Reviews for Lucky Bamboo and Flowers

Sung and her team are truly amazing! After about 3 consultations we were able to finalize and express our vision for the wedding. Everything was PERFECT! I was elated on my special day! My bouquet was so heavy due to so many roses---superb quality of roses with bling designs--Thank you!!!

Lucky Bamboo came very highly recommended. I decided to use them. First I made an appointment. When I showed up, they didn't have my appointment on record but they saw me anyway. I still ended up going with them. I chose to pick up the flower instead of having them delivered. I arrived on my wedding day and they were ready. I ordered 12 centerpiece balls, 1 bridal bouquet, 1 maid of honor bouquet, 2 other bouquets, 1 groom's bout, and 2 other bouts. The centerpieces looked fabulous, but the bouquets looked very cheap. I wanted lushness and richness. Plus they put these green berry things in my bouquet. It reminded me of Christmas. I was so disappointed. But I was in too much of a hurry to have them change it.

I was slightly apprehensive when I first read the reviews for this shop in downtown. But it was so hard not to be amazed by the gorgeous work they do when walking past this little shop in downtown flower district. The owner Song is a very very talented artist. I ended up hiring them for my recent February wedding for all the reception and ceremony arrangements, as well as for the personal flowers and my bridal bouquet. Here are my reasons for 5 stars:- exceptional work, I still get compliments for all the arrangements- very affordable, other shops would not want to work with my tight budget- they delivered everything from downtown to both: Pasadena and West Covina, CA and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg.- great customer service, they are honest and will give you alternative ideas to work with a really tight budgetThey are very very easy to work with and I was one of those brides that really was hunting for something different yet romantic and had collected tons of pictures from magazines that I used as a reference. I made sure to ask the questions such as: Will these flowers still be in season by the time my wedding comes by? To avoid any headaches. I was in the clear. I got the wedding of my dreams because of the amazing work this shop did. My bouquet was extraordinary, the reception was dazzling with deep anthuriums, my favorite cymbidium orchids, roses, tulips, and more. I can't wait to have another event in which I can hire this shop again!

Lucky Bamboo is located in Downtown L.A. in the Flower Mart. Note, that you will DEFINITELY get better prices in this area than if you go to a florist where you live. The reason for this is that your florist, if they aren't already located in the Flower Mart, HAS to get their flowers from here. Therefore you are paying for the fact that they must travel to L.A. for the flowers too. Also, you are paying less because there are multiple florists competing in one area. It is slightly inconvienient to tavel into Downtown, but the savings on cost ends up being well worth it. The florists @ Lucky Bamboo can do whatever you want, the only problem for me is that there was quite a language barrier. If you have something specific in mind-bring a picture, this way you won't be let down. Everyone who works there has VERY THICK accents. If you, or someone you can bring, speaks Spanish, you will be fine because some of their florists speak Spanish. I'm not sure which language the owners speak, but they are from Asian decent-I don't want to assume exactly from what country? Everyone, however is SUPER nice & willing to help! I got many compliments on my flowers & when I told my closest girlfriends the cost they were blown away & thought I would have spent @ least $2,000.00 more!

Should be a little bit knowledgeable regarding types of flowers / flower names & colors before going to the shop because there was a slight communication problem with their staff. In other words, not the best place to be educated. However, they are flexible and creative in coming up with alternatives to meet your budget. Loved the end result of potted mini orchids (a variety of pots to choose from, not just terra cotta). They were professional and I was able to book them a month before my wedding. I left everything up to them and consider it a good thing that I did not have to contact them the day of the wedding or post wedding.

Lucky Bamboo and Flowers made my dream wedding floral visions to life. I wanted my main flower to be calla lillies and they found a way to incorporate these expensive flowers without breaking the bank. The only reason they got 4 stars not 5 because they missed some minor details.

Our flowers were very simple and elegant for our wedding. Lucky Bamboo and Flowers, which is located downtown L.A., were very accomadating to my budget as well as my ideas. Our centerpieces consisted of white roses and hygrangeas with a touch of greenery, as well as sliced kiwis and lime at the bottom of the glass vases in which they were in. Since im a big lover of "bling" our centerpieces, as well as my bouquet, all had crystals in the center of each rose which added that special something to our day. Not only did we get a great deal on all of our flowers, Lucky Bamboo also threw in a free silk flower girl basket which was quite nice!!!!
