About Love in Bloom
I started life with a love of flowers. My mother was a hobby gardener and I grew up surrounded by beautiful flowers. Even as a child I would pick and arrange flowers by matching colors for my teachers. My natural instincts for color design was
noticed by relatives and my parents friends. I did flower arrangements for family friends and relatives all through my childhood. I drifted away from flowers in high school and college. Creating the floral decor for my grandparents 50th
anniversary drew me back in. A friend in college asked me to do the flowers for her wedding. I loved it. But it wasn't until I was planning my own wedding I realized my passion for wedding floral. I found it frustrating and difficult to find a florist who
I could afford to meet with and who met my floral expectations. After my wedding I thought surely other brides feel the same way and Love in Bloom was born.
I am a self-taught florist with a good amount of real world experience. I worked as a florist for Safeway for 2 years and specialized in weddings and events. I did many weddings while working for Safeway. I left Safeway to pursue my private career in wedding and special event floral.
