fountain,our wedding cake,and even a bridal suite! We even took pictures on the rooftop at night and they turn out gorgeous! We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our wedding!

We had several requirements for our wedding - we wanted it to be indoors, we wanted the ceremony and the reception to be in the same place, and we wanted it to be in a unique venue. The Los Angeles Athletic Club met all of our requirements, and as an extra bonus, has a fantastic hotel that our guests could stay at for a reasonable rate. The LAAC staff is great, the food was delicious and the venue is beautiful. And they were able to make our signature cocktails to our specifications with no problems. We can't wait to see the photos!

The Los Angeles Athletic Club is the perfect choice for a Wedding and Event Venue. We love working with their team of professionals. All aspects of the events that we have had a pleasure to be a part of were as smooth and professional as could possibly be. Not only did they create a wonderful event but they do it with calmness, poise and class. We highly recommend them for any event!

The Los Angeles Athletic Club is one of my favorite venues in Los Angeles. In addition to being unique and gorgeous, Kelly and her staff are top notch! I have seen them, time and time again, go above and beyond for each and every one of their couples.
