We Love: Glamour This!

Congratulations to Kelly of Blush!nk. I had the honor of seeing a sneak peek behind the scenes as Blush!nk and Glamour This! came together. It is better than I imagined. Please make sure you stop by for daily inspiration.

Inspiration Board #29: I Heart Stardust

Style Me Pretty's Style Circle inspiration board tool helped me create this inspiration board. It was created around the stunning necklace found via I Heart Luxe. This oxidized sterling silver necklace from Plum & Sage had me completely captivated.

Real Destination Wedding: Valentina and Daniel - Part II

We are back with more from Puerto Vallarta and The Dazzling Details...

Dinner tables were dressed in jewel-tone linens with elegant but very Mexican centerpieces consisting of beautiful florals popping out of adobe bowls, hanging tin stars, colorful candles and punched-tin cans as floral vases at the ends of the tables.  Slightly elevated above the guest tables, the bride and groom sat at a special table for two, set beneath a tin roof with dangling stars, orchids, twinkle lights and beautiful draping chiffon.

The hit of the night was a hand-painted photo station created by The Dazzling Details using Tina and Dan’s invitations as the inspiration!  The piece was carefully cut and crafted by projecting the invite image onto the wooden background and then hand-painting the projection to perfection!

The end of the evening brought fireworks and a traditional fire dance performance which sent guests, “oohing and aahing”, off into the Puerto Vallarta night!

A huge thank you to The Dazzling Details for sharing this lovely event with us. For all those planning a destination wedding, The Dazzling Details offer all Lucky Me readers 10% discount on our coordination costs (just mention Lucky Me!).

Real Destination Wedding: Valentina and Daniel - Part I

Today's wedding comes straight to us from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Wouldn't we all love to be there today? Kristin, owner of The Dazzling Details was kind enough to share some details from Valentina and Daniel's wedding day with us.

From Kristin...

Valentina and Daniel’s destination wedding brought together family and friends from England, Mexico and the United States.  The couple chose jewel tones of purple, pinks and mauve and really hoped to create an ambiance of beach blended with traditional Mexico.  To assist us in the design process, Tina and Dan put together an inspiration board featuring elements that represented Mexico to them -   Calaveras (craft skulls), punched tin, Milagros (flaming heart figurines), tin stars, laminated rooftops and beautiful florals.  In addition, the couple’s wedding invitation and their much-loved Chihuahua took a front seat in the final wedding design!

The ceremony took place on the sandy beach, and vows were exchanged beneath a tin-roof canopy with flowing chiffon and hanging tin stars.  Wrought iron hooks intertwined with dendrobium orchids and additional hanging tin stars lined the aisle, and the bride carried a stunning bouquet of colorful roses, baby roses and calla lilies.  The bridal party was free to wear anything they wanted, and the resulting eclectic bridal fashion added such a fun touch and uniqueness to the day!

(You know I have an affinity for unique bridesmaid dresses!)

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to the reception area where a Mexican beach lounge and the dinner reception wrapped romantically around the dance floor draped in dreamy chiffon and lit with twinkle lights.

STAY TUNED FOR PART 2!
